Xuexue said nothing, elegantly sipping her tea.

Zi Xia, full of vigor, retorted, "A mere shop boy has no say. Just serve the food, we’ll pay. Why so much nonsense?"

Then she added, "What a lousy restaurant, the promised signature dish isn’t available. Our young lady came specifically to have it. Truly disappointing."

Xiao Jiu perched atop Xuexue’s shoulder and tilted its bird head to join in, "Yes, yes, disappointing. Truly disappointing. If you don’t prepare ingredients, what’s the point of having a restaurant? Your boss might as well shut it down."

Xuexue and Zi Xia nearly burst out laughing. This bird could be irritating at times, but outside, it’s surprisingly handy when they’re not convenient to speak.

The waiter wasn’t upset and maintained a cheerful demeanor, "Yes, it’s our inadequate preparation that disappointed the customer. It’s all our fault."

This bird is bold, going straight for it with its beak. If it doesn’t get burned, it should be named Master.

Xuexue glanced at it, coolly saying, "Embarrassing."
