"Then I’ll go pick you up!"

The moment Qin Wenhao said that, Fu Mingxue immediately shot him down. "You don’t have to. I’ll get back on my own."

’Are you kidding? If he came to pick me up, how would I get all my stuff out?’

Qin Wenhao: ...?

"I don’t know when I’ll be back. I might get off work early, or I might be late. So you don’t need to come get me. Besides, my bike is really fast—it’s automatic—so I’ll be home in no time."

"Aren’t you still injured? You should just focus on recovering. Next time—"

Fu Mingxue couldn’t bring herself to finish the sentence.

’After the way he acted last night... how could he possibly still be injured?’

Just then, Qin Wenhao added in a low, teasing voice, "Honey, didn’t you already confirm how I was doing last night? More than once, even."

Fu Mingxue nearly choked on her own spit when she heard that.

Shock didn’t even begin to describe the look on her face.

’Does this guy even know what he’s saying?’

’In broad daylight... h-how could he say something like that?’

’Thank goodness the kids are still asleep and not in here.’

She shot him a fierce glare. "Shut up. You’re not picking me up."

Then, her face burning, she went to wash up.

What she didn’t see was the wide grin spreading across Qin Wenhao’s face. He never expected his wife to be this shy.

’They were a real married couple, after all. What was there they hadn’t seen of each other? To think she’d blush over something like that.’

Just then, a voice calling for "Grandma" came from his mother-in-law’s room. The kids were obviously awake.

So he went to his mother-in-law’s room to get the children dressed.

After Fu Mingxue finished washing up, she went to check on the kids as well.

But Qin Wenhao was quicker. He was unbelievably fast at dressing the two kids.

One in each hand.

Fu Mingxue saw the cowlicks sticking up on both kids’ heads and thought they were absolutely adorable.

"Oh, my little treasures are awake! Come on, give Mommy a kiss—"

Then came the buzzkill. "They haven’t washed their faces."

Fu Mingxue: ...?

’So what if the kids haven’t washed their faces?’

"They’re still sweet, washed or not."

"They have sleep in their eyes," Qin Wenhao added nonchalantly. "And they drool when they sleep."

Fu Mingxue: ? ...’Seriously? Why did he have to be so vicious?’

The twins: ...?

Any last trace of sleepiness the brother and sister duo had vanished completely.

They looked up at the same time in disbelief.

"Daddy, no drool—" the little girl protested.

"I don’t drool," the little boy added, just as unhappy.

’Did Daddy think he and his sister couldn’t understand?’

’We’re super smart!’

Qin Wenhao remained perfectly calm. "Then go wash your faces and rinse your mouths."

’All this talk about kisses so early in the morning... she hadn’t even kissed him yet.’

With that, he led the two children into the courtyard and poured some warm water for them to wash their faces.

To top it off, Qin Wenhao even tied his little girl’s hair into two high pigtails.

Seeing this, Fu Mingxue couldn’t help but give him a thumbs-up. "You’re surprisingly good at that!"

"I learned from Mom," Qin Wenhao said, also thinking he’d done a pretty good job.

’Tying one girl’s hair, tying two girls’ hair... what’s the difference? They could have another daughter.’

As this idea took root in Qin Wenhao’s mind, he completely forgot what he had told Fu Mingxue when they first got married—that they probably wouldn’t have any more children.

Fu Mingxue went to serve breakfast.

The family of four ate together.

After they finished breakfast, a car horn honked outside.

Qin Wenhao opened the door and saw someone get out of a car. "Hello, I’m here to pick up Group Leader Fu and take her to the factory."
