Chapter 2196 - 2190: What’s Going On With the Chus?
Chapter 2196: Chapter 2190: What’s Going On With the Chus?
"I just find the Chus quite strange. You say that Chu Yehui left home years ago and hasn’t returned. So, where has he been all these years? Plus, now that you’re leaving too, could there be something wrong with the family’s feng shui?" Qin Xue was rambling a bit.
"What nonsense are you thinking? If I hadn’t left, I wouldn’t have met you. I actually think it was all arranged by fate, just to make sure I meet you, marry you, and fall in love," Chu Molin was grateful to destiny.
"Don’t forget one thing." Qin Xue looked at Chu Molin and pouted.
"What thing?" Chu Molin, seeing her suddenly unhappy, was puzzled.
"The one who was supposed to marry you wasn’t me. If I hadn’t come, then the one you were in love with wouldn’t have been me either." Qin Xue suddenly turned jealous.
"What silly talk is this? Apart from you, when have I ever been in love with anyone else? Haven’t I told you before that with her, it was only duty, no love. But with you, my feelings are genuine." Chu Molin finally understood what it means when a woman makes a fuss over nothing.
"Haha, just teasing you! Look at you getting all tense. I know that you can like someone for a long time, but falling in love happens in an instant. I totally get it." Qin Xue was dazzled by him at first sight, and then, upon getting to know him, gradually fell in love.
But Chu Molin felt differently about her; he fell in love with her in no time, and she was sure of that. They say men are rational and women are emotional. Although there’s only a two-character difference in Chinese, falling in love for a man is just that. Women, conversely, let the initial fondness slowly open up their hearts. Theoretically, these are different concepts.
"You little rascal, don’t say such things again to scare me, okay?" Chu Molin was genuinely afraid she’d get upset.
"Okay, don’t worry. I won’t. You’re one of a kind in this world." Qin Xue wasn’t foolish. Why would she give up on such a wonderful man? Not everyone gets a second chance after losing someone; where could she possibly find him again?
"Alright." Chu Molin pulled her into his embrace. This girl had no idea how much he loved her. He could become a god for her, or a demon for her.
The couple laughed and joked around, talking about all sorts of topics.
"Chu Molin, we should head back now." Qin Xue didn’t want to continue the topic from before. They’d already discussed everything they needed to. They’d decided on their approach to the Chus’ issues, and there was no rush, as they couldn’t find anyone now anyway. It needed to be investigated slowly.
"Ok, I’ll have someone take you back." Chu Molin looked at the three girls. He wasn’t comfortable letting them walk back alone.
"Wouldn’t that be inconvenient? It’s just the three of us; we can walk back slowly." Qin Xue wasn’t comfortable using their car and preferred to take the good old route back.
"Aren’t you afraid of that grove? Don’t worry, they’re going out to pick up supplies anyway. Let them give you a ride." Chu Molin remembered how scared she was the last time they went past that grove. How could he let her walk through there alone?
Earlier, he’d been by her side, so he didn’t worry. But now that he had to work and couldn’t accompany her, she still wanted to try to bravely walk through. No way he’d allow that.
"Alright, I’m just worried it might interfere with your work." Qin Xue just didn’t want them to think she was misusing public resources; that wouldn’t be good for his reputation.
What Qin Xue didn’t know was that here, Chu Molin could use the car whenever he wanted. He just didn’t use it much because he rarely went out during work.
"Don’t worry about it, you’re overthinking." Chu Molin was genuinely worried she’d overthink herself into baldness.
