"Hmph, you’ve gone too far!"

This time, it was Shen Nian’s turn to be angry. How was she supposed to go shopping looking like this? How could she possibly go back to her dorm? She’d die of embarrassment!

Lu Cheng looked at Shen Nian, acting as if he’d done nothing wrong at all.

"Look at me! How is this not going too far?!"

Shen Nian pointed to herself, gesturing for Lu Cheng to get a good look at her current state before saying with a pout.

"Well, what can I do? You’re the one who seduced me! You know I’ve never been able to resist you when you’re tempting me."

As he spoke, Lu Cheng shrugged at Shen Nian, all traces of the blush he’d had from her earlier words completely gone.

Shen Nian looked at Lu Cheng, a little surprised. ’This guy adapts way too quickly!’

"W-who seduced you?"

"You weren’t trying to seduce me, my ’beloved sister’?"

"’B-beloved sister’?"

Shen Nian’s eyes went wide as she stared at Lu Cheng. ’When did I ever say something like that?’

"I’m your ’beloved brother,’ so doesn’t that make you my ’beloved sister’?!"

Alright then. Looking at Lu Cheng, Shen Nian finally understood what it meant to shoot yourself in the foot.

’Well, I brought this on myself, so I’ll just have to deal with it,’ she thought with a sigh. ’What else can I do?’

However, little did Shen Nian know that because of that one thing she’d said today, Lu Cheng wouldn’t be letting go of this "beloved brother, beloved sister" running gag anytime soon.

It was quite some time before Shen Nian and Lu Cheng finally got out of the car. While the color had mostly returned to Shen Nian’s face, her swollen, rosy lips weren’t going to look normal anytime soon.

As they walked down the street, Shen Nian could have sworn she felt the occasional stare from passersby.

As a result, Shen Nian took out all her frustration on Lu Cheng.

Lu Cheng felt the pinch on his arm but didn’t mind in the slightest. In fact, he found the feeling to be a mix of pain and pleasure.

Besides, a little pinch from his girl was nothing more than a tickle to him. He was overjoyed that she felt comfortable enough to be so coquettish with him!

Still feeling self-conscious, Shen Nian bought what she needed as quickly as possible. When they got back to the university, she only had Lu Cheng walk her to the entrance of her dorm building.

"You should head back now. If you leave too late, it’ll be a hassle to get back."

Shen Nian said, taking the bags from Lu Cheng’s hands.

If she could, she would have loved for Lu Cheng to stay with her forever, but she knew his situation was unique. It was already a feat for him to get a single day off.

"I don’t want to leave you."

Lu Cheng looked at Shen Nian. He knew he had to go, but he just couldn’t bring himself to leave. The time he’d spent with her had been the happiest of his life.

And now, they had to part ways. How could he stand it?

Even though they wouldn’t be far from each other, he wouldn’t be able to see her or hear her voice whenever he wanted.

"Be good. I’ll come see you on the weekend."

After speaking, Shen Nian glanced around. Once she was sure no one was looking, she stepped forward, leaned in, and gave Lu Cheng a light kiss on the lips as both compensation and a reward.

Shen Nian’s boldness made Lu Cheng’s eyes light up. He wrapped his arms around her and immediately deepened the kiss.
