Back at the dorm, Estelle and Blair were both there.

Seeing Cecilia suddenly return, Estelle Goodman, who was sitting at her vanity putting on makeup, froze. "Huh? I thought we agreed to meet at the cafeteria for lunch. Why are you back now? Did you forget something?"

"Something’s up!"

Cecilia said, turning to look at Blair. "Blair, there’s something I have to tell you."

Blair’s brow furrowed in suspicion. It was rare to see Cecilia in such a hurry, and she blinked in curiosity. "Good news or bad news? You’re being so secretive."

Estelle Goodman was also looking at Cecilia, completely lost as to what was going on.

Cecilia motioned for the two of them to pull their chairs together, then opened her phone to a folder Fabian Griffin had just sent her. "Blair, your top donor—the one with the username ’Fifty Shades of Grey’—is actually Eugene Jacobs."

With no preamble whatsoever, Cecilia laid the whole truth out on the table.

"What?"

Estelle Goodman was so shocked she shot up from her chair. "The ’Fifty Shades of Grey’ who’s been showering Blair with gifts is Eugene Jacobs?"

In contrast to Estelle Goodman’s dramatic reaction, Blair didn’t seem to have fully grasped the situation yet. The name Eugene Jacobs just sounded vaguely familiar to her, and it took her a moment to place it.

"Isn’t Eugene Jacobs that guy I went with you to meet at the coffee shop that morning?"

Cecilia nodded. "That’s him!"

Estelle Goodman said agitatedly to Blair, "He’s not a good person! Blair, you have to stay away from him. He probably has ulterior motives!"

Blair reserved judgment on whether he was a good person, but since Cecilia had said she hated the man, Blair automatically filed him away in the enemy camp.

Still, the man had been showering her with gifts of real money, and he was, in fact, her top donor. So, Blair wanted to understand what had happened between him and her friends first.

Especially seeing how Cecilia and Estelle were reacting, it was obvious there was some inside story she didn’t know.

"What exactly is going on? You two seem to know this guy really well," Blair asked seriously.

Cecilia and Estelle Goodman exchanged a glance before Cecilia sighed softly. "Seeing how hard you’ve been working on your streams every day, I originally wasn’t going to tell you about this. But things have taken an unexpected turn, and at this point, there’s no reason to hide it from you anymore."

At this, Cecilia paused for a moment, organizing her thoughts before she continued to explain. "Here’s what happened..."

The whole story wasn’t complicated. Cecilia couldn’t explain the grudges between her and Eugene Jacobs from her past life, but the despicable things he had done to the girls in this life were enough to make anyone’s blood boil.

Cheating on his wife with multiple partners.

Luring people with promises of money and sponsoring their studies abroad.

Having relations with minors.

Filming explicit videos, spreading them on overseas forums, and blurring out only his own face. And so on.

At best, these vile acts could cost him his family and leave him with nothing; at worst, they could see him utterly disgraced and left to rot in prison.

As Blair listened to the story about Eugene Jacobs, her pretty face scrunched up in a frown. She had been so happy about a big spender like him suddenly appearing in her stream, never expecting he’d turn out to be this kind of person.

However, Blair wasn’t too affected. The internet was a virtual world, after all, and she would never meet one of her top donors in private anyway.

’What kind of person Eugene Jacobs was didn’t really matter to her,’ she thought. ’As long as the money she earned was real, that’s all that counts!’

"Are you two worried I’ll fall for his tricks?" Blair composed herself and managed a smile. "You really don’t have to worry about that. I won’t."

But Cecilia shook her head. "That’s not the issue."

"Then what is it?" Blair looked at Cecilia, puzzled, and said half-jokingly, "You’re not going to tell me to refuse his gifts, are you? I don’t have the power to do that!"

"Of course not. We’d be fools not to take money from trash like him. The more you can get, the better."

At that, Cecilia’s expression suddenly turned grave. She looked at Blair with quiet intensity. "But I want to put him in prison."

Blair’s eyes widened in surprise when she heard that.

Cecilia continued, "He’s your top donor, but I’m going to put him away. I felt I had to be upfront with you about it, no matter what. I hope you won’t blame me."

This was the real reason Cecilia had decided to be completely honest with Blair today.

She felt there shouldn’t be any secrets between them. If Eugene Jacobs went to prison, it meant Blair would lose her stream’s biggest patron, and Cecilia would inevitably be responsible for that loss.

But Eugene Jacobs deserved to be punished. If a man like him was allowed to continue living his life without a care in the world, it would be the greatest injustice to all the people he had hurt.

Cecilia herself was one of them, but this was about far more than just her.

Blair snapped out of her daze and nodded lightly. "How could I blame you for something like this? I might be short on cash and really need a big spender like him, but in my heart, money will never be more important than doing the right thing. That’s what my Master taught me."

She understood where Cecilia was coming from. As her best friend, Cecilia felt it was her duty to be honest, regardless of how Blair herself might view the situation.

Just then, Estelle chimed in, "Anyway, we should just milk him for as much money as we can before he gets arrested."

Blair smiled. "If you need my help with anything, just let me know."

Cecilia felt a wave of relief. She squeezed Blair’s hand and said, "No, it’s fine. My plan is already in motion. You just focus on streaming and accepting his gifts."

After school that evening, Ethan Sterling and Jameson Stone went to a KFC near campus.

"I want some Original Recipe chicken, plus Popcorn Chicken and fries."

Jameson Stone flipped through the "Crazy Thursday" special deals. Everything was much cheaper than usual, and since there were two of them, they could eat a little extra.

Ethan Sterling added two burgers and two fruit juices before placing the order.

"It’s too bad Renee Reid couldn’t come," Jameson Stone said suddenly. "She loves KFC too, but she can never bring herself to spend money on it. She basically never spends on things like this."

Hearing this, Ethan Sterling couldn’t help but ask, "Is our class monitor’s family that badly off? Isn’t she from Lorcain?"

As Ethan Sterling understood it, shouldn’t a Lorcain local own a house? Even if it was an old one, it was still theirs. And based on Lorcain’s property values, that had to be worth at least a few million.

But Jameson Stone’s reply left Ethan Sterling utterly stunned.

"Renee Reid is an orphan. She’s lived with her uncle and aunt since she was a kid; they’re the ones who raised her. It’s not that their family is particularly poor, but Renee Reid has a very strong-willed personality. She’s incredibly grateful to her aunt and uncle for raising her and putting her through school, so she’s extremely frugal because she doesn’t want to be a burden on them. In her own words, every penny she saves is another penny for her family."
