Chapter 51 - Operation Border Hopping Part Three
"Excuse me!" A young woman's voice came from behind a large burly tiger man who had a huge sack on his shoulder.
The burly tiger man turned around to see a young cat sith standing there. Her beauty was one of a kind. Her black tail that swished back and forth made the burly tiger man blush. "How can I help you?"
"Ahh, you see, one of my friends is a little too unique, and we need to get her into the Rural Kingdom and away from these humans." The young cat sith girl pointed to a dog sized red lizard girl making a weird pose. For some reason, she was on her hind legs, her back arched forward a little bit, her left paw on her hip, and the right one blowing kisses at the burly tiger man.
"Haha! Yeah, I would say she is unique, alright." The burly tiger man let out a hearty laugh seeing the red lizard girl's funny poses.
The young cat sith turned to look at the red lizard girl and almost screamed as she reached and whacked the red lizard girl's head. "Kana, what are you doing!?"
"Ouch! I was making sexy poses!" Kana looked at Ceilie, aggrieved, while rubbing her head. She was just trying to make things run smoother. This is what the ladies in the back allies did to get men to do what they wanted. Kana saw nothing wrong with her actions.
"Cut it out! People will think you are weird!" Ceilie's face was turning red with embarrassment.
"Ahaha! I guess you want to join us, right? Hop on board. My name is Claine. I am the master of this here wagon caravan." Claine said with another hearty laugh. "I can't just let you girls get stopped by those humans. In times like these, it is best to help out fellow kinsmen."
Ceilie's ears perked up when she heard this. "Thank you very much, Claine. My name is Ceilie, the crazy lizard is Kana, and the quiet girl is Misha. You have to excuse her. We saved her from a slave trader who abused her. She is scared of men in particular and does not speak very much. "
"That's fine. Just hop on up. It is almost our turn." Claine said as he waved to one of his men, who opened the back of one of the wagons. Ceilie grabbed both Kana's and Princess Tilia's hands and climbed into the back of the wagon.
One of the other tiger men walked up to Claine and whispered: "Boss, that girl..."
"Leave it. Whatever the case, maybe the other two were being protective of her. Did you not see how they kept her in the middle while talking to me. There is no harm in letting them cross the border. Especially the red one. The faster she gets out of human lands, the better. So get back to work and get these wagons moving!" Claine ordered. After the other tiger man left, Claine looked up at the sky and said: "How many years has it been since I have seen one of their kind. Is a new age about to begin? A day when us beastkin can finally hold our heads up high no matter where we go in this world?" Claine let out a sigh and walked towards the front of his wagon caravan.
Inside the wagon, Ceilie leaned up against a box and let out a small sigh. "For now, we are close to passing the border. From there, we will need to head northeast to the capital. "
"Luckily, that Claine guy was nice." Kana said as she curled up next to Ceilie and yawned.
"We only have two days until you can evolve, right? So we will need to say goodbye to Claine tomorrow and split ways. We will head into the forest not far from here and find a secluded place for your evolution. We have to make sure no one interrupts your evolution." Ceilie explained their next plan of action.
Between the two, Ceilie was the one with the best head on her shoulders and knew how to plan, leaving Kana to just laze around as she is now. She had long fallen asleep while Ceilie was talking without a care in the world. "Ceilie, she is already asleep..." Tilia pointed at Kana who's belly was rising and lowering as she slept peacefully.
"What am I going to do with her..." Ceilie may have sounded annoyed, but her warm smile as she patted Kana's head said differently.
"Everyone out of the wagons! We are doing an inspection!" A human guard yelled out.
"Everyone is here." Claine's voice could also be heard. He wasn't any quieter than the human guard.
"Don't lie to me! I saw three females join your wagon not too long ago." The human guard yelled.
Claine clicked his tongue but still wouldn't budge. "Sir, if you want to see my sister, then you will need to do so alone, surrounded by five of my people. If you think I am dumb on how you humans work, then you got another thing coming to you. We may be still in the human domain, But I am damn sure me and my men can make sure the females of my race can cross the border unhindered. Also…."
Claine pulled out an insignia and showed it to the guard. The guard looked at the insignia and frowned. "Fine, just go! Let them through!" The guard gnashed his teeth as he said this.
Claine snorted before putting the insignia back. He never wanted to use that insignia, but the hope of all beastmen laid asleep in the back of his wagon.
