Why are you still here cooking?

Zhao Jingmiao was anxious but she couldn’t go over and pull the person away.

"I don’t want this." She said from behind, "You should leave quickly. If the neighbors see, they’ll misunderstand."

"Misunderstand what?" Qian Bao replied, "Didn’t you say you weren’t getting married?"

If they misunderstand, it’s not a big deal.

Zhao Jingmiao, "..."

There was no way to respond to that.

Then, she watched as Qian Bao sauntered into the kitchen.

Seeing that the pot with the old hen on the stove hadn’t moved, he went over to turn on the heat, then went to the bathroom to get a basin of cold water, holding a towel and looking at Zhao Jingmiao who was standing there, "Come over."

Zhao Jingmiao, "..."

Doesn’t he just treat this place like his own home?

He doesn’t regard himself as an outsider at all.

"No need, I can do it myself." Zhao Jingmiao said with her head down, "You should leave, you’re not welcome here."

"You say I’m not welcome, so why are you crying?" Qian Bao’s face darkened.

This woman was still being contradictory.

"It’s my own business, it has nothing to do with you." Zhao Jingmiao replied.

But as soon as she finished speaking, she found herself being lifted up by Qian Bao.

"What are you doing, put me down now." Zhao Jingmiao was startled and hit him a few times, but Qian Bao only held her tighter.

"If you don’t want to fall, you’d better hold on tighter." Qian Bao said.

Zhao Jingmiao, "..."

That wasn’t her point at all.

Qian Bao carried her directly into the room, then put her on the bed and told her, "Lie down and don’t move."

Then he left.

When he returned, he brought in the basin and towel.

"Put it there, I’ll handle it myself later." Zhao Jingmiao glared at him angrily, "Qian Bao, didn’t you understand what I said?"

Qian Bao glanced at her, "I understood."

If he understood, then why act otherwise?

"I’m not crying, my eyes are just uncomfortable." Zhao Jingmiao said, "You should go, I’ll do a cold compress myself later."

Qian Bao nodded with his head down, but he kept working as if nothing changed.

"Close your eyes." He placed the towel over her eyes, "It’s a bit cold, bear with it."

Zhao Jingmiao, "..."

She understood now; she really had no temper left for Qian Bao.

"Qian Bao," Zhao Jingmiao lay there with her eyes closed, this time without resisting, "You really don’t need to feel guilty or anything, I’m fine."

"In fact, I should thank you." Zhao Jingmiao smiled as she said this, "If it were someone else..."

She suddenly recalled past events and tightly gripped her clothes with her hand on her stomach.

If it were someone else, she might have been drugged and...

Zhao Jingmiao’s tears flowed again.

This time, because of the towel over her eyes, they didn’t fall.

Suddenly, her tightly gripped hand felt warm, covered by a large palm.

It was Qian Bao’s hand.

Zhao Jingmiao hurriedly tried to break free, but Qian Bao held her firmly.

"Don’t be afraid, those things won’t happen again." He didn’t need to look to know for sure that this woman was crying again.

"I’m not crying." Zhao Jingmiao said hoarsely, "Let go of my hand."

"Okay, not crying." Whatever she says, goes.

"You should leave." Zhao Jingmiao irritably tore off the towel from her eyes, "Mr. Qian, how long has it been since you were with a woman? I’ve said things this clearly, do you want me to say it even harsher?"

"What do you really want from me?" Zhao Jingmiao stared at Qian Bao with her big eyes, "Want me? Fine."

She said, and started to undo her own clothes.

"Zhao Jingmiao."
