Chapter 1388: His swordstyle

Michael slowly opened his eyes. And soon the hue of prismatic lights painted the entire island into a myriad of different colors.

His eyes widened with surprise, shock, and a little bit of apprehension.

Standing above him were five Unity Creatures, resembling the very same ones that he had fought against during the first island that he had come across.

Except, there was something different about them. Instead of simply being in the vague shape of a human, they now had a lot more features in their body.

Muscles, cheek bones, and even eyeholes. Although, they were still far away from truly looking like a human. Their features were still indistinct from a true face.

But that wasn’t the thing that Michael was apprehensive about. It was what they were wearing.

All five of them wore shining prismatic armors clad with the powers of Unity. It was completely solid, seemingly made out of a real material instead of a collection of all eight mana globules.

Michael gulped. "They’re... they’re weapon Nascent Armors..."

Their armors could only be described as the protective armors that Nascent Spirit cultivators used. It should have been the very personification of their Diva in the real world. Yet for these Unity Creatures, the armors they wore were born from the solidification of Unity itself.

It wasn’t like Michael’s Unity Saber. He only achieved making it look ’solid’ because of his unique power. He paused the beam of Unity to make it look like a sword.

It wasn’t actually made out of a solid material.

But these Unity Creatures wore exactly that. The Unity Armors they wore looked like they were made out of gems with different colors. Like a diamond which was currently reflecting different hues of colors from its surroundings.

Michael had never seen this kind of Unity use before!

Was this what the Ancient Humans have been doing with Unity?

And before he could even utter out his command, his personal AI assistant replied to him.

[Already on it. Analyzing the solid Unity armors...]

Michael was simultaneously excited and horrified as he stared at the five creatures hovering above him, their prismatic colors a complete contrast to the dark skies around them.

He was excited because ChatJK6 would finally have the opportunity to study a new use for Unity! This was like seeing an artifact from the Ancient Era being brought into the present world in all of its glory!

Meaning, if all went well, ChatJK6 would be able to analyze it and allow for Michael to use this technique for himself! The thought excited him greatly. Perhaps, he could finally use Unity aside from shooting a beam with his gun.

However, that was dependent on the fact that he could survive this encounter with the Unity Creatures.

There were five of them right here. All emitting the strength of a real Nascent Spirit cultivator. It wasn’t like the Chimera Magical Monsters back in the Chasm. These Unity Creatures looked like real cultivators, with the same power as them!

Perhaps, the only good thing was that they were all in the 3rd stage of the Nascent Spirit realm. The same as him.

Though, that meant he’d have to defeat all five of them if he wanted to get out of this alive.

"Damn..."

He didn’t think his new swordstyle would get tested so quickly. It was as if the Monolith had only been waiting for him to achieve a breakthrough before giving him a truly stupendous problem for him to solve.

Should I thank them, or curse them?

Michael observed his opponents. At the very least, they weren’t moving yet. They just hovered in the air, looking down at him with their featureless eyes.

This gave him time to assess his situation as well as prepare for the upcoming bloody battle.

Now, Michael had no qualms about using his entire power to overcome this battle.

In his mind, he commanded all of his Mini Drones to go into their active mode. Their transparent bodies departed from his body, before they moved away and further up into the skies until they were looking down on the Unity Creatures.

If they moved even a single bit, he gave his Drones the permission to unleash a barrage of Unity Guns towards them without stopping.

Michael looked down at his chest. A golden glow emanated out of his core as he began to prepare his Nascent Influence.

At the very least, he wanted to make the environment to his advantage. With his Influence, he could make the ground around him to adapt to the situation to help him when the time needed it.

Then, Michael summoned his own Nascent Armor.

Golden nanoparticles emerged out of his body, slowly forming and coalescing into a liquid-like material that coated his entire body into a tight-fitting armor.

It wasn’t long before his entire body was clad with his golden armor. Then, a golden motorcycle helmet manifested from nanoparticles covered his head.

Donning his helmet, his entire vision now became encased with a UI that showed his opponents in a clear vision. He saw every bit of movement. The power emanating from their Unity armors. Everything that ChatJK6 could see from these creatures.

Eventually, Michael decided to take the first move. He was overwhelmed with their numbers. So he had to press his advantage of initiative.

The Mini Drones hovering above in the skies shimmered into reality for a brief second as they unleashed their cannons, firing a continuous barrage of Unity Guns towards four of the Unity Creatures under them.

Unity clashed against Unity, creating a prismatic spark followed by a pure white explosion that covered the entire creatures into an opaque smoke.

It was a distraction.

Michael charged towards the nearest Unity Creature, the one that wasn’t attacked, and wielded his Unity Saber.

He reached with his hands forwards, using the Quantum Step, as he appeared behind the creature. Then, he slashed his sword towards its neck.

The creature turned its head just in time as the Unity Saber was about to decapitate it whole.
