Huo Sining was extremely curious about that coordinate. She really wanted to know what was so special about it, why it was worth so many people secretly recording it, acting like they were terrified it might be discovered.

But after Huo Sining got her hands on that coordinate, it kept getting pushed back by all kinds of things. She dragged it out again and again, and silently made a decision in her heart: once the international Orchid Exhibition was over, she would definitely carve out time to go explore the sea area indicated by that coordinate.

However, before that, what Huo Sining cared more about was the upcoming international Orchid Exhibition.

Because she had stayed up on Luofu Mountain for over half a month, it was already late December, and the New Year was just around the corner.

Her application for early graduation had also been approved, but at the same time, the professional course exams she needed to take this year and next year were also pretty intense.

Fortunately, back when she was pregnant she had already started self-studying the remaining courses, and now her memory was getting better and better. Basically, once she went through those textbooks she could grasp seventy to eighty percent of the content, so these suddenly added subject exams weren’t really a problem for her.

On Christmas Eve, Huo Sining still took Yuanyuan back to the Imperial Capital. She had no choice; the Gu Family’s old grandpas and Old Granny were practically craning their necks with longing. During this stretch they called her every day to ask when she was coming back.

Huo Sining really couldn’t turn them down anymore. Besides, lately she had indeed been busy reviewing and honestly didn’t have much time to look after Yuanyuan. And after her exams she would be flying to Yun Province, and Yuanyuan would definitely be sent to the Imperial Capital by then anyway, so she didn’t insist. She simply took the little one back to her grandparents’ place.

As soon as she arrived, the whole Gu Family, old and young, rushed over, all chanting "good granddaughter" from their mouths. Even little Tuanzi, Gu Chengxuan, was shouting and jumping, hollering nonstop that he wanted to hold his little sister.

Huo Sining wasn’t the petty type. Even though Gu Chengxuan wasn’t very old, and Chen Yu on the side kept calling out, telling her son not to hold the baby, warning him to be careful not to drop his sister and so on, Huo Sining really didn’t mind at all. She smiled, waved her hand, and said to Chen Yu:

"She’s not that precious. Kids grow up by taking a few tumbles. Besides, Tuan likes his sister so much, he definitely won’t drop her, right?"

As she spoke, Huo Sining winked at the little guy next to her.

Gu Chengxuan was instantly overjoyed. He nodded again and again, raising his hand to promise he wouldn’t drop his sister.

Chen Yu had no choice. Even though Huo Sining said that, if the baby really did get dropped, even if Huo Sining didn’t say anything, those old grandpas and Old Granny at home would definitely blame her.

But she couldn’t bring herself to dampen her son’s enthusiasm, so she could only carefully stretch out her hands to guard around Gu Chengxuan, terrified that her son would lose his grip for a second and drop or bump little classmate Yuanyuan.

Because Gu Xu had already been staying in the Magic Capital for close to a month, he had been tossing all the company’s affairs to Song Hui during this period. Song Hui had complained no end, especially since his wife Zhang Shuang had also gone to Luofu Mountain, while he was drowning in official business and couldn’t get away at all. He was full of resentment, calling Gu Xu every day to harass him, asking when he’d return to the Imperial Capital.

Sure enough, Gu Xu had barely just arrived in the Imperial Capital when that guy somehow got the news from somewhere. He immediately dumped a huge pile of work, hopped on a plane, and flew straight to Guangcheng to find his wife. Right before boarding he only sent Gu Xu a text message, then switched off his phone and stopped responding to any company case.

Gu Xu was speechless. He had just gotten home when the company’s secretary, Xiao Qi, called, sounding practically on the verge of tears:

"Boss, President Song has boarded the plane, but we’ve got a case today—we need to fly to D Country immediately. We’ve already negotiated with the company over there; all that’s left is to go sign the contract..."

The corner of Gu Xu’s mouth couldn’t help twitching. He had rushed back to the Imperial Capital specifically to spend Christmas, and it ended up opening the door of convenience for that brat Song Hui.

By now that kid had definitely turned off his phone and cut contact with the outside world. Gu Xu knew about that case, but he hadn’t expected the contract signing to be scheduled for today, so he could only helplessly take over this mess.

"Alright, I got it. Arrange the itinerary, I’ll head to the airport in a bit."

So Gu Xu, who hadn’t even had a sip of water after getting home, was once again rushing off to the airport in a hurry. His plan to spend Christmas with his wife and daughter was definitely not going to happen.

Huo Sining actually didn’t mind. She never had much feeling for foreign holidays anyway. Besides, Gu Xu had indeed been on vacation for quite a long stretch this time, and Song Hui had been working nonstop for a whole month, doing two people’s workload every day. He was certainly exhausted, so it was understandable he’d pull a stunt like this.

After Christmas, Huo Sining returned alone to S City. Exam week at S University had begun; next came the time to test her self-study results from this period.

The exams were basically one or two subjects, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, so it wasn’t all that nerve-wracking. Plus, Huo Sining’s foundation was solid, and she’d crammed recently—hugging Buddha’s leg at the last minute, using the key points marked out by senior fourth-year students to do focused review and taking them out one by one—so once she stepped into the exam hall, she wasn’t flustered at all.

The exams went by fairly easily. Although she hadn’t seen the results yet, based on how she performed, Huo Sining could basically be sure she would pass smoothly.

This finally let Huo Sining breathe a sigh of relief. The intense exam week was completely over, and next up was the international orchid appreciation event in January.

And by this time, New Year’s Day had arrived, and all the majors in the school were starting to go on winter vacation one after another.

Huo Sining already had a plan. Wu Jun and Yaya hadn’t returned to Yun Province for years.

Even though, because of what happened all those years ago, the siblings had completely cut ties with the people back there, their parents’ graves were still there. Wu Jun hadn’t gone back all these years, and deep down he still felt somewhat guilty.

So this time, since Huo Sining was going to Yun Province to participate in the Orchid Exhibition, she simply called Wu Jun and Yaya along to Yun Province to sweep the graves of the Wu Family elders.

Wu Jun, of course, had no objections. It was Yaya who was a bit resistant; she agonized over it for a long time before finally making up her mind.

You couldn’t really blame the little girl. By now, Yaya was already a first-year high school student. Because of the huge changes in her life, this once timid, introverted little girl had become cheerful and confident.

But that didn’t mean she’d forgotten all the unbearable memories of what she went through in her hometown.

So whenever it came to going back home, the little girl was quite resistant. It took her brother Wu Jun doing ideological work with her for a long time before she finally relented and agreed.
