Chapter 540 - Requesting Assistance Part 2
"Hmm, you wish to ask me to fight the goddess of life?" Tian fell into deep thought. He knew how powerful the goddess of death and goddess of life truly were. The two were like fire and water. They would never see eye to eye. But one thing he knew was that the goddess of death had always been compassionate, unlike the goddess of life who would lose herself in the praises of the people. One who knew naught of hardship would always take such things for granted, never allowing them to understand what it meant to suffer. This was unlike the goddess of death, who had to undergo great suffering to even receive her powers.
Creige lowered his head as he placed his hands on his knees. "Please, that old bastard tasked my daughter with this task because of her complete control over people's souls. He does not want the goddess of life's soul to reincarnate. This is to allow my wife, Kana, to also gain her powers creating one of the strongest beings ever known."
"I see... That old man had really thought this through. He is at war with the god of destruction. Although things have been peaceful, the two are indeed at war. But having Kana become both the goddess of life and goddess of death, he is basically making a weaker version of his original self. My guess is that he plans to have her take over Eden… Sadly in all the realms, he is the only one I can not peek in on." Tian sighed as he moved another pawn chess piece.
"I myself have never been to Aurora. But I am working to break the bonds of mortality now. Once I reach the sea of stars, and I meet up with Kana again, I hope by then I will be ready." Creige sighed as he matched Tian's move with a pawn of his own.
"Breaking the shackles is the hardest part. As Kana was originally from there, it will be easier for her. But for you and your daughters, I feel things will not be so simple. Great power will be needed, and very few have ever reached such a stage. But I do not doubt the man she would marry would be weak, nor would her children. You will all be able to reach the goals you so desire." Tian moved his knight and sat back in his chair, and closed his eyes.
"I can only hope. But I will say I will never give up. Our goal is to reach Aurora. That is where my wife needs to go, and I will be damned if I am going to be left behind. I have already worked hard all these years thinking only of her, hoping she will be okay and fighting towards the day we meet again. She is the reason I have been able to regain my powers so fast. I will continue to grow and reach the sea of stars and wait for her with my children for the one person we miss the most." Creige was not just saying this to Tian but himself as well. He was firming his resolve to always keep pushing forward to grow to new strengths never seen before. He moved his rook into place without much thought. Only when he took his fingers off the piece did he realize his mistake.
Tian smiled, opened his eyes, and moved his queen. "Check. Remember, never let your guard down, or you will end up losing your life. But to answer you on this request, I accept it. But I will need one more as well in order to fight on even ground with the goddess of life and give your daughter time to rip her soul out of her body."
"Oh? Another? Who do you need? I will try to find them..." Creige was happy Tian was willing to assist Angelica, but he wondered just how Tian needed to assist him.
"No need to worry about this as I will be visiting her soon. She is also someone you know as well. Just a small queen of hell who should have ascended to Aurora many, many years ago." Tian smiled as he stood up. "I will not keep you. I will be making a visit to the one I will need to help me before going to your daughter to form a temporary contract. But once your wife returns, I will also return to her side. And I am sure the others will as well. Because as you know, we were all saved by her and have sworn our loyalty to her and only her. You could say the reason I am even willing to help you is because in the end, it will make her more powerful." Tian said with a smile.
Creige smiled back and stood up and bowed his head. "You have my gratitude. I will leave my daughter's protection to you. I hope all goes well."
"I will lay my life down to protect her, do not worry. If she dies, that means someone stepped over my corpse. Now then, I will be visiting the one who will be assisting me. So you should leave. This space will soon collapse." Tian smiled and disappeared. The whole room began to shake, causing Creige to shake his head. He waved his hand and disappeared from the room as well, just before the room filled with water, washing away any signs of anyone living there.

Camlia was making her way around the realms searching for Kana's family members. She was currently flying through the air over a city when a distortion appeared in front of her, and a handsome man stepped out of it. "Who!?"
The handsome man stood in front of Camlia and furrowed his brow slightly. "Hmm… Your power has stagnated. This upcoming battle will do you some good. Ah! Where are my manners? My name is Tian. I came to have you help me assist the goddess of death's daughter, Angelica with a mission. You have no right to refuse."
Camlia had yet to say anything before the handsome man waved his hand and dragged her through the distortion in space. Only to find herself standing in the middle of a large library! "Godmother!?" Camlia heard a voice she had not heard in a long time and turned around to see Angelica standing there with a pair of brass glasses on her face looking at her in surprise. "Angelica!"
