Although their cooperation seemed to be perfect, they seemed to have underestimated Ling Mengyao’s power. She lowered her eyes, and a light smile suddenly appeared on the corner of her mouth.

The next second, a strong aura surrounded her, causing both the starlight chains and the arrow to break into fragments.

At the same time, Shen Qingci’s dagger stopped in less than an inch from Ling Mengyao’s back, and no matter how much force he used, it could not advance any further.

Ling Mengyao opened her eyes again. She turned around and reached out her hand, gently pinching the tip of Shen Qingci’s dagger. "Excellent teamwork," she gently murmured under her breath.

"It’s a pity, though... the gap in strength isn’t something that could be overcome with just perfect coordination," she continued. Then, with just a little strength, she threw Shen Qingci over to the side. Shen Qingci quickly rushed forward to catch her brother so that he wouldn’t crash to the ground.

"Brother, are you okay?" Shen Qingyi asked with concern on her face as she wanted to take out a healing potion. But Shen Qingci gently shook his head as he looked toward Ling Mengyao, his fist clenched.

In the next moment, Ling Mengyao lightly snapped her fingers, and several pale-purple specks of light appeared beside her again. Subsequently, each of them expanded into the size of a soccer ball before it slammed down toward the empty space.

BOOM—!!

Seeing this, Jiang Zihan raised both hands and frantically transferred all the magical energy he had toward the domain. Blood went down from the corner of his mouth, but he did not stop.

Streams of starlight converged from every corner of the domain, trying their best to fix the spatial rift that was constantly appearing, but it was useless, and the cracks continued to spread across the empty space.

CRACK—

Finally, a large crack appeared above them, and in the next second, the stars that were filling the space scattered into countless glittering fragments that slowly began to disappear.

In the next moment, everyone’s vision blurred. When they were able to see clearly again, they were shocked to find out that they were already back to their original training field. Jiang Zihan was kneeling on one knee, breathing heavily, his face slightly pale. Mo Shiyan quickly rushed forward and placed a hand behind his back, transferring his magical energy to him.

"Shiyan, stop..." Jiang Zihan said with a weak voice, but Mo Shiyan didn’t listen to him. He increased the magical energy he was sending to Jiang Zihan, and not long after, his face also began to turn pale.

During this time, Jiang Zihan instinctively glanced down at the timer on the floor. There’s still three minutes and fourty-five seconds left.

"This domain has high potential," Ling Mengyao complimented as she reached out and held a piece of shattered space fragment that was falling down in her hand, taking a look at it.

"How beautiful..." she muttered as it slowly dissolved in her hand. Then she glanced toward Jiang Zihan, approving of his strength. "If your mastery of the Laws of Space were a little more refined, I might not be able to break free from it so easily."

"Laws of Space...?" Jiang Zihan did not understand what she meant, but he had guessed that she might be talking about his control of space.

Ling Mengyao did not plan on explaining either. Things are usually easier to understand if one could experience it themselves. A light smile appeared on the corner of his mouth as she said gently, "Well then... the warm-up is over."

The butterfly wings behind her unfurled again as the aura surrounding her suddenly became stronger than before. Magical energy ran throughout her body, making it hard for them to hold and caused all four of them to be forced a few steps backward before they could stand still.

"Now... let us begin the actual game~" Ling Mengyao said lightly, though her tone sounded playful. Her eyes slowly turned back to the color of pale-violet, just like what they had seen before.

In the next second, Ling Mengyao disappeared in mid-air. Beneath Shen Qingci’s feet, there was a complicated pattern that suddenly emerged, which a barrier surrounded him, trapping him in that area. He frowned a little as magical energy gathered in his fist, and he slammed it on the barrier.

There was a loud sound, but it did not cause even a single crack on the barrier. While his attention was attracted by the barrier around him, Ling Mengyao immediately flew out of the spatial rift on top of him. She reached a hand out, and magical energy began to gather above her palm.

Jiang Zihan was the first one to notice that. His eyes widened, and he immediately yelled, "Shen Qingci, careful! She’s right above you!"

However, it was already too late. A beam of pale-purple light poured down from mid-air and struck directly at Shen Qingci.

"Brother!!!" Shen Qingyi screamed as she charged toward her brother. Jiang Zihan thought that it was too dangerous and wanted to stop her but her speed was way too fast.

Shen Qingyi seemed to have used all her power as she materialized the Ice Crystal Longbow in her right hand, while an arrow appeared in her other hand. She pulled the bowstring and shot it toward Ling Mengyao.

She knew that with just a D-Rank magical artifact wouldn’t be enough to injure Ling Mengyao, but as long as it’s able to stop her action for a second, that would be enough.

She activated the Teleportation Talisman and successfully teleported into the barrier. In the next second, a D-Rank magical artifact shield appeared above her, blocking the beam. The strong impact had caused her to go down onto one knee, but she still forced herself to stand in front of her brother and protect him, just as he had always done in the past.

...Just as he always had done.
