Chapter 5562: Chapter 5562: Venting Anger

Li Tianhao froze harshly, a glint of disbelief flashing in his eyes. His eldest son, who never made a peep no matter how much he was beaten, had actually...

His eyes suddenly darkened. "Limit your interaction with your uncle," he said grimly, "and don’t believe a word he says. You are my son; why would I harm you?"

Li Tianhao had never really bothered with his eldest son, nor did he understand anything about Li Jinnian—even his occupation or the kinds of difficulties he frequently faced were unknown to him.

In his eyes, Li Jinnian was an inconsequential being who neither hindered him nor posed any threat.

No son dared to defy his father, not to mention that he, as a father, held real power.

But the inconceivable happened, suddenly...

"No, you have harmed me." Li Jinnian’s icy voice, like a sword just drawn from an abyssal chill, cleaved with a bone-chilling sharpness straight toward Li Tianhao’s forehead.

The unimaginable occurrence silenced all noise from Li Tianhao.

His face fiercely twitched, leaving this pretentious father in extreme disarray. "I see that you’ve gone mad just like your uncle!"

"Since you don’t want to return to the Li family, then get out now! Get out!" It seemed this move was a stalemate; he needed to think of another strategy.

Li Ronghuan and Madam Li’s battle pleased him, yet he hoped neither would win in their disputes.

The Li family, he yearned for it!

Realizing he couldn’t use Li Jinnian to his advantage, Li Tianhao abandoned the plan, not even willing to offer him a glass of water, and directly pushed him out, demanding he stay as far away as possible.

Li Jinnian actually left, having intended to leave anyway. If not now, then when?

"You’re not just leaving; it’s me sending you off! Go, your uncle will escort you!" Li Ronghuan couldn’t stand to see Li Jinnian mistreated and declared that if anyone should leave, it should be Li Tianhao!

Pulling on Li Jinnian, they left joyously.

Escaping the Li family and facing the biting wind that chilled to the bone outside, Li Ronghuan took a deep breath, feeling alive once again.

Catching his breath, he glanced at his nephew Li Jinnian to find him still indifferent and unaffected, which amused him. "You rascal, I underestimated you. I thought you were simple-minded, but you’ve got plans of your own."

"A man of few words, but when you speak, boy, it’s sharp—you even managed to stupefy your father! Now, I can rest easy!"

Li Ronghuan was truly relieved—so much so that he could stir up a storm in the Li family without any concerns!

Facing his protective uncle, Li Jinnian said, "Uncle, I’m only worried they might harm my sister. The rest doesn’t concern me."

"I know you’re not interested in the Li family," Li Ronghuan nodded, signaling Li Jinnian to continue walking. "I know how to deal with these people in the Li family, and I enjoy these battle-filled days."

"Don’t worry about me," he reassured, "just stay with Old Man Xia. Where’s the car parked? I won’t see you out; I have guests to entertain soon!"

He firmly pushed Li Jinnian away, absolutely unwilling to let him stay in the Li family.

A filthy place, unfit to dirty his nephew’s eyes.

An hour after returning to the Li family, Li Jinnian drove back to Dan Gui Garden.
