Chapter 686: Fudge and vampire

Chapter 686: Fudge and vampire

Hestu and Viperion looked at the Vampires around them and immediately knew that they were no match. They couldn’t even sense them coming at all.

They shot a look at each other. If worse comes to worst, then they would gladly throw themselves to the Vampires so that the other civilians could escape away unharmed.

It didn’t matter if they got killed in the process, as long as they preserved the believers of the Iron Maiden, then they would have accomplished all that was needed to be done.

But just as they were about to move, they suddenly felt a tug on their shadows.

Fudge jumped up out of the ground, landing on the grass after a couple of bounces.

“Hey guys, wanna play~”

The little ninja slime jumped into Hestu’s head, as if he didn’t even notice the tense atmosphere around them.

“Great slime…,” Hestu muttered. “The vampires…”

“Vampires?” Fudge questioned, finally turning around to see the Vampires looking at him with a confused expression.

“A talking slime?” a Purist Vampire asked. “I don’t recognize your face. How did you get here from the Monster Continent?”

Fudge tilted his head, with a literal question mark forming atop his slime body. “Huh? I don’t know what you guys are talking about.”

“Are you not from our homeland? Weird. A monster of your intelligence is unnatural in this continent.”

The Vampires looked at Fudge with a lot more affection than they did the humans. After all, in their continent, slimes like Fudge were treated as cute little pets to be kept like dogs.

“You. What is your name?”

“Fudge!” Fudge replied, jumping cutely on the grass. “And I will helm the Iron Maiden into becoming the greatest religion in the whole world!”

The Vampires were shocked upon learning that the religion that they’d been trying to get was something that a slime created!

They couldn’t believe it. After all, the techniques and methods that the Iron Maiden religion used to get believers was something that even the Purist Vampires admired.

“You… you founded the Iron Maiden religion?”

Fudge shrugged. “Sure!”

The Purist Vampires then stared at Fudge, offering them the same offer they did the others.

“Fudge… we shall give you a once in a lifetime opportunity, one that will change your life. Join us Vampires in—”

“VAMPIRES?! You guys are Vampires?! Like Edward?!”

The Purist Vampire nodded. “I don’t know who that is, but yes, we are vampires. We, the Purist Vampires invite you to help us spread our beliefs—”

And before he could even finish his sentence, Fudge jumped into his arms.

“Sure! I’ll join ya!” Fudge said.

The Purist Vampires were frozen for a second, not expecting the slime to agree so fast. It didn’t even look like he even thought it over at all, and purely went on an impulsive decision.

“You’ll join us?”

Fudge nodded. “Yup! Vampires are cool. They’re just below that of Ninjas.”

No one knew what Fudge was talking about, but the Purist Vampires didn’t give it a second thought. They were just overjoyed that they finally found someone who was in line with their thinking.

“Fudge, as leader of this Iron Maiden religion, you should gather them all up in a circle,” the Purist Vampire commanded.

“Okay!” Fudge replied.

And so, Fudge began guiding the clueless citizens into a cluster. And since most of the believers of the Iron Maiden knew Fudge’s identity, they obediently followed his instructions.

Now that they were neatly gathered, the Vampires thought that it would be a lot easier for them to harvest their blood.

“Fudge, start prepping for the blood sacrifice,” the Purist Vampire demanded.

And like an obedient little puppy, Fudge nodded and did as the Vampire told him to do.

“Ah! That hurts!” one of the Purist Vampire said, feeling a pricking pain near his arm.

He looked down and saw that Fudge had stuck a thin tube in his arm that connected his vein to the unconscious human man on the floor. His blood began to flow through the tube and into the human man, giving a bit of color to his bloodless face.

“What are you doing?!” the Purist Vampire shouted.

Fudge tilted his head again. “You said that I should start the blood sacrifice? You want to donate your blood to this guy right?”

The Vampire’s head twitched. “That’s not what I meant! Urgh. Whatever. I guess you’re not as smart as I thought. Just make sure that these humans feel pain worse than death. Make them experience hell.

In the Vampire’s mind, they’d be able to much more easily brainwash the humans to become voluntary blood banks if their psyches were broken down.

“Make them experience hell. Roger that, sir!” Fudge replied.

The Purist Vampire nodded satisfactorily, sure that there was no way that Fudge would be able to mess this up.

Just then, a large shadow formed underneath Fudge’s feet and began to envelop the human civilians one by one.

And using his skill, he began teleporting them out of Metropolis.

“WHAT ARE YOU DOING?! Why are you letting them go?!”

Fudge tilted his head again. “You said to make them experience hell. I think that letting them eat Miss Sheina’s cooking is hellish enough,” Fudge replied, shuddering at the thought.

Seeing this, the rest of the hostages looked at Fudge with a smile on their faces. They thought that Fudge must have been faking being obedient to the Vampires this whole time! They were worried for a second after they heard him accept their offer, but it seemed that this was all part of his plan.

But as for what was truly inside Fudge’s mind, no one knew.

“That’s enough!” the Purist Vampire lashed out. “I’ll have to do it myself! Catch them before they get away!”

The other Vampires immediately turned into shadows as they began to latch onto the civilians. And with their shadows imbued with Aubility Power, Fudge’s shadow was of no use. The civilians were yanked back into the Vampire’s custody.

“Imprison that slime,” said the Vampire.

And suddenly, Fudge froze in place as a shadow wrapped itself around his slimy body, preventing him from moving anywhere.

“Start the blood sacrifice. I want to harvest as much blood from these humans as possible. I don’t want you to stop right until they’re about to die!” commanded the Purist Vampire.

The five other Vampires took a human in each hand. And one by one, they sank their fangs onto their necks, draining them of their blood.

The human civilians grunted in pain as they felt their blood forcefully sucked out of their bodies. Then, they slowly felt themselves lightheaded before their bodies turned limp.

Fudge watched all of this with a shocked look on his face.

“What… What are you doing to them? You’re hurting them! That’s not very ninja-like! Stop!”

The Purist Vampire laughed after hearing Fudge’s obvious shock. “So what? Everything we do is for Gaia! We will do whatever we want to bring her back, even if we have to sacrifice millions of humans to do so.

And in the end, humanity will thank us for our service because we will have been able to restore the strength of the world!”
