Reborn in the 80s and Remarrying an Officer, Let the Ungrateful Cry!
Chapter 322: Does This Younger Brother Have a Problem With Him?
After Qin Wenhao finished writing, he folded the slip of paper. "Honey, I’ll make this for you tomorrow."
He was really getting into learning how to cook now.
Fu Mingxue: ...?
Hearing this, Mrs. Qin couldn’t help but discreetly roll her eyes.
’And here she was, his mother—and he’d never once made a special meal just for her!’
Qin Wenhao couldn’t care less what anyone else thought.
All he cared about was doting on his wife.
"Honey, you must be tired from the train ride these past few days. Go upstairs and take a nap. I’ll go home and clean up a bit, then we can stay there tonight."
Hearing he was going home to clean, Fu Mingxue immediately said, "Then I’ll go with you! It’ll be faster with two people."
How could Qin Wenhao possibly let his wife suffer through that?
"No, don’t worry about it. I work fast on my own. You sleep here for a while, and you can come over after you wake up. It’s all dusty over there right now, and the sun is scorching. I can’t have you overheating."
Mrs. Qin also chimed in, "Mingxue, don’t you worry. I’ll have Wenzhe go with him. You just go upstairs and rest."
The moment Qin Wenhao heard Qin Wenze’s name, his brow furrowed almost imperceptibly, and he immediately refused. "No need. I can handle it by myself."
No matter how dense Qin Wenze was, he could still sense his younger brother’s strong dissatisfaction with him this time. ’Is it because I got married?’
"Let’s go together. Besides, I need to talk to you about something."
Qin Wenhao’s brow furrowed slightly again.
This time, however, he didn’t refuse out loud.
Fu Mingxue glanced at him, then at Qin Wenze.
"In that case, I’ll go upstairs to rest. Oh, right, Qin Wenhao, give Mom the bag of things you brought. It wouldn’t be good if they spoil from being cooped up for too long, especially in this heat."
Qin Wenhao nodded. "Okay, you go on upstairs."
Fu Mingxue said no more. After saying goodbye to Mrs. Qin and the others, she went upstairs.
Qin Wenhao then pointed to the package and said to his mother, "My mother-in-law packed that yesterday. You should open it and take a look."
Then he turned his head. "You just got your marriage license today, so you don’t need to come help me clean. My place is mostly clean anyway, and it’ll only take a moment. It doesn’t need two people. You go handle your own business."
He said that last sentence with emphasis.
Seeing that his brother truly didn’t want him to come along, Qin Wenze could only nod.
"Alright then."
Qin Wenhao didn’t look at him again and went straight upstairs.
When he entered the room, he grabbed the keys and a suitcase. "Honey, I’m taking this suitcase home. I’ll come back to get you in a bit."
"You don’t have to get me. I’ll head over at three." Fu Mingxue figured they would probably still have dinner here.
After all, Qin Wenze had just gotten his marriage license today, which was a joyous occasion.
"Alright then." Qin Wenhao didn’t press the issue.
’Anyway, he could just come straight back after he finished cleaning.’
Once he left, Fu Mingxue lay down on the bed. Then she took out some books from her space and started to read.
After all, she wasn’t in the habit of taking afternoon naps.
’With this free time, she might as well get some reading done!’
The books she took out this time were college textbooks. After all, even some last-minute cramming was better than nothing.
Qin Wenhao rode his bicycle to the courtyard house.
When he opened the main gate, he saw the courtyard was very clean, not at all looking like a place that had been unoccupied for a long time.
Stepping into the main hall, he found it was also quite clean.
’Clearly, his mother must have been coming over to clean from time to time.’
However, the rooms, including the kitchen, were still a bit dusty. He spent two hours cleaning everything from top to bottom.
He even washed all the bedsheets and hung them out to dry.
The midday summer sun was scorching, and before long, the sleeping mat and bedsheets were already dry.
Just then, a knock came from the door.
