Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 2804 - 57: Stop Him, Ahhh!

They hurriedly dared not linger in battle any longer, not even stop for a moment, and quickly issued the order to retreat, flying backward.

They were doing their best to distance themselves from that terrifying single-person battleship.

Because this one battleship alone could match a hundred thousand battleships, they say it would exhaust all its energy, but it had not even used up half of its energy and had already dealt with the two civilizations. To exterminate them, it probably wouldn’t even need half of its energy, which means this tactic might be utterly useless.

The biggest problem was that this powerful pilot, incredibly, ignored the layers of subspace disturbances they set up, not even the standard machinery could stop his steps, leaving them helpless and speechless.

It’s not that they didn’t resist with all their might, but the enemy’s capabilities completely surpassed their full strength, leading to utter despair.

"Run, run, run."

On the other end, not only the master spaceships of the two civilizations not far from Jia Yan, but even the huge battleships that still held a numerical advantage were now in complete chaos.

Each one of them was fleeing toward the spaceships.

Because everyone knew, if they didn’t want to end up like the two previous civilizations, facing the conclusion where everyone must accept their game character’s death, they must protect their master spaceship.

In the past, with powerful master spaceships, they always believed their master spaceship was the stronghold of firepower support, even the most reliable fortress. But now, they realized their spaceship was a defenseless infant, requiring this group of ordinary battleships to retreat and protect it.

Obviously, this also had to do with the enemy’s nature. Giving him such a large swath of battleships to kill might exhaust his energy several times without killing them all, but killing the Lord of the Sovereign inside the spaceship would be enough for him to kill multiple times, so they needed ordinary battleships for protection.

"Let’s hurry over there, even if we can’t beat that battleship, at least every one of us has a subspace disturbance mechanism. Once near the spaceship, everyone activates their disturbance mechanism, and he won’t be able to use his subspace talent to kill our Lord of the Sovereign."

The warship pilots realized that to prevent their spaceship’s destruction, they must pile up with human lives.

They feared their game character dying too, but now, if they didn’t act, the whole civilization would perish, so they might as well fight back.

"They’re trying to escape! Stop them."

Behind them, the more than a thousand Earth Battleships were now down to less than five hundred, but these five hundred, surviving under the enemy’s ferocious gunfire, still had decent combat power.

Seeing these enemies, as numerous as locusts, running back, the Earth Battleships pursued valiantly.

They knew the enemy had no intention of minding this small contingent of Earth Battleships that seemed like ants.

Thus, the chase felt like target practice; the large enemy ships, running frantically in front while the small but incredibly fearsome Earth Battleships pursued, causing helmets and armor to be discarded up ahead.

Of course, the truth wasn’t so.

The reason this large group of wars ships fled was because, far away, that one enemy battleship—this battleship was their nightmare.

Single-handedly, it annihilated two present civilizations, thirty thousand battleships.

The current thirty thousand remaining were naturally terrified, wanting to turn back to protect their mother ships, otherwise, they’d end up like the previous two civilizations.

Before this battle, none could have imagined this possibility.

Even if it were brutal, everyone thought, believing this war would definitely result in their victory.

But in truth, this inter-civilization conflict was once again dominated by the Earth civilization, at least up to now, holding the greatest advantage, the situation seemingly one-sided.

"Hurry up, even if we can’t win this war, we must at least ensure our survival."

"That’s right, even if some of us must die, it’s okay. If we catch up with him later, I’ll be the first to crash into him, even if we perish, we will not let our years of effort become a historical joke."

"Indeed, this is our pride. To be wiped out by one person would be a tremendous humiliation."

It’s just a game, everyone knew they wouldn’t truly die, so in this war, their primary concern was their reputation.

Many of the players present told their real-life friends they were playing this large-scale realistic civilization game, and many platforms were live-streaming their gameplay. If one person destroyed their civilization so thoroughly, real friends might mock them.

So they absolutely wouldn’t allow it.

Even if the game couldn’t be played, even if they died, they had to protect their civilization.

This was a form of pride; for those who’d played this game for many years, they already regarded in-game achievements as their honor in real life, especially those leading a normal life. Achieving high civilization status in-game might be their proudest accomplishment in life, so how could they let their civilization perish so easily.

"There, oh no, he’s beside our master spaceship."

"Stop him, ahhh."

Thud.

Countless warship operators glared as if their eyes would pop out, not caring about the remnant Earth Battleships chasing them from behind, nor caring if Earth Battleships would mock their retreat without a fight, their sole focus was on reaching their civilization spaceship before the mysterious strong pilot’s final move, and then protecting the spaceship.

But now, they witnessed it with their own eyes, as that battleship abruptly flashed beside their spaceship.

They genuinely weren’t reconciled, yet there was nothing they could do.

Thud.

A slight collision sound echoed inside that spaceship.

"Ugh..."

"I’m not content."

"Truly not content."

"Seven years of effort."

"Haha, I’ll never play games again in my life."

"What do they call this game? I’m the strong one. Don’t worry about the strong, this game is fair."

"But in the end, this is still the world of the strong. If a strong one comes, we’ll still be slaughtered like this."

One by one, the warship pilots seemed to laugh miserably, each feeling incredibly foolish.

In the world of the strong, in the era of the strong, where did they hope to find a place free from the strong?

Impossible, was this not proof that in the game they considered fair, a strong one came and still burned seven years of their effort to ashes as outside.

Among the thirty thousand charging battleships, another half fell silent during their charge.

The other half, each pilot felt immensely saddened.

The initial sixty-thousand strong force now had only fifteen thousand remaining, a quarter of the original.

Though the number still seemed overwhelming, looking back, the silence of forty-five thousand strong was a dire situation, what could they do against such an enemy?

"Forget it, isn’t it just a game? I give up, isn’t giving up okay."

Some warship pilots were on the verge of giving up.

They were in despair because that ominous figure ahead of them was not one they could contend with.

They accepted their fate, knowing their own civilization, for inciting such an adversary, had brought this upon themselves, so they must bear the consequences.

Yet another group of warship pilots continued to sprint desperately, unable to reconcile.

But even with their unwillingness, their speed still lagged.

The prior four spaceships had already distanced themselves from the battlefield due to fear of Jia Yan’s assault, and having fled another distance now, the ordinary-speed battleships struggled to catch up to the fleeing ships quickly.

Moreover, Jia Yan wouldn’t give them the time either.

Boom.
