Chapter 1895: Chapter 1889: Show Some Verbal Restraint

"Let’s go to the living room, I’ll take care of it for you. Don’t mess up my place; I’ll have to clean up afterwards." Nangong Susu took out the medicine box and left a sentence for the man before she went to the living room first.

What an interesting woman, even more interesting than that Silver Wolf woman. It seems the world isn’t as he thought it was. X stood up, paused for a moment, then slowly walked out of the bedroom.

"Do you want to do it yourself or should I help you?" Nangong Susu placed alcohol, cotton swabs, and medicine powder neatly on the table, asking without looking up.

"Are you always this straightforward with your patients?" X unbuttoned to expose the wound, chuckling while asking Nangong Susu.

"If you want to treat the wound, cut the nonsense. If not, please take fifteen steps to the door and exit, then close it behind you. Slow walk, no escort." Nangong Susu said while preparing to pack up the items on the table back into the medicine box.

"Hey, don’t. I’ll handle it. You have no idea; I’m almost dying from the pain. If it’s not treated, I might faint." X wasn’t lying; he was indeed suffering from blood loss and was on the verge of fainting. He was experiencing dizziness and if it weren’t for his strong willpower, he would’ve passed out already. He didn’t have the energy to engage in verbal sparring here.

"I can’t tell." Nangong Susu paused her actions, simply waiting quietly.

"Perhaps I give off too strong of an impression, so it doesn’t show how weak I am in this state." X didn’t know why he felt compelled to speak and tease her upon seeing Nangong Susu’s expressionless face, wondering if she’d show another emotion. But as of now, he hadn’t seen anything; is this woman incapable of smiling or getting angry?

"Are you done yet? I only asked you to expose the wound, but you’re slower than a snail." Nangong Susu looked at the man moving at a snail’s pace, thinking a grown man shouldn’t be so hesitant, it was really "petty."

In Nangong Susu’s mind, men who were not straightforward always seemed like effeminate types.

X wondered if he would still attempt to tease Nangong Susu knowing he’d receive such an evaluation.

"Don’t rush me; I’m injured here. It hurts, so it’s normal to be slow, right?" X was speechless; he was genuinely in pain. Actually, it wasn’t just pain, one side of his hand was numb, rendering it weak, so he could only rely on the other hand, and even that numb hand had to cooperate laboriously with the functional one.

"Such a dawdler, rip." Following Nangong Susu’s words, a ripping sound echoed as the fabric of X’s shirt was torn in half.

"Woman, your temperament is way too impatient, isn’t it?" X looked at the torn shirt, twitching his mouth slightly.

"A grown man, still fussing around." Nangong Susu didn’t even glance at him, grabbed a cotton swab soaked in alcohol, and applied it.

"Men can have their weak moments too, hiss, woman, lighten your hand; it hurts." X shivered in pain, wondering if this woman was being too heavy-handed.

"If you know it hurts, show some verbal dignity." Nangong Susu looked at this frivolous man, regretting why she agreed to help him, pondering if she could back out now.

"Just joking, no need to take it so seriously." X grimaced in pain.

"It’s done, you can go." Nangong Susu didn’t respond to his words but hastened her actions to treat his wound.

"I said you can leave, wasn’t it just now you were quite talkative? How come you aren’t speaking now..." Nangong Susu hadn’t finished her sentence when she raised her head and saw the man had passed out. What’s going on?
