Han Yong gritted his teeth. "There is no need to cry—I am not dead yet."

When Han Jianyou saw that Han Yong was showing a twisted expression, he thought that his elder brother was in a lot of pain. He rushed forward and hugged him. "Big brother, it’s great that you are not dead yet. If you died, then my sister-in-law would definitely have held me accountable and made me raise your son. I am too young to take on such a responsibility."

His words were filled with fear, but Han Yong only felt annoyance. Why did this brat suddenly bring Xu Yuanshu up? He raised his head and turned to look at Zhai Mumu, and sure enough, the woman was looking anywhere but at him. Seeing this, his expression turned ugly. However, he could not say anything with so many people in the ward.

Han Ziyan frowned. Who were these people? From the looks of it, these people were not simple. Their clothes were quite expensive. And wasn’t this man the same one who came to look for Han Ruochen many times?

"Kid, how are you feeling?" Old Master Zhai went forward and patted Han Yong on the arm. Now that he was here, he might as well ask about Han Yong’s condition. As for the woman on the bed beside him, Old Master Zhai glanced at her inconspicuously and noticed the look of sheer hatred in her eyes. This was not the gaze with which one would look at their family, and he immediately ignored the urge to ask about Han Ziyan’s condition.

Han Yong blushed and said in a low voice, "Grandpa, I am fine." He wanted to call Old Master Zhai ’Elder Zhai’, but when he thought about how his mother would end up clinging to the Zhai family after finding out that they were from the Zhai family, he immediately changed his way of addressing Old Master Zhai.

Old Madam Han nodded subtly; it was a good thing that all of her grandchildren were smart and knew that they could not disclose the Zhai family’s identity in front of Meng Yunhan and Han Ziyan.

Zhai Mumu also noticed the gaze that was falling on her again and again, but she never looked in that direction. Instead, she turned to look at Old Madam Han and said politely, "Grandma, we are really sorry about our sudden visit." She then handed the lunchboxes that the aunt at home had prepared to Old Madam Han. "We knew that you might not have eaten, so we brought dinner for you and the rest of the family. Please have something."

"You didn’t have to." Old Madam Han suppressed her suspicions when she saw Han Yong and Zhai Mumu acting so awkwardly and wore a gentle smile. She, however, took the lunchbox when she saw that Zhai Mumu had no intention of taking the lunchbox back. And it was a good thing as well because Han Xuehan returned not soon after and relayed, "Grandmother, all the shops outside are closed due to the dragon boat festival, and I cannot find anything for us to eat."

"Sit down. Your sister Mumu has brought dinner for us."

Han Xuehan was stunned when she saw the pretty woman standing in the middle of the ward. She was sure that she had seen this woman before, but then, when she saw that the clothes that the woman was wearing were too expensive, she shook her head. How could she know someone like her?

She innocently blinked her eyes and nodded at Zhai Mumu. "Thank you for your hard work, Sister Mumu."

"It was nothing." Zhai Mumu waved her hand and refused to accept the gratitude. Anyway, she was not the one who cooked the meal, and she was not the one who wanted to come here. It was all because of her big brother that she was dragged out of the house and taken to the hospital. If not, she would never have come to this place and to see Han Yong on top of that.

"Big brother, I think I will go back home now. It seems like the whistleblower exaggerated some things; everyone is safe and sound, and there is no need to worry." Zhai Mumu tugged her leather jacket closer to herself and walked out of the ward without saying anything else, nor did she wait for Zhai Muchen to agree.

When Zhai Muchen heard that she was going back home, he frowned hard. Suddenly, a thought came to his mind, and he said to her in a hurry, "You better go straight back home."

"I know!" Zhai Mumu’s face flushed red as she glared at her big brother on her way out of the ward.

Han Yong, on the other hand, turned pale. He raised his head and looked at the blushing Zhai Mumu. Suddenly, the excitement in his heart was all gone, and in its place, he could feel nothing but heartache. Zhai Mumu was dating someone? He knew that look in her eyes all too well. She only had that expression when she was in love with someone. In the past, it was him, and now it was someone else.

However, when he thought about how he was the one who had let her down, Han Yong did not dare to say anything. So what if she had another man? The two of them were no longer together.

"Here you go." Han Jianyou was unaware of the various emotions that were going through his brother’s head. Instead, he simply took out the can of canned fruit that Zhai Muchen brought for Han Yong because he thought that the one who was admitted to the hospital was Han Ruochen. "Big brother, eat this canned fruit. The doctor said that you cannot eat meat for the time being. So just make do with this canned peach." As he spoke, he picked up a slice and pushed it into the mouth of his brother.

After he finished feeding him, Han Jianyou happily exclaimed, "Brother, I like you very much. Look, I did not even eat this canned peach myself and gave it all to you."

Han Yong: "...." You brat! Your love is way too heavy!
