Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities
Chapter 206: Room 315
The moment Jacob stepped through the entrance of the Academy Hostel building, he was greeted by a spacious reception hall, it was exactly everything he had expected. This school had turned out to be more modern looking than he had expected.
But it was only normal, seeing as the elven and dwarven race were leagues ahead of the rest, technologically.
The floor was covered in smooth, polished marble that gleamed beneath the crystal lamps hanging from the ceiling.
Several long couches were arranged along the walls, providing places for students to sit and converse, while tall ornamental plants stood within polished stone planters at regular intervals.
The corridors were broad and impeccably clean, with large windows positioned along the outer walls. Sunlight filtered through them, filling the interior with a soft radiance and illuminating the intricate patterns carved into the walls.
But Jacob wasn’t worried about all these, the academy facility was certainly impressive, but he wasn’t easily impressed. Miya led him to a grand staircase which was located at the end of the corridor, its steps were constructed of the same marble as the floor and an elegant silver railing ran along both sides.
She immediately gestured to walk upstairs without confirmation from him, he followed along instinctively. Not a single word had been shared between them throughout the walk, she had been silent as a bat. Jacob tried to spark conversation many times but he came to accept that this was simply her job description. Show the students to their rooms and keep quiet about it.
Harsh but the truth. They ascended regardless.
The second floor was nearly identical to the first, though the number of students was noticeably smaller. The corridors here were narrower, and the rooms appeared to have been designed with greater privacy in mind.
They eventually reached the section assigned to the newest students, a small plaque had been fixed to the wall at the beginning of the corridor.
FIRST YEAR RESIDENCE.
Miya walked beneath it, Jacob followed, each room had a number affixed to the top of the door. They walked, door after door. Only Jacob could hear the noise that came from within each one.
But he would dare not speak of it.
’This early and they’re already doing that?’ His face crumpled as the lewd sounds filtered through his ears. ’Enhanced hearing is a curse and a blessing.’
He sighed as Miya finally came to a stop, the woman turned her body to face a particular door, atop the door was a number: 315.
"Here’s your room." These were first words she had said all morning. Her voice had a low crack in it and she did not smile at all.
"Thank you very much..." Jacob started to say, but before he was done with what he was about to say, she had already begun walking off, but not after handing him the key.
’Rude.’ He mused inwardly and made a face at her while he inserted the key into the keyhole, and turned it.
The door opened and Jacob feasted his eyes on the small, but rather spacious construction.
The room was modest, but there was an undeniable elegance to its simplicity.
A faint fragrance of sandalwood lingered in the air, mixing with the clean scent of fresh linen. The walls were painted a white, with a hint of brown, their smooth surfaces completely free of cracks or imperfections. A large window occupied most of the far wall, allowing sunlight to spill across the room and illuminate the polished wooden floor.
Overall, this school looked as though it were built yesterday. Jacob took in the scents and began to inspect the entire place, from the mattress, to the wardrobe, to the restroom.
Everything was in impeccable condition. ’Mountain elite indeed.’ He mused, a faint smile playing on his lips.
He looked out of the polished glass window. He could see the training yard directly from here, but no one had graced it yet. Today was resumption day, so no training would be done today, not at least until school began properly.
He took a deep breath and walked over to the small, wooden bedframe, specifically built to contain not more than one person. He didn’t particularly like that. Jacob was a free sleeper, when he slept, he didn’t wish to be constrained to a particular space, he needed to feel as free as he did when he was awake. Therefore this small bed would not suffice.
But no matter, he noticed that he bed had no obstruction on the outer part, and with a single thought, the small bed more than doubled in size. Luckily, there was enough space in the room for him to add extra bed space.
He was on track to turning his room into a mini-haven, but everything would happen in time, he would not add more than he absolutely needed.
There was about three hours till the general assembly, where students would be briefed.
Jacob had noticed it the moment he walked in, the spiritual energy in the air.
The academy had constructed the entire hostel upon a spiritual vein, allowing traces of spiritual energy(Qi) to seep naturally into every room. It was not particularly dense compared to the academy’s dedicated cultivation chambers, but it was more than sufficient to make cultivation here considerably easier than in the outside world.
It wasn’t something that directly affected him, or not. So he mostly ignored it and focused on other things. He noticed a piece of paper laying on a stable that was fastened to the white and brown wall opposite his bed.
He got up and walked over to the table, taking his time, he picked up the piece of paper and opened it.
_ _ _
Picked this room specifically for the view, you knew I was going to do it anyways, haha.
Enjoy your stay at the academy, make the most of it, and make us proud.
Rooting for you, boy.

He didn’t even need to know who wrote the letter, just by reading it, the handwriting, the tone. It all screamed Alaric Ironfell.
Jacob grinned, the old man was stubborn, and did whatever he wanted, he had expected this.
