Chapter 677 - Potion
Chapter 677 – Potion
Kana’s soul returned to her body. She picked up her sword and tied it to her side before stretching her arms. “Why do I have a feeling that that old man will suddenly show up out of nowhere one day screaming: I’m going to kill you for killing my disciple. Then he will somehow die, and then after that, there will be his mother’s cousin’s sister’s brother in law’s friend from another mother’s sister’s second uncle’s friend who he hardly knew, will come out of the ground years later to try to finish me off….”
Kana’s mind was thinking of all the stories she read throughout the memories she now had. Some of which lived on planets similar to Earth’s. Chuckling to herself, Kana spat out a ball of flame and held it in her hand, lighting the area up. “So this place was just an old tunnel created by the person who hid their forge here, or at least I think anyway. At the very least, the tunnel leading down was created by them. But I wonder how they got the forge down there unless the entrance had sealed up enough to only leave that small path down. Well, at any rate, I need to get out of here….”
Kana followed the wall until she found a spot with a bunch of fresh dirt piled up. She looked up to see a hole not too far off the floor that she could easily get to. “I guess I will need to jump up and turn into my dragon form to get up there.”
Kana sighed as she untied her sword once more and put it in her mouth before jumping up and grabbing the edge before transforming into her dragon form and pulling herself up. She then crawled up the slope ever so slowly as the slope itself was very slippery. When Kana finally saw light, she sighed in relief and crawled back up into the thicket. “Now to get back to the forest edge before any strong demonic beasts spot me.”
Kana dashed out of the thicket and made her way towards the forest edge. Along the way, she picked up a bunch of the herbs she needed to try to make the healing potion. It took a few hours, but she finally arrived at the forest edge, allowing her to feel more relaxed. When she saw the open field in front of her, she was very happy. She ran for a while before finding a lone tree to stop under to rest in the shade. It was only then that Kana transformed back into her human form. She tied her sword to her waist before sitting down and calling out her chest. Kana had grabbed everything she could from the place where she found the forge. This included a bunch of empty pill bottles.
Because she had the never ending flask that poured out spirit spring water, Kana used that as she began grinding up the herbs, she found in the right proportions based on what she had learned. She grounded them until they formed a green liquid and then mixed the liquid into a bottle half filled with her spirit spring water. She capped it and shook it up, making sure it was fully mixed before pulling the cap back and taking a whiff. What entered her nose was a smell that instantly relaxed her. “I think it worked. Only one way to find out.”
Kana unsheathed her sword and then slashed her arm with it, causing blood to gush out. She then hurriedly drank most of the potion, leaving a little bit to pour over her wound. She then watched with anticipation, waiting to see if she had actually made a potion or not. As she watched, she saw the blood that was leaking out begin to reverse and the wound itself slowly starting to close up. In about three minutes, there was no sign of any cut. Not even a scar.
Kana’s lips curled up as she saw the effects. “Although this kind of effect has something to do with the water in my flask, it is truly amazing. I should make as many as I can for now before resting for the day, and tomorrow, I will head back into the forest to begin my physical training.”
Kana did exactly what she did before, and in less than an hour, she had ten bottles sitting in front of her. She still had plenty of herbs, but only ten empty pill bottles now turned potion bottles. Kana had no idea she had accomplished what many Alchemists have always tried to accomplish. But none of them had a never ending supply of spirit spring water. It was a treasured item, and even a single drop would be worth thousands of high grade spirit stones if auctioned off. But here, kana was drinking it like it was regular water and even making potions with it.
After putting everything away, Kana climbed the tree she was under and found a decent limb to rest on as she looked out over the area between the leaves in the tree. She always liked to find a branch that made it hard for others to spot her. “Tomorrow, I need to find a chance to breakthrough. Once I hit the spiritual qi gathering realm, I will have reached my goal. But I have no idea how long I have been gone, so I will need to find a town and ask the date. But I do not think it has been more than a few months at most. I did spend a long time down in that hole, though.”
Kana had no idea if she was down in that hole for a few weeks, a month, or even more than that. With no way of telling time and always having her full concentration on her forging, she had probably even missed a few days or weeks without sleeping. Kana yawned and stretched her limbs. She then got into a cross legged sitting position and cleared her mind before falling into a state of cultivation. She did make sure to keep an ear out for anything that might threaten her life.
For the most part, Kana was happy with her current progress. Although she had a run in with that strange village and then had to run away from the man in black, she still came out with not only being one step away from her goal but also with a forge and a chest with a huge amount of space. The road ahead was a bumpy one, but Kana was ready.. One step at a time, she was willing to continue forward.
