After spotting the car parked not far away, Chu Lingxiu ignored what Gu Shuxin was saying and pulled Shen Nian toward the vehicle.

Gu Shuxin gritted her teeth behind them, then hurried to catch up with Chu Lingxiu and Shen Nian.

Chu Lingxiu and Shen Nian had just reached the car when they saw someone get out.

Neither of them reacted much when they saw Chu Yunze get out of the driver’s seat. After all, he had already made a point of telling them he would be coming to pick them up today.

What surprised them was the man who emerged from the passenger seat after Chu Yunze.

"Ah Cheng, what are you doing here?"

"Brother Lu, you came too?"

Shen Nian knew Lu Cheng must have been incredibly busy lately, so she figured it was already a struggle for him to make time for the banquet.

She hadn’t expected Lu Cheng to go out of his way to come pick her up from the university with Chu Yunze!

Although she was surprised, she was even more overjoyed!

Even though she and Lu Cheng had only been apart for a few days, she already missed him terribly!

Even without the Chu Family’s banquet, Shen Nian had planned on going to the company to see Lu Cheng as soon as the weekend started.

Now that she was seeing Lu Cheng earlier than planned, how could she not be thrilled?

In her excitement, Shen Nian let go of Chu Lingxiu’s hand and walked right up to Lu Cheng, her face breaking into a wide smile.

If they weren’t at the university with so many students gawking, she might have thrown herself right into Lu Cheng’s arms.

"Mm, I came to pick you up."

The moment Lu Cheng stepped out of the car, his eyes were glued to Shen Nian. She was overjoyed, and so was he.

In fact, watching her walk toward him with a radiant smile, Lu Cheng had to use all his self-control not to pull her into his arms right there in front of everyone.

He desperately wanted to, but he couldn’t risk damaging Shen Nian’s reputation in the slightest. Even though they were a married couple, being so intimate on campus would still stir up gossip.

"Mm!"

Shen Nian didn’t ask Lu Cheng how he’d found the time to come, or how long it had taken him. Just being able to see him was enough to make her happy!

"Alright, alright, I know a day apart feels like three years to you two. You’ll have plenty of time for each other when we get back home. Let’s get in the car already! We still have to get ready when we get there!"

Chu Yunze said with a look of resignation, watching Lu Cheng and Shen Nian. Every time he saw his friend and his wife together, no matter what they were doing, he felt like he was being force-fed their PDA.

"Yeah, he’s right. Brother Lu, Xiao Nian, let’s get in the car first!"

"Mm."

Lu Cheng and Shen Nian nodded, and the four of them got ready to get in the car. Chu Lingxiu quickly claimed the front passenger seat Lu Cheng had been in, leaving the back seat to the married couple, Shen Nian and Lu Cheng. That way, she could spare herself from their inevitable PDA.

However, before the four of them could get into the car, someone appeared who wasn’t about to let them have their way.

"Brother Chu, Brother Lu, you’re here!"

Shen Nian frowned at the sound of Gu Shuxin’s voice. ’She clearly saw we were about to leave, yet she still ran over to greet them. Is this woman just a schemer, or is she completely clueless?’

It wasn’t just Shen Nian who frowned. The expressions on the others’ faces weren’t much better, especially those of the siblings, Chu Yunze and Chu Lingxiu.

After all, they all knew she had a thing for Lu Cheng.
