Chapter 475 - Battle With A Rock Monster Part 1
Kana dozed off at some point and woke up the next morning feeling refreshed. She made sure the fire she made was out before pushing the large stone out of the way and closing it behind her, so the strange monsters did try to go inside. Surprisingly there were only a few monsters hanging around the cliff top this early in the morning.
Kana flew down into the forest below and landed firmly on the soft forest ground. When she looked around, she noticed not a single monster in sight. Scratching her head, she continued deeper into the forest. Looking for some monsters for her to level up on. Every once and a while, a monster would come out of nowhere and attack her.
These monsters, even though Kana readied herself for a decent battle, all died with a single slap from her. "Well… This is not very fulfilling. This island is such a disappointment. I thought with it being unexplored that maybe it was an island with a bunch of powerful monsters on it, but from the looks of things, they are all just weak monsters who can barely pass as being an actual monsters. I wish I could find something strong to figh…."
Kana stopped her complaints when she came eye to eye with a large monster. Or it could be said she came body to eye. The eye itself was as large as she was! "Ermmm… Are you strong?"
*Roar!*
A loud booming roar filled the sky as the monster raised its head, causing the whole island to shake. Out at sea, the men dressed in black on the ship all raised their heads when they heard the earth shattering roar. "It woke up! Shit! There is no way we will be able to get any of those flowers this time around."
"Let's head back. No use waiting here." The men dressed in black all let out disgruntled sighs. But it seemed this was a normal occurrence as they did not make too much of a fuss about it as they turned the ship around to leave, but before they got too far, they heard a loud explosion coming from the island.
*Boom!*
"Hold on. Something is happening!" The leader of the men dressed in black yelled out. The ship stopped, and every man on board stared at the island.
"Haha! Now, this is more like it!" Kana yelled out with glee. She couldn't keep her excitement down as the massive stone fist crashed into her body, sending her flying through the woods. Although she was smashing through trees, rocks, and underbrush, she was still smiling and laughing away as if she had only been tickled!
Kana pulled herself out of the newly created trench and shook off the dirt. She then charged back towards the monster at lightning speed and slammed her fist into the side of the monster's face. The huge monster that had one eye, a beige rocky body, and large amounts of green moss hanging off its body went flying into the air and befor heavily dropping on the ground causing the whole island to sink slightly before rebounding back up.
The men dressed in black who witnessed all of this all stared in shock at what they were seeing! "What!? Who is strong enough to send that thing flying!? Many have tried fighting that thing, but all failed to do so and died trying!"
"Look over there! It's a young girl!"
"What!?"
The men dressed in black were all in shock when they saw the young girl hovering in the air facing off with the rock monster. They watched as the rock monster struck out at the same time as the young girl punched out at it. Their fists collided, causing a huge shock wave that boomed across the sky. The young girl was not even using any spells or skills. She was fighting fist to fist in a barrage of blows. Sometimes she went flying, while other times, the monster went flying. Just in pure raw strength alone, the two were evenly matched!
"Haha! Good! " Kana let out a jolly laugh. She was having so much fun!
*Roar!*
The monster did not seem to like Kana laughing at it as it decided to change its tactic. The ground around it began to shake, causing a surge of earth elements to fill the area. This quickly caught Kana's attention. "Oh? What? Wait! I'm not ready!" Kana yelled out as she narrowly dodged an earth spike from piercing her through.
She quickly waved her hand, sending multiple balls of flame flying at the rock monster. The rock monster responded by creating a large rock dome to surround it. But Kana's flames melted right through it and slammed into the rock monster, causing it to roar in pain. "We could have just kept fighting for days using fists, but you had to go start using magic!" Kana yelled.
She had thought she could get some training in on a foe with the same strength as her, but it had to go and start using magic. Her flames were hot enough to melt anything once they touched it. She was about to finish the rock monster off when she saw something shocking. The rock monster was actually regenerating using the ground around it! Just now, in her attack she had blown off one of its arms and put a huge hole in its side, but now it was all regenerated!
"Maybe this will be good training after all..." Kana thought as she quickly dodged more stone spikes and then the boulders that were flying at her. "Hey! Give me a chance to breathe here!"
"Um, what is she doing? She is dodging, then pointing at the monster with her finger and yelling at it." one of the men dressed in black asked.
"Maybe she is mad because it started throwing rocks at her?"
"But didn't she just damage the monster severely just now?"
"Idiot! If it was just damaging it that monster would be dead long ago. But that thing can regenerate from a grain of sand. It is impossible to kill!"
