Reborn as an A-Rank Guide: Trapped By The Crazy Sentinels
Chapter 74: Relentless demands
Xander turned his sharp profile slightly, breathing oxygen straight into her mouth.
Amidst the shimmering blue waves, countless fine bubbles seeped from between their locked lips, rising toward the surface like translucent pearls before bursting into tiny splashes. Driven by raw survival instinct, Bunny wrapped her arms around his neck, deepening the kiss herself as she scrambled for more air.
Xander’s thick eyelashes fluttered open, revealing a fierce, turbulent storm brewing within his glass-like eyes.
---Splash!---
Xander broke through the surface, carrying Bunny with him. The woman’s white dress was completely drenched, clinging tightly to every alluring curve of her body. Wet strands of hair stuck to her cheeks, and her freshly kissed lips were a vivid, ripe red as her chest heaved with shallow breaths.
She looked entirely vulnerable—a sight that incited pure temptation.
Xander stared at her lips, his throat tightening with an intense dryness.
Bunny’s heart was hammering against her ribs. If memory served her right, Xander had just kissed her on his own initiative—even if it was technically just CPR.
"Xander... thank you..."
She gasped, still shaken by the close call. Yet, she couldn’t ignore why her heart was beating so wildly.
Xander suddenly cupped her face, his downcast eyes swirling with a dark, surging intensity.
"Bunny..."
His voice was deep, magnetic, and heavy with a hypnotic pull that tugged at her heartstrings.
"I want to..."
Bunny blinked her wide, glistening eyes. "What... what do you want?"
Xander gently hooked his arm behind her knees, lifting her up. "A soothing session."
Before the words fully landed, his lips crashed down on hers once more. Only this time, he stripped away every trace of his gentle facade.
It was a fierce, possessive, and utterly unstoppable kiss.
Xander’s onslaught was sharp and frantic, yet he still granted her a fleeting moment to acclimate.
He kissed her lips tenderly, sipping gently from the corners before working his way down to her cupid’s bow. His tail swayed gracefully near the pool’s edge, one arm encircling her waist while his free hand cupped the back of her head.
A low, raspy sigh escaped his throat—starting with soft pecks, deepening into exploratory nips, and finally unraveling into unrestrained, needy bites.
This wasn’t Bunny’s first kiss, yet it definitely felt like one. It was just... so different.
Feeling somewhat nervous, she could do nothing but clutch tightly at his ocean-blue hair, arching her neck to helplessly accept his relentless demands.
Superficial contact stopped satisfying him almost immediately. The agile tip of his tongue pried her lips open, moving with dominant intensity to plunder her sweetness. The more he sampled, the hungrier and more aggressive he became.
An exchange steeped in pheromones felt like sweet nectar drawing a honeybee from miles away to flutter and inhale its scent. Every fiber of Xander’s muscles began to tremble with pure exhilaration. This was a long-awaited rainfall from Bunny—a miracle he had endured a decade of longing to finally receive.
Xander was a master of deep, passion-fueled kissing. He coaxed and entangled her, drowning Bunny in wave after wave of suffocating devotion until her mind spun and her defenses dissolved completely.
Under the bright, crisp moonlight, the surface of the pool sparkled with shifting ripples, spreading endless concentric circles across the water.
His breathtaking beauty was carved by the northern ice plains—combining the biting chill of a snowy realm with the quiet, frozen serenity of a winter lake. Xander’s pale, delicate lashes rested loosely as his half-closed eyes lost their usual calm logic to a swirling vortex of desire.
"Bunny..."
His deep, resonant voice brushed against her earlobe. Bunny fluttered her eyes open, her mist-veiled gaze capturing the flushed, enamored features of the man above her. Her lips had been thoroughly bruised into a vivid crimson, while Xander’s pale, muscular chest bore several bright red scratch marks—frantic souvenirs from her struggling to catch her breath.
He leaned in to press his forehead against hers, and their mental threads instantly fused together, plunging Bunny’s vision into a dazzling, absolute whiteout.
She seemed to step straight into a dreamlike vision.
Surrounding scenery materialized out of nowhere. The distant hum of hovercraft and road-clearing vehicles drew near, flanked by dull gray steel structures, while the street beneath her feet was strewn with Terra’s rock debris and coarse gravel.
A fleet of drones belonging to the HBL Police Department zipped through the skyline above, emitting rhythmic red alarm flashes as they pursued wanted criminals.
Holographic advertisement screens flickered in bright shades of neon green and red, while virtual avatars glided through the bustling crowd. As a heavy road sweeper rumbled past, a Sentinel who had just clocked off his shift at the precinct paced briskly toward home, cradling a tiny infant wrapped securely inside his thick wool coat.
He arrived at a blocky, shipping-container-style apartment complex, navigating through a hallway packed with a chaotic mix of addicts, thugs, and vagrants.
"Hey, clone cop! Off the clock already?"
The local punks hurled shameless taunts his way.
"How many petty thieves did you drag in today? Terra’s peace rests on your shoulders, man!"
"What’s that you’re holding?"
The moment they realized the Sentinel was cradling a blue-haired baby, a wave of sneers erupted:
"Where’d you swipe that from?"
"Report him! He’s stealing infants straight out of the gestation vats!"
After all, clones were entirely sterile.
Pushed past his limit, the Sentinel drew his sidearm, sending the haze-dazed gang scattering in an instant.
He brought the newborn back to his cramped studio apartment. Having never raised a child, he panicked as the baby burst into continuous tears, hovering over the crib in total disarray.
"Darling, you need to feed him."
A virtual woman draped in an emerald-green cheongsam materialized in the room. Only then did the Sentinel scramble to retrieve the last pouch of milk from the fridge, warming it up before nursing the infant.
"Where on earth did you pick up this little guy?"
The woman sat beside the bed, gazing curiously at the baby quietly drinking his milk.
The Sentinel offered her a warm smile. "Rescued him during a bust today—pulled him right out of the hands of embryo traffickers."
