Chapter 2905 - 38: I Want to Become a Chess Player!

"I believe I can achieve the rank of Territory Master within twenty years, but if Black Sheep attains this rank before me, then I’ll consider myself unlucky. Upon hearing the news of his attainment, I will immediately leave, only to return for a battle with him when I too become a Territory Master. However... if he doesn’t reach that level, and I attain the Peak of Mid-Galaxy Level, then it will be the day I ascend to Black Sheep’s residence for an open and righteous battle! At that time, all of you can bear witness to this battle!"

Whoa!

Boom!

Bang!

All around, galaxy-level and slightly weaker stellar-level beings overturned the massive mist-formed chairs and tables in their astonishment.

They were utterly shocked.

Indeed, shocked, for these strong ones, the existence of Black Sheep, though significantly dwarfed by the Insect Queen, is still indomitable, nearly standing just below one and above thousands within the Queen’s power.

Moreover, Black Sheep’s dominance is deeply ingrained in everyone’s mind, known for his vengefulness.

Yet here was Mister Jia Yan, boldly declaring such grandiose words while drinking today?!

Waiting until his strength matches Black Sheep before challenging him?!

This is simply...

A bit audacious.

Several galaxy-level individuals exchanged looks, feeling that inviting Jia Yan for drinks was somewhat harmful; it seems that misadventures due to drinking aren’t limited to the weak; even someone as powerful as Jia Yan could act recklessly after drinking?

But having spoken, there’s no taking it back.

If Black Sheep wants any excuse, it doesn’t matter if it was post-drinking; thus, what Jia Yan said today here would be an excellent provocation for Black Sheep.

"You all know Mister Jia Yan spoke out of turn today due to drinking, right? I hope no one spreads this incident in the future."

A mid-tier galactic creature spoke coldly to the surrounding galaxy-level individuals and those with slightly significant power or strength.

"Naturally, we won’t utter nonsense."

Those nearby, wanting to forge good relations with Jia Yan, nodded hastily.

"Very well, Mister Jia Yan, you’ve only recently emerged; surely drinking too much isn’t healthy; please return and rest for a few days."

The mid-tier galaxy level spoke to Jia Yan this way.

Originally, Jia Yan felt a bit regretful about his recent words, and now taking the opportunity to retreat, he nodded: "Alright."

He left, erasing any fondness for the drink instantly.

Drinking is best kept to a minimum.

However...

Challenge Black Sheep, face-to-face?

Returning to his misty room, Jia Yan felt a subtle urge to laugh.

Indeed, he did want to laugh because he felt he’d spoken from the heart, and challenging Black Sheep in the future was something he wanted to do.

"Hehe, someone ought to sort out this Black Sheep; I merely acted on what I’ve long considered."

"Moreover, the words I spoke today—I don’t believe they won’t reach Black Sheep. Among so many present, surely not everyone feels fondly towards me, Jia Yan; among them might even be those greatly indebted to Black Sheep. It seems likely my words have already reached Black Sheep by now?"

"So be it, as long as he doesn’t come knocking immediately; just as I said, if he attains Territory Master first, I will depart early. Of course, this information should be timely; if it’s delayed until he becomes Territory Master, Black Sheep might have already launched an attack on me. But if I receive the intelligence beforehand, I can escape timely."

Saying this left Jia Yan very relieved.

As Jia Yan anticipated, having just recovered and emerged, his ’blunder’ words immediately reached Black Sheep.

Not only Black Sheep, but as the Lord of Power, the Insect Queen naturally received a copy just as quickly.

Even a few other capable mid-tier peak galaxy entities obtained this intelligence.

"This Jia Yan wants to challenge Black Sheep? And he mentioned achieving Peak Mid-Tier level before Black Sheep’s promotion to Territory Master... then come?"

The Insect Queen smiled faintly at the intelligence in her hand.

Her laughter stemmed from feeling Jia Yan was somewhat naive.

Having traversed the path herself, she knew how unrealistic Jia Yan’s statements were.

First, while Jia Yan aiming to catch up to Black Sheep isn’t impossible, it’s highly improbable, given Black Sheep’s ability to overshadow numerous mid-tier peak entities and rank second in power within her realm, only below herself. This speaks to his mastery at the Peak Galaxy Level, and an impromptu promotion wouldn’t surprise.

Thus Jia Yan’s pursuit is incredibly difficult.

Secondly, even if Jia Yan achieves the Peak Mid-Tier level before Black Sheep’s promotion, does he believe he can then challenge him?

Utterly wrong.

Just as in other ranks, even within the same tier, there’s a power gap between individuals.

Black Sheep isn’t just dominant in the Insect Clan’s Domain; he has triumphed against several same-tier Mid Galaxy Peak Strongmen in the Central Star Domain, showcasing his astonishing prowess.
