Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito
Chapter 2918 - 44: Three Conditions!
It is apparent that the internal forces within the Makas Merchant Guild are not entirely unified; at least, this Star River initial stage existence doesn’t seem to get along very well with that mud existence over there.
Upon hearing about the conflict between Jia Yan and that mud existence, not only did he not help, but he also seemed eager to humiliate the latter.
Of course, if Jia Yan and the Makas forces were to have a fundamental conflict, he certainly wouldn’t betray them like that; a bad relationship doesn’t mean he doesn’t identify with the Makas forces.
"You certainly have a lot of things here."
Jia Yan ran to the Stellar level existence area, and as soon as he stepped in, a bunch of Stellar level beings inside shivered in fear, quickly avoiding looking at Jia Yan and trying their best to stay far away while choosing their own items.
The existence of the Mid-level Galaxy, in great forces, could hold high-ranking positions, in small forces, be the leader, and even in the Central Milky Way Region, would not be considered low-tier individuals. Naturally, the Stellar level beings present wouldn’t dare to offend him.
Jia Yan took several glances at the things in the Stellar level area, showing an expression of surprise.
In fact, it wasn’t just surprise—it was astonishment.
Because although it’s called the Stellar level area, many of the items inside are of use or interest even to Jia Yan.
For instance, certain technological products meant for enjoyment; Jia Yan was envious of the Strong Ones in this Starry Sky, having so many amusing gadgets for accelerated cultivation.
Technology products that exclude surrounding sound, items to slightly reduce subspace turbulence, and products that slightly boost energy around cultivation.
Every item seemed to have a not-so-great effect, but when used well and one gets accustomed to it, it surely would be of great help to one’s cultivation.
Jia Yan was a bit impulsive, wanting to buy a bulk load at once.
But after some thought, he decided against it.
Strong Ones should focus on their own cultivation, moreover, he’s not used to such items yet. If he buys them, he’d spend all his time analyzing them, worrying about cost-effectiveness, and end up hindering his cultivation progress instead.
"Mister Jia Yan, I wonder if there’s anything you fancy in here."
The Star River initial stage existence also followed Jia Yan into this Starry Sky, but unlike him, he always restrained his galaxy-level momentum when encountering Stellar level beings, speaking with them politely.
This was the proper way to do business indeed.
Jia Yan looked at this Makas being and immediately felt that his mud colleague compared to him was like heaven and earth.
Of course, whether there’s such a big difference between the two, Jia Yan didn’t bother to care, just feeling a bit easy on the eyes with the latter for now.
"Sir, although I’m interested in many things inside, overall I still feel what I need is what I previously mentioned."
"No need to refuse hastily, I didn’t intend to directly buy your manufacturing secrets either. After all, such things are always money-making for you; giving them to me risks them being leaked. I know a merchant team can’t easily decide to sell secrets."
Jia Yan’s words almost got the other furious.
You know it well, yet say it out loud, or rather, since you know this, why come to ask us, a merchant team? Go ask at our commerce association headquarters to see if you get kicked out.
Jia Yan saw the slight anger in the other’s expression but wasn’t afraid and continued speaking directly.
"Truth is, I don’t have much money, so even if you quote a price, I can’t give you what you want. But just because I’m currently broke doesn’t mean I won’t get funds soon. I think I should be able to gather quite a bit quickly. If it suits you, we can trade in the future, but I’d like a baseline. How much would it cost for a portion of those advanced energy secrets, if I promise not to disclose them?"
Jia Yan just wanted to know a baseline; he really didn’t intend on buying the advanced energy production secrets right away, because he was aware he couldn’t afford it at the moment.
"Oh... I see, Mister Jia Yan just wants to inquire. I can tell you then."
The other realized Jia Yan wasn’t in such a hurry and understood he wasn’t as foolish as he seemed.
But he had not optimistic views on a Star River mid-stage existence, not even at the peak, wanting to buy their association secrets.
If it were an existence of the peak mid-galactic level, there might be some room for negotiation.
"Lord Jia Yan, what you mention about the commerce association secrets should be considered an authorization, signed with a confidentiality agreement. We usually don’t sign with individuals, because who knows where a person might go and start exposing our secrets. For example, a corner of the Milky Way, and by the time the message reaches us, it might be thousands of years later, with the responsible party long dead; nothing we can do, so we generally sign agreements with forces not to spread our developmental secrets, ensuring our interests."
"This point aside, unless the forces behind you help you purchase it in the future, you can’t buy it yourself. Alternatively, if you have the ability... go establish a force, but it can’t be relatively weak, or we wouldn’t agree."
"Besides that, there’s the strength issue. Generally, we seek buyers with strength for such large transactions. The so-called advanced energy you mentioned—I checked it, should be one among over a hundred products we developed, previously produced for game manufacturers for a while. It’s not a very crucial technology, but it’s extremely valuable. Typically, if your strength hasn’t reached the peak of mid Galaxy level, we definitely won’t sell it to you."
"Then there’s the money issue. Ha-ha, no offense, but Mister Jia Yan, I have your information on hand, you come from an extraterrestrial domain—I think even if you meet the two conditions above, our quote might be something you can’t accept, so... If you truly wish to purchase, prepare to offer our commerce association a huge amount."
Three problems exist, at least according to this Star River initial stage existence, none are acceptable or doable for Jia Yan.
The ability of the forces behind Jia Yan doesn’t guarantee meeting Makas Merchant Guild’s demands, not to mention whether Jia Yan’s forces would make guarantees for him.
In terms of strength, if Jia Yan asked his master from the forces behind him, he’d naturally have enough strength to buy out their secret authorization, but as for Jia Yan himself, he’s a bit lacking.
Furthermore, concerning the price, seeing Jia Yan’s demeanor, he didn’t seem like someone who could offer a reasonable price.
Jia Yan got starry-eyed even over many items in their Stellar-level area; such an existence surely didn’t have any money.
"I see..."
Jia Yan pondered for quite a while.
He could tell what the other thought by looking at his eyes.
Moreover, he realized he indeed didn’t match any of the three conditions.
To talk about buying their authorization now was sheer fantasy.
But Jia Yan showed not a single trace of annoyance.
Just because he can’t buy now doesn’t mean Jia Yan can’t in the future.
Besides, he hadn’t planned to initially purchase such technological authorization; he just intended to buy some similar advanced energy materials.
"I understand now, sir. For now, I’ll stop mentioning purchasing your authorization. I just want to buy some of this advanced energy; that’s fine, isn’t it?"
Jia Yan shook his head with a smile.
"Of course you can, we’d be delighted."
The other saw Jia Yan stop discussing the authorization purchase, assuming he got scared by the three conditions, so he also smiled slightly.
