"What?" Han Yong rolled his eyes and turned over, not even looking at Han Ziyan. He never knew that Han Ziyan was like a mad dog. She would bite everything that moved; it was better to ignore her lest she cause trouble for him.

When Han Ziyan saw that he was ignoring her, she felt even angrier. She could not help but say ruthlessly, "You are really good. Your family is really good as well. Your aunt almost caused me to become a barren woman, and yet I cannot even have some canned fruit? This is really too much."

Han Yong was tired, and his butt was hurting too much; on top of that, Han Ziyan kept crying and yelling. He rolled his eyes and turned his head to one side. "Hey now. There is no need to make it sound like you are some sort of pitiful little thing. Our family has raised you for so many years, and you have lived better than us siblings. Are you really going to cry for a small can of peaches? We haven’t even started crying about all the meat, milk candies and clothes that you have eaten in the past when we were young!"

Han Ziyan was feeling upset because she was wronged just once, but when it came to the Han siblings, how many times had they been bullied? There was no end to the amount of bullying they had to suffer because of Han Ziyan. Compared to that, Han Ziyan was still living a good life. At least she was getting a full meal!

In the past, how many times had they had to stay hungry because their mother was not happy with their attitude?

Han Yong’s words were too brutal, and Han Ziyan could not say anything.

Fortunately, at that very moment, a bunch of nurses came and took Han Yong out of the ward. When Han Ziyan saw Han Yong leave, she could not help but bite her lip. Really. The Han family really did not treat her as their own. They left her alone in this small room all by herself. Not even Old Madam Han stayed behind, and yet they dared to say that they treated her better than their biological children.

Her eyes turned red with grievances; if only her mother had married her father, then nothing like this would have happened. She too would have her own family, and she would be taken care of as well.

"Ziyan?"

Meng Yunhan, who returned with the small can of canned peaches, was stunned when he saw Han Ziyan’s red eyes. Why was her precious daughter crying, and where was everyone? Why did they leave her alone? She frowned hard and walked over to the hospital bed worriedly. "Ziyan? Why are you crying? And where is Han Yong? Why is he not taking care of you?"

"Mom!" Han Ziyan threw herself into her mother’s arms when she saw her return. "Mom, where were you? You have no idea how I was bullied by them. Forget about taking care of me; they mocked me and even changed the room. Look at me, I haven’t eaten anything, and yet I am being treated like this."

"I know that I have done something wrong, but is this how one should treat their family member? In the end, it was all because of the second aunt that I was agitated, and I almost lost my ability to become a mother. If not for her, then I could have cleaned this child up, and I wouldn’t have had to marry Yang Jianming. It is all her fault!"

"And Grandma. She is my own grandma; even if I am not her biological child, I was still raised in front of her. How could she abandon me like this? She even wants me to marry that jerk Yang Jianming. Mom! It’s all because that man threatened to tell everyone about the two of us that I had to do it. If not, why would I let that man blackmail me?"

"Mom, are you still my mom? How can you watch me get ruined like this?"

Meng Yunhan was filled with guilt when she saw Han Ziyan cry like the world was coming to an end. Of course, she felt sorry for her, but her hands were tied due to the baby in Han Ziyan’s belly. "Don’t cry. Even if you dislike this child, if you keep crying like this, then it will affect your overall health. You need to be strong, Ziyan."

"Mom, it’s easy for you to say. You are not the one who was abandoned by your family whom you treated wholeheartedly; it was I who was abandoned!" Han Ziyan was so upset that she forgot where she was and what she was saying; she almost blurted out the secret that Meng Yunhan had been hiding in her heart for so long.

"Shh!! What are you saying?" Meng Yunhan looked around wildly. She was worried that someone would hear that she had not been abandoned by her family. She had always carried the persona of someone who had been let down by her family.

If someone heard Han Ziyan’s words, then how would she explain all the expenses that she had made in the past? Han Yichen would skin her alive if he ever found out that she had spent that money on a man.

Once she was sure that no one had heard Han Ziyan, she turned and glared at her. "What are you doing? Are you trying to ruin your mother? If someone heard it, then do you have any idea how big a trouble I would be in?"

Han Ziyan also realised that she had said the wrong thing. She pursed her lips and silently sobbed. "Mom, I just feel upset. What have I done to be treated in such a manner?"

"Don’t think too much." Meng Yunhan patted Han Ziyan on the hand before saying to her, "You still have me; with your mother around, is there anything that you need to worry about?"

"As for marrying Yang Jianming...why are you fussing when there is Han Ruochen?" A ruthless glint flashed in Meng Yunhan’s eyes as she sneered. Since Old Madam Han wanted to pit her daughter, she would do the same to her precious granddaughter as well!
