Chapter 2361: Chapter 2355: Do You Especially Hate Me?
"I only know they all call him the principal, but he has a big brother called Gong Wuyou who’s really handsome." Qin Jiale thought she only remembered the name Gong Wuyou because neither the principal’s nor the teacher’s names had been mentioned. She really didn’t know what they were called.
"Gong Wuyou?" Ye Li committed the name to memory. That this girl could remember a name and even compliment it as handsome, he thought it might be a potential danger.
"Yeah, that’s what my sister and the others call him." Qin Jiale didn’t really know what was going on, but since her sister called him that, she remembered it too.
"Alright, I got it. About Shushu’s matter, see if you can help ask around. If that’s not possible, I’ll have my dad check it out. He should be able to find some connections." Ye Li had his own ideas too. Later, he would go find Pang Chao and see if he wanted to transfer back to the Imperial Capital together. Regardless of his answer, Ye Li would respect his decision. Over the years, he had spent quite a bit of time accompanying him in H Province, so he was grateful to him.
"Okay, you guys handle that yourselves. Didn’t my brother-in-law invite you over for dinner tonight? Just talk to him directly." Qin Jiale’s affairs were all handled by Chu Qulin, she didn’t have the means to help them.
So it was better for them to speak with the brother-in-law directly. If there were any issues, they could be clarified without her having to relay messages back and forth; it was too troublesome.
"Alright then, tonight I’ll ask Big Cousin. I really want to study with you, and if we can’t transfer together, I’ll cry my eyes out." Ye Zishu had rarely found a friend who matched her so well, and she didn’t want to be too far separated from her. She knew well that no matter how close friends are, if they’re apart for a long time and too far away, the relationship would change slowly, and that was not something she wanted.
"Shushu, you didn’t mention this before." Ye Li looked at Ye Zishu, surprised she’d forgotten to discuss something so important.
"Haha, my mistake, my mistake." Ye Zishu laughed awkwardly. She genuinely didn’t remember, and hadn’t brought it up with Ye Li. Otherwise, if they went out to eat later, she’d feel guilty.
"Never again." Ye Li shot Ye Zishu a glare.
"It won’t happen." Ye Zishu truly just forgot temporarily.
"Alright, go tell Dad to come home early so we can go to big brother’s for dinner." Ye Li asked Ye Zishu to call him, since her memory was sometimes unreliable.
"Got it, I’ll go, okay?" Ye Zishu responded gloomily.
"I noticed you’re particularly harsh to Shushu and me. Why is that?" Qin Jiale couldn’t hold back her question any longer.
"Why do you think?" Ye Li was curious about her explanation.
"Are you holding a grudge against us?" Qin Jiale couldn’t come up with any other explanation.
"Is that what you think?" Ye Li wondered about her thought process, incredulous at her bizarre reasoning.
"Yeah, people only treat someone differently if they dislike them. Isn’t being harsh just a sign of dislike?" Qin Jiale shared her viewpoint; you don’t like someone, so it’s only natural to be stern rather than pleasant.
"You really want to aggravate me." Ye Li was exasperated, wondering if her mental wiring was short-circuited to interpret him this way. Others would be glad for such attention from him, yet she believed it was out of dislike, which was infuriating.
