Reborn in the 80s and Remarrying an Officer, Let the Ungrateful Cry!
Chapter 314: She Has Sinned Again
Just as she was about to enter the house, Fu Mingxue seemed to guess her mother’s thoughts. "Mom, it’s so hot. Don’t worry about preparing any food. We can just buy something to eat on the train."
Mrs. Fu didn’t listen to her.
Even though it was hot, she could still prepare a little less food.
Fu Mingxue saw the two children playing.
She walked over. "Sweeties, look at this!"
She pretended to take them out of her bag, but in reality, she pulled two tin frogs out of her space.
These weren’t something she had bought, but rather a reward from a system mission.
She had just been too busy lately and hadn’t had a chance to take them out.
The tin frogs looked similar to the ones sold in stores, but they were a whole size bigger.
Their size made them even more appealing to children.
Sure enough, as soon as the twins saw the tin frogs in her hand, their attention shifted completely.
They immediately trotted over to Fu Mingxue.
At nineteen months old, they were already walking quite steadily.
They reached out their hands to grab them.
But Fu Mingxue, beaming, simply raised her hand higher, keeping the toys out of reach.
"You want these, right? Then solve ten math problems. Whoever gets one right first gets a frog."
The twins: ...?
"What’s two plus eighteen? Quick-fire round starts now—"
Mrs. Fu, who was just going inside to get something, heard this, and the corner of her mouth twitched.
’That daughter of hers was being absolutely deranged again.’
’Last time, the problems were only within ten. Now she’s already going beyond that.’
’They aren’t even two years old yet—this is practically child abuse!’
’It was definitely the right decision not to have the children go back to Beijing with her.’
’Even when she was so busy before, she still managed to find time in the mornings to torment the children.’
’Now that she’s free, won’t she dedicate herself to tormenting them even more?’
"Twenty." Qin Hao was faster.
His eyes never left the tin frog.
The look in his eyes was obvious—he wanted it.
Qin Keke’s face fell.
"What’s twelve plus seven?"
"Nineteen."
"What’s nineteen plus one?"
"Twenty."
...
When it came to arithmetic, Qin Keke was no match for her brother.
For numbers up to twenty, she couldn’t count on her fingers—she didn’t have enough of them.
Seeing that she hadn’t answered a single question, her little face immediately crumpled in grievance.
Her eyes started to turn red.
Mrs. Fu’s heart ached for her.
"This is for you, Sister." Qin Hao, having won and successfully gotten the toy, handed his prize over to his sister.
Little Keke happily reached out to take it, but Fu Mingxue stopped her. "While it’s praiseworthy that your brother cares so much for his sister, you still have to answer the questions yourself, you know!"
Hearing this, Mrs. Fu couldn’t help but roll her eyes.
’If I hadn’t promised not to interfere with the children’s education, I would’ve snatched that blasted toy away ages ago.’
’The brother is so sweet to his sister. They’re such a wonderful pair—what on earth is she trying to do?’
Smiling, Fu Mingxue asked her little girl.
"Keke, do you want to win this tin toy all by yourself?"
Qin Keke’s gaze was firm. "Yes."
"Alright then, let’s try some easier ones. What’s one plus nine? Get five right, and I’ll give it to you."
’Even at this young age, she could tell—her son would probably be a top student, but her daughter would most likely be more average.’
’But the little girl seemed to have a good sense of music.’
’She really loved the harmonica I gave her last time.’
The little girl counted and counted on her fingers.
Just as Mrs. Fu was on the verge of helping her answer, she finally worked it out.
"Mama, ten, ten—"
"That’s wonderful!"
"What about one plus two?"
"—Three."
She was faster at counting on her fingers this time.
The five simple questions were over in a flash.
Fu Mingxue immediately praised the little girl, then handed over her prize.
