Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 258: Genetic Mutation
Jacob already knew in detail what he had to do to beat this young woman. But he lingered a little longer; after all, there was no rush to victory.
He stared at her through his glass-like eyeballs, watching her pant rather heavily as she stood before him. She was neither injured nor maimed. She had merely just finished enduring the gruesome effects of her body slamming against the earth repeatedly, being dropped from obscene heights.
“You’re a very cocky man. In the end, you all are the same. You believe you are better than women simply because you possess different genitalia.” She roared across the canyon that had been created as a result of her body repeatedly hitting the ground.
“I’m just enjoying myself. There’s no reason to think it more than it is. I have no interest in gender wars,” Jacob responded casually, his voice carrying easily over the large space that now existed between them.
Leena’s body began to glow profusely. It was clear that this young woman was flying into a rage. The blades connected to her hair began to glow in a bright golden hue. Her body started to expand, muscles contracting and getting bigger, legs firmly planted against the ground.
Her feet had formed small holes in the ground as a result of the pressure that her body was currently generating.
She was evolving!
…
The nuclear radiation that Leena was exposed to as a child was the result of an experiment that the men in her world were conducting.
This so-called experiment had proved many a time to be a failure when merged together with the XY chromosomes present in the DNA of males, and as such, every hypothesis was accurate, but in actual practice, failed woefully.
Until she came along…
She was the first woman to prove that the radiation only worked on the gender that possessed XX chromosomes. Leena was only 12 years old when she was accidentally exposed to it during an experiment.
She had thought that she was dead, but she was taken by the government for more experiments to be conducted on her. The nuclear exposure was supposed to ensure that men remained as the dominant gender and enforced their cruel rule on the women even further. Over time, many men were killed as a result of this exposure.
With the appearance of Leena, the only human that had survived after the exposure, she piqued the interest of the entire government and, as such, was immediately taken into custody.
Unfortunately for the rest of the female population, they remained oblivious to this discovery. The operation was immediately packed up after what had happened to Leena.
The experiments had side effects on her body, both positive and negative. As for the negative side, her body composition was altered completely; her skin had become a puddle of purple goo.
The positives presented far outweighed the negatives, though. She no longer had to rely on food for survival. She couldn’t get injured or suffer broken bones. She became significantly stronger and possessed attributes that no human in her world had ever heard of, such as increased vision, flight, enhanced strength, and enhanced reflexes.
And as a result of her body composition, with enough mastery and emotional control, she would be able to enter an evolutionary process that could increase her strength near-infinitely.
Leena was the groundbreaking discovery that led to the emergence of magic in her world, which would eventually lead to her having these blades attached to the ends of her pigtails.
She eventually escaped the facility that she was confined within with insulting ease, killing a few men on her way out.
On getting out of the facility, she was almost immediately approached by an unfathomable being, offering her the chance at even greater power if she underwent a series of trials. The catch was that she could use this gained power to completely flip the dynamic in Stromanovia.
“You men always avoid the obvious. Gender wars are inevitable. Women are the superior gender. I am proof of it.” She barked once again, her body glowing rather brightly as her body was starting to change.
This was the evolutionary process. She had reached her emotional ceiling, and in turn, her body was also beginning to adjust to the high scales of the battle.
“I am proof that women were meant to rule every world. This is a rule I will enforce.”
“Slow down, lady. You are starting to get out of hand.” Jacob frowned. Even though he was not really interested in wars between men and women, the young woman was starting to sound more like a villain than someone who had set out to save her world.
The only explanation would be that her brain was also altered by the nuclear radiation that she was exposed to as a child.
This person only wanted power and wanted women by her side when she took all the power.
“Out of hand? I’m very much in control. You’re the only one that will be out of hands when I’m done with you.”
With that, Leena rushed across the canyon without her feet even touching the ground. She swung a blade upwards, its tip aimed at Jacob’s jaw, the blade screaming through the air as it flew upwards rather violently.
With a simple backflip, Jacob was able to evade the strike, but just as he stuck the landing, he crossed his hands together as a hard punch came crashing into his forearms.
The impact was loud and powerful, sending the young man flying a few meters away, but he never landed on his back. His feet made a hole in the ground that dragged along for about 4 meters.
There was something about this young woman that was suddenly strange. Her strength had multiplied about ten thousandfold, and it was not just her strength; every single attribute had increased exponentially.
Jacob simply smiled as he came to a halt, his hands unaffected by her hit.
“That was a good first hit. It will be your last.”
He had just managed to get his words across when he suddenly saw Leena again. Her size had increased, and she was aiming her blades at him again. This time around, she held them by their handles, crossing them as she struck at him.
But Jacob had already adjusted to her speed. He evaded the attack with ease and countered with an upward spinning kick, but Leena dodged as well.
The back and forth continued, each attack sending waves through the air that destroyed the ground around them rather significantly. Leena had just kept increasing significantly, but Jacob was already at an infinite level, and as such, he could keep up rather easily.
….
Elyssara frowned as she watched the battle. She wasn’t pleased with the fact that Jacob had not yet defeated this young woman and wanted it to be over with already.
Elyssara was not one of the goddesses that enjoyed the thrill of battle. She merely enjoyed watching the strong devour the weak, which was why she was upset.
“Kill her already, Jacob. I can’t wait any longer.” There was still a hint of anticipation in her eyes as she muttered to herself.
…
The battle had gone on for as long as Jacob considered enough. Now it was time to try out his final move, one with a 99.97% chance of working. He had already worked out the calculations in his head, and it was time to execute his idea.
Leena was coming in with a rather ludicrous swing of her blade, which hummed bloodthirstily through the air.
Jacob’s will was beyond infinite, meaning no matter how much Leena evolved, she would never be able to transcend the power of his will.
With his mind once again, he paused her in the air. She stayed there, floating motionless in the air as her expression changed from anger, to worry, and eventually to fear, while Jacob watched her with an expressionless look on his face.
He stretched forth his arm, just for the theatrics.
“This is it. He’s finally gonna do it!” Elyssara exclaimed.
He instantly used his decay affinity, starting a sequence that broke down the nuclear-affected parts of her DNA that were tied to her evolution.
Leena could immediately feel like her genetic mutation was changing. Sweat had begun to bead on her forehead, her eyes swiveling in fear from left to right, and then back to the left.
Her genetic makeup was breaking down in real time!
She watched as her hand suddenly developed hooves, her ears grew longer, and fur began to shoot out of her skin.
Her hind legs bent backward, and horns started sprouting from the middle of her forehead. Udders shot out of her abdomen.
The mutation was not painful in any way, but it was uncomfortable.
…
In less than 10 seconds, a sound tore through the entire arena, causing a rupture of laughter from the imperceptible crowd of people.
“Meeeeeeehh!!”
In Leena’s place stood a purple goat…
