Chapter 1171  The Office Part 1

After school, Kana and Nikkie headed not home but to a large building in the middle of the city. With her school bag hung over her shoulder and her school uniform fluttering with each step she took, Kana walked into the building and nodded at the security guard. The guard nodded back and let her pass without batting an eye. One of the two clerks at the front desk looked at the two girls walking in without being stopped with a bit of confusion in her eye. "Who are they? The boss's daughters?"  "No. I would suggest that you never anger either of them. The cute girl with the bag over her shoulder, walking in the front, is our boss. The person who built this company from the ground up. The girl behind her is known as the head hunter. Anyone who dares to try to touch the company's profits ends up losing everything." The other clerk replied with a stern warning. The girl turned to her co-worker in surprise. Kana arrived on the top floor where her office was located and was met with three people standing and waiting for her. "Boss! You are here. We have been waiting."

"What time is the board meeting?" Kana asked as she handed her bag to one of the girls at the side.

"It's in thirty minutes. Ummm… Mitchel called again and asked to have a meeting with you. He said he wanted to talk to you about collaborating." Kana's assistant replied. Her name was Tammy.

"Tell him the answer is still no, no matter how many times he asks. My company does not collaborate with others. We did not come this far by partnering with other people. He just keeps trying to cut in to take a piece of the cake. If he calls again, just hang up. No need to report to me." Kana really had Mitch. She did not want to collaborate. She did not need to partner with others to be successful. She already had billions in the bank. If she sold her company, she would have even more. "Understood. I will be sure to just hang up on him if he calls again," Tammy replied. Her serious expression as she pushed up her glasses made Kana chuckle. "Tammy, you can just block his number if you want. Hell, you can curse him out for all I care, not like he can do anything. What's he going to do, call HR?" Kana asked with a teasing smile. Tammy blushed as she lowered her head. Only her boss could tease her like this. Everyone else in the company was kind of scared of Tammy, mainly because she was so strict. If anyone was not doing their job and got caught by her, they could basically say goodbye to their high-paying jobs.

"Boss…." Tammy sighed. "I will be sure to tell him not to call anymore. It is still not too good to make enemies out of him since he might try to use some underhanded means. He is still quite wealthy, so he can spend money to do so."

Kana pursed her lips. She wished she could just kill him and make things easier. Or at least intimidate him until he goes insane. She did not want to deal with people like Mitchel. "Alright, we will do it your way, but remember, we have more money than him, so we can always call in a hit." "Boss, please do not say such things as calling in a hit. We do not wish to see you end up in jail." Tammy let out an exhausted sigh.

"But I am only fourteen and have lots of money. I will only get a slap on the wrist. The worst part would be explaining everything to my parents." Kana replied with a smug smile. She was rich! She could do anything! "Yes. Yes." Tammy looked at Nikkie for help only to see the girl shadowboxing and mumbling something along the lines of: Mitch take this! Take that! She really did not know what to do with these two.

"Alright, I will rest a bit and get changed for the meeting." Kana walked into her office with Nikkie right behind her. Her office had a large walk in closet, which she had all her business suits in. Since she could not keep them at home, she had a closet large enough for her to move around in so she could get changed at the office. Nikkie's clothes were on the left, and Kana's were on the right. The two quickly got changed before going to sit down on the couch. Kana's office floor only allowed women on it. All the workers on this floor were women. This was because Kana sometimes spent the night in the office in a room off to the side.

As they sat down, Tammy served tea and put some snacks on the table in front of them. "Boss, are you sure your grades will not be affected?" Tammy was worried about Kana's grades falling since Kana was always at the office after school until night time.

"Tammy, you do not need to worry about Kana's grades. She is already beyond the syllabus. She was told today she could teach classes if she wanted to. As for me I still have to study hard to stay in second place!" Nikkie pouted. She had to work so much harder while Kana only needed to look at things once to remember. She wanted to scream life was unfair, but she knew it was not the life that was unfair, but Kana, that was unfair!

"I see. It is good to know that. I will be sure to leave more work for you on your desk from now on." Tammy's normally static expression showed a trace of a smile as she pushed her glasses back up the bridge of her nose. She then bowed and left the office, leaving behind a depressed Kana.

"Nikkie, remind me to revoke Tammy's bonus."
