Chapter 429 - The Past: Intertwined Fates Part 2
"You are not cursed!" Ar'en would not accept it. He could not accept Kana thinking that she was someone who was cursed! She was such a kind and loving girl who did so much for people. If she was cursed, then the whole damn world was filled with nothing but evil beings! "Kana, there is no way someone who is as kind as you could be cursed. The things that have happened are nothing more than a coincidence! Come with me. Spend time with me and see the true colors of this world. I promise you that you will not regret it and will be able to see that your dream can come true!"
Kana was slightly swayed by Ar'en's words. She did not hate Ar'en. Every time they have met, he was always asking how she was, showing care and concern for her. She felt touched by his actions, but she did not want to become a burden. If she came to express feelings for him and something happened to him, she did not know what she would do.
Kana stared at Ar'en with a complicated expression and shook her head. "It is best if you don't follow me anymore. I do not want to see you end up like everyone else who shows care and concern for me." Kana then turned and went to fly away but found her wrist being held. Her body was forcefully spun around, and the next thing she knew she was in Ar'en'sembrace, and something soft was pressed against her lips. Ar'en's minty smell filled her nose as her eyes shot wide open.
She pushed hard against Ar'en's chest, pushing herself out of his embrace, and stared at him with complex emotions. "Kana, I am madly in love with you. I do not care if you say you are cursed. I will stand by your side and become cursed with you. Even if the heavens were to fall down I will be there to push them back up. Ever since that day you left the border city after that attack, you are the only thing I think about. For thirty years, I have thought of nothing but you. I wonder how you were if you were safe. If you had been injured. Whether you finally smiled or not. You have made my heart that was once a block of ice melt, and begin beating again. You have to take responsibility for this!"
Kana just floated in the air staring at Ar'en, who was acting like a young girl who had her virginity stolen, still in a daze. She had yet to get over the fact that the man before her who was confessing his feelings to her had actually kissed her! She was unsure of what to do. The love between a man and woman was an unknown subject to her. Not knowing what to say or do, Kana only had one thing pop up in her mind, and that was to run!
Kana quickly turned and flew away as fast as she could. Her cheeks were on fire. She had never been intimate with a man before, and to suddenly be kissed and confessed to was too much for her. Plus… She was afraid she would harm him. Any time she cared about someone, even if it was only on friendly terms, they would end up dead in ten years time… Just like her clansmen and… The people of the city she once lived in.
Ar'en saw Kana fleeing as if her life depended on it with red cheeks and smiled. "See, you do still have a heart in you. How could such a cute girl be cursed? I will prove my love to you is true and show you that you are not cursed. Even if it takes me hundreds of years, I will prove that you can stay by my side and not have to worry about anything bad happening to me."

Rural Kingdom throne room…
"Your Majesty, this is tyranny!" One of the nobles yelled. He could not accept this kind of outcome! He was to be the master! Why was it suddenly that he was going to be turned into a slave? Not only him but his family as well!
"Tyranny? How is giving you want you want tyranny? Did you not ask for slavery? Did you not ask for me to revoke my reform? Am I not giving you what you want? Or is it that you only see beastkins as slaves that should follow human commands? I will say this now. The Munas continent that we live on, the one under my rule, will never have another beastkin slave upon it. Thousands of years have gone by, and your people have enslaved us for so long. My reform was made so that all races could live equally! But here you are complaining about that reform, and when I try to give you what you wish for so much, you call it tyranny? Did you not try to kill me in order to become the master? Who is the real tyrant here?" Tilia sneered. She hated hypocritical people the most. They came complaining about the reform after a failed assassination, but when she tried to give them what they wanted, they didn't want it.
"You!" The noble suddenly stood up and waved his hands, creating a magic circle. "Since it has come to this, I will kill you myself!"
"Idiot...' Nergal snorted as she saw Ceilie flash from where she was standing. She appeared behind the man sheathing her sword. The noble hand was still stretched out, but his body swayed, causing the head to suddenly slip off of his neck and fall to the floor. In order to not mess up the place, Ceilie had heated her blade with fire magic. So both body and head fell to the floor spilling no blood.
Tilia looked coldly at the body on the floor before waving her hand. "Take the rest away. We will hold the auction tomorrow morning. Arrest their families. All children under ten will be put into an orphanage within the capital. As for the rest, sell them off... "
