Reborn as the Genius Son of the Richest Family

Chapter 1012 Next Stronghold

Chapter 1012  Next Stronghold

Katarina watched as Michael and the Orcs began to have a discussion about the details of the supposed Stronghold raid.

What’s bugging her was that they were acting like this was already a foregone conclusion. They were going to storm the Stronghold. It’s just a matter of how they were going to do it.

“Hmm… after some thought, it seems that it’s not such a good idea after all,” Michael said.

Katarina nodded furiously to Michael’s words. Yes! It’s truly not a good idea to invade a Stronghold back to back without any break.

“Lord Michael. I assure you that we will be fine,” Narito pleaded.

“It is in the best interest of our organization. The other Shadow Orcs are itching to awaken their Divas,” Sasuki argued.

With those words, Michael began to have second thoughts.

“Lord Michael,” Sheina said, approaching Michael. “I would also like to join in the Stronghold raid.”

Sheina was raring to prove herself as well. She was the only one who didn’t participate in the previous raid, so in order to assert her dominance as his right-hand woman, then she should be able to lead an invasion like this easily.

“Me too! Me too!” Zion enthusiastically shouted. “I want to become a Maugnetic too!”

In all honesty, Michael was starting to feel bad for Zion. The guy had yet to awaken his Diva, even though he had been doing a lot of training and missions to prove it.

The youngest Dragonborn had an SSS-class talent, the same as him and Fudge, so he had no doubt that the problem with Zion was his potential. It was probably due to some psychological problem.

As to what it was, Michael had no idea. Zion joining this second invasion probably wasn’t a good idea given his mortality, but it would probably worsen the psychological barrier if he was left behind.

“Should I just let you guys do it?” he wondered. “Jaku, you coming with?”

The lazy Dragonborn sighed, before nodding. “I don’t know how to cook. And Sheina will be busy with this invasion, so might as well join it.”

Meanwhile, watching from the sidelines, Katarina wanted to shake Michael’s shoulders and make him realize the severity of what he was trying to do!

“Michael… is that such a good idea?”

He looked at her and half-heartedly nodded. “I think so… they can handle it. I’ve already killed the the Platinum-leader from that Stronghold, so they won’t have anything to worry about.”

She stared at him, looking at him up and down.

Then, she noticed something from his stature.

He was glowing. Not in the sense of a real light coming from his body, but the subtle incandescence coming from a heart fully saturated with GodForge pieces.

He’s in the 9th stage!

She always knew there was something… different about him. There was this quality about him that made him look more transcendent than his peers.

At first, she thought it was his ability to wield Unity. But now she realized that it’s also because of his tremendous talent!

Already at the peak of the Body Formation realm when he was that young… that was even faster than her own record!

Perhaps… he wasn’t crazy at all for wanting to invade another Stronghold. Perhaps it was because of this hunger inside him that allowed him to advance to the 9th stage much faster than the others.

It would only be a hindrance to his cultivation if she stopped him right now. The best thing that she could do was to support him from the sidelines.

“Alright. Then I shall ask the Consortium for support as well. I will tell you when we advance,” she said, naturally taking the lead.

But instead of gratitude, the Rebornians began looking at her weirdly.

“Oh… ah, actually… they wanted to do this alone,” Michael whispered to her.

She froze in place once again. “What?”

“Yeah, that’s what I was hesitating about earlier. They wanted to invade the Stronghold without me because they said it would be too easy.

I told them it was dangerous, but then the Dragonborns wanted to test their mettle too. So in the end, I eventually agreed.”

Katarina didn’t even know what to say after that. They didn’t want their strongest fighter to go with them because it would be too easy?

This was not a sporting hunt! This was an invasion against the Ersatz, an organization that had their black tendrils spread all around the globe!

“That—that’s!”

“It’s okay, I’ll have a few of my Drones and my Clones to supervise them.”

Now she looked at him weirdly. “Your what?”

Michael shrugged before allowing his greatest weapons to show themselves in front of Katarina.

She watched as the entire skyline of the invaded Stronghold be filled with small Drones, their metallic luster creating a glint coming off from the lambent light of the moon. It truly did look like a constellation of stars.

She saw his Main Drone before and already thought that it was an overpowered weapon. But she would never have thought that he could create thousands of them! That was insane!

And before she could even complain about the absurdity of his weapons, he saw them.

Eleven figures. All with different faces and physiques that bore no resemblance to Michael at all.

The only thing that was a common denominator amongst them was their subservient gaze towards Michael.

“These are my clones,” Michael introduced them to her.

Katarina’s eyes narrowed as she observed the ‘clones’. First of all, they weren’t the typical clones that she would see from mages. They were more… solid. They didn’t look entirely human because it seemed as if every inch of their body was filled with power.

Then, she peered deeper into their physiques. Aubility Power threads spooled out of their chests! They were Maugnetics!

This was supposed to be impossible! Only a human could wield Aubility Powers!

Not only that, but their powers looked eerily solid like that of a Nascent Spirit cultivator!
