Reborn in the 80s and Remarrying an Officer, Let the Ungrateful Cry!
Chapter 459: Untitled
"Alright, Qiaoqiao, go play with the little girl. Yu Yu, you take the little boy and play, too."
As soon as Mrs. Qin spoke,
Mrs. Fu set down the little one she was holding.
Qin Yue took his younger sister’s hand and walked over to the twins.
"Come on, I’ll take you guys to play."
He led the twins over to another area.
The twins were curious about their new older brother and sister, and they also liked the toys in their hands.
So they happily trotted after them.
The world of a child is quite simple.
Qin Yue was the oldest, so he would look out for the three younger ones.
And so, the four of them were soon playing together happily.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Qin, Mrs. Fu, and the rest of the Qin Family sat together chatting.
Mr. Qin said to Mrs. Fu, "This past year must have been so much work for you! Those two are so busy with work they can hardly look after their home and children. We have you to thank for taking care of the house and the two kids."
Seeing how well the twins were being raised, it was clear just how much effort she had put into caring for them.
One half of the young couple would be away on assignment for months at a time, not even coming home.
The other was incredibly busy with work.
Sometimes they’d even be away on business trips for months.
If it weren’t for her, who knows what would have become of the two children.
Besides, even if they hired a nanny, no one else would be as attentive and caring as their own grandmother.
Upon hearing this, Mrs. Fu immediately replied, "It’s no trouble at all. The children are very well-behaved. Besides, their parents are busy with work while I’m just idle at home. Just looking after two kids isn’t tiring."
As they chatted, Gao Lan could only sit to the side and listen, completely unable to get a word in.
Still, she was incredibly envious of her sister-in-law. ’She’s just so capable!’
’If I were as accomplished as Fu Mingxue, I wouldn’t have to tread so carefully in this family.’
Just as their conversation was getting lively, Aunt Li came over.
"Dinner is ready!"
Mr. Qin stood up at once. "Come on, let’s eat."
The family moved over to the dining table.
There were quite a few people, but thankfully, the table was large enough.
The four children all sat together.
Mrs. Fu sat beside the twins, as she needed to serve them their food.
Aunt Li served the twins two small bowls of rice.
"Come now, Mingxue. You and your mother should have a drink, too." Mr. Qin picked up the bottle and poured some wine for Mrs. Fu and Fu Mingxue.
Fu Mingxue quickly stood up. "Dad, let me do it—"
"No need, I’ve got it," Mr. Qin said, finishing the pour.
Then he met Old Master Qin’s eager, hopeful gaze.
"Not for you. You drink water."
Old Master Qin: ...?
’What an unfilial son!’
Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
The huge spread of dishes had all been prepared by Mrs. Qin and Aunt Li together.
The two of them had been busy all afternoon!
After dinner, Mrs. Fu, Fu Mingxue, and the children stayed for a little while longer.
But they didn’t stay too long.
After all, the children were too young to be out late.
When it was time to leave, Qin Wenze drove them home.
Fu Mingxue didn’t refuse his offer.
It wasn’t a long drive anyway, and it would be much faster by car.
When they arrived at her front door, Fu Mingxue thanked him. "Thank you, Wenze."
"We’re family, no need for thanks! Just be safe tonight."
Fu Mingxue: ...?
’Is he saying someone’s going to break in tonight?’
"Okay."
After she and the two children got out of the car, Qin Wenze drove off.
Mrs. Fu opened the gate, and the family went into the yard.
Before they could even get inside the house, Qin Keke piped up in her sweet, childish voice, "Mama, dolly!"
Fu Mingxue was surprised the little one had actually remembered. "Just a moment, Mommy will go get them for you."
