Seeing two strangers with his family, he eyed them warily.

He then turned to the silver-haired old woman and asked urgently, "Grandma, what’s wrong?"

The silver-haired woman pointed at Fu Mingxue. "I accidentally fell just now, and this young lady helped me up."

Then she turned to Fu Mingxue and her mother-in-law and said, "Let me introduce you. This is my grandson, Rong Jun."

"Rong Jun, thank this kind, warm-hearted young lady for me."

Rong Jun did as he was told. "Thank you!"

When he looked up, he finally got a clear look at Fu Mingxue’s face.

He was utterly stunned.

"You... You are—"

Fu Mingxue looked back at him, confused.

Mrs. Qin, however, frowned.

"Grandma, she... she’s—"

Rong Jun was so agitated he could barely speak.

Just then, the man who had been looking for Fu Mingxue finally found her.

"Comrade Fu Mingxue."

The moment he spoke, Fu Mingxue’s attention shifted to him. "Who are you?"

Seeing the crowd, the man gestured for Fu Mingxue to step aside to talk.

Fu Mingxue gave him a look, then walked to the side.

"Who are you?"

"Comrade Fu," the man said quickly in a low voice, "I’m here from the Research Institute to get you. This is my work ID. Could you please come with me to the institute? It’s urgent."

He took out his work ID and showed it to Fu Mingxue.

Fu Mingxue took the ID and examined it carefully. Once she confirmed it was legitimate, she handed it back.

"Alright. Let me just tell my family."

She walked back to Mrs. Qin’s side, her expression apologetic. "Mom, something’s come up at work that I have to handle. I can’t spend the rest of the day with you and the kids."

Mrs. Qin immediately replied, "Your work is more important. Don’t worry about us. Wenshu is here! With me, your mom, and Wenshu, that’s three adults. We’ll be fine. We can manage on our own."

Fu Mingxue gave the silver-haired woman a slight nod before leaving with the man.

But first, she walked over to her own mother.

"Mom, something came up at work, so I have to go. You and my mother-in-law have fun with the kids."

Mrs. Fu was surprised that someone had come all the way out here to find her daughter.

’Of course, work is important,’ she thought. ’For them to come all this way to find her, it must be urgent.’

She nodded at once. "Don’t you worry about us. We’ll have a great time on our own!"

Qin Wenshu, who was holding the camera, also chimed in, reassuring Fu Mingxue, "Don’t worry, Sister-in-law, you can go! I promise I’ll make sure both our mothers and the kids have a wonderful time."

With that, Fu Mingxue thanked them and left with the man.

After her daughter-in-law departed, Mrs. Qin said her goodbyes to the silver-haired woman and returned to Mrs. Fu and the children.

As they moved away, Rong Jun grew anxious. "Grandma, didn’t you notice? That young lady looked really familiar."

The silver-haired woman was taken aback by her grandson’s words.

"What do you mean?"

"Oh, Grandma! Her face... she looks just like the photos of Grand-aunt when she was young! Do you think she could be—?"

The silver-haired woman was utterly astonished to hear this.

"You’re saying she looks just like the person in the photograph?"

’Now that he mentions it,’ she thought, recalling the young woman’s face, ’she did look very familiar.’

’How did I not notice that before?’

"Quickly! Go ask that young woman for her name and address."

Upon hearing this, Rong Jun said at once, "Okay, Grandma. You stay right here, don’t move. I’ll go ask."

Seeing the group of people about to leave, the silver-haired woman urged him to hurry.

Rong Jun sprinted over to Mrs. Qin.
