Reborn into the 70: Turning Adversity into Her Dazzling Path
Chapter 1366 - 1367: Change to Another
Su Changsheng immediately rolled his eyes.
Gu Lingling covered her mouth and laughed, then went into the kitchen.
The Su Family also has an Aunt. Knowing that she was coming back today, she’d gone out to buy groceries, so Gu Lingling started prepping whatever ingredients were already on hand.
Who knew she’d only just started when the Aunt who’d gone shopping came running in with her basket. "Lingling, hurry back to the room and take a look, Mr. Su is fighting with someone."
Huh?
Weren’t he and Mr. Tian playing chess?
How did that turn into a fight?
Gu Lingling hurriedly put down the vegetables in her hands and ran out.
She hadn’t even reached the living room before she heard the two of them arguing. How... how did a nice peaceful game turn into a shouting match?
"Lingling, you came at the perfect time, come and judge for us." The moment he saw Gu Lingling come over, Mr. Tian said quickly.
"Judge what? You’re the one who didn’t keep your word, how can you blame me?" Su Changsheng also grabbed Gu Lingling. "Little girl, if someone doesn’t keep their promises, don’t listen to him."
Well this is... that is...
Gu Lingling felt a bit embarrassed. Seeing the two of them really going at it, she raised her voice. "If you want to wake Grandma up, then by all means, keep arguing."
All right, the living room went silent in an instant.
But the two of them stubbornly turned their heads away, each refusing to even glance at the other.
Seriously, a pair of old children, old children.
"What do you want to eat for lunch?" Gu Lingling asked helplessly.
"I want braised pork." Su Changsheng answered readily.
"You can’t." Gu Lingling widened her almond eyes at him. "I ran into Doctor Liang this morning."
Doctor Liang is Su Changsheng’s private doctor. He came over in the morning to do a routine checkup, and bumped into Gu Lingling on his way out. He said Mr. Su’s blood pressure has been a bit high lately and needs to be controlled.
Gu Lingling didn’t know if it was because there’s been too much going on recently and Mr. Su’s been getting worked up.
"I want sweet-and-sour fish." Mr. Tian said with a squinty smile. "As for the rest, you decide yourself."
"Okay, I’ll ask whether you can eat it later." Gu Lingling wasn’t about to fall for that. She said this and went to call Tian Wenbai.
"Little girl, if you call him he won’t let me eat anything." Mr. Tian grabbed Gu Lingling and said, "Fish is very healthy, you know."
"Then I’ll steam it for you." Gu Lingling said with a sweet smile.
If someone’s blood sugar is high, they really shouldn’t have too much sweet-and-sour fish.
"Steamed is good." Seeing Mr. Tian getting shut down, Su Changsheng said with a laugh, "My favorite thing in the world is the steamed fish my Lingling makes."
Mr. Tian: "..."
He found Su Changsheng more and more of an eyesore.
"Oh, right, remember to make the dishes your Grandma likes." Su Changsheng said to Gu Lingling. "And that shrimp you made last time—Grandma said it was really good."
"Okay." Gu Lingling looked at the two of them. "You’re not allowed to argue anymore. If you keep it up, I’ll punish you by not letting you eat."
The little girl sounded fierce, but her curved eyes and slightly upturned lips gave away her real thoughts, so this kind of threat didn’t really work on them.
Still, the two of them agreed readily.
"Another round?" Mr. Tian said to Su Changsheng.
"Bring it on, you think I’m afraid of you?" Su Changsheng said.
Gu Lingling shook her head.
These two... this is probably how they’re going to get along from now on.
"By the way, I heard you’re getting married?" Gu Lingling had just reached the doorway when she heard Mr. Tian say, "What kind of person is the groom? When are you bringing him over to let me have a look?"
If he doesn’t pass muster, we’ll swap him out for another one.
