Chapter 418 – I want to be a start (3)
Zhong Yi returned the love letter back to Ren DongZhi. “You need to learn to see things clearer next time and find that person that’s worthy of your feelings.” She paused a little. “You can try to lose some weight too. Is there the saying that every fat person has their potential? You have very nice features and will probably be a handsome one if you lose some weight. Many will like you.”
Looking at how she was trying hard to comfort him, Ren DongZhi couldn’t help but smile. “I really am not that upset.
“But thank you anyway.”
He was right about her. She was nothing like how she was described in those rumors. Nicer than everyone else, in fact.
He wanted to do something for her before he left.
As Ren DongZhi was an easy going and generous person, he was well-liked in class. He had his friends help look into who were those people that had been bad mouthing Zhong Yi behind her back.
He wrote out the truth and posted them on the announcement board so the entire school would know what they truly were like.
Most students frowned upon behaviors like that and, once the incident blew up, the school had issued warnings to the few students who had gone the furthest.
By then, Ren DongZhi’s family had already completed his transfer process.
He had wanted to meet up with Zhong Yi one more time before he left but Zhong Yi’s spot was empty that day.
He asked another student and learned that Zhong Yi had taken a couple days off for family matters.
He was disappointed but he had to go, nonetheless.

Ren DongZhi started his weight-losing regime after he transferred to his new school. It took him a year to lose his extra weight and turn into the male god in others’ eyes.
His handsome look made him popular in school. Many girls professed their love for him but he turned them all down.
He thanked them for liking him but he could not reciprocate their feelings.
“What kind of girl do you like? We can work hard to become the kind of girls that you like.”
When asked by a schoolmate, Zhong Yi’s face appeared in Ren DongZhi’s mind. That very moment, he realized that he liked her.
Ren DongZhi looked for a time and returned to his original school, hoping to find out some information about Zhong Yi.
All he heard was that something had happened back home and that her grandmother, who was her only family member, was diagnosed with cancer. She had taken a period of time off to take care of her grandmother.
He spent some time on looking for her to no avail. He wasn’t able to help her even if had wanted to.
He had no choice but to take off. That had become the biggest regret in his teenage years.
A few years had gone by when he saw Zhong Yi again. He read about her online.
It was said that she had worked at a club before.
She did not deny what was said in the slanders and insults but admitted to them openly. She had been adopted by Fang JunRong.
Many said that she was just d**n lucky. And that they could do much better if they were her. Ren DongZhi only wanted to snicker at those bitter words – none of them could remotely measure up to Zhong Yi. He was happy to find out that Zhong Yi was finally able to run into a truly nice person after all of her obstacles.
When he found out that Zhong Yi and Li XinYun, Fang JunRong’s daughter, were hosting a talent show, Ren DongZhi went to his uncle and asked to have related training.
He had shown talents in this area in the past and had written his own songs but never had any professional training.
“Uncle, I want to be a star.”

When Zhong Yi and her sister Li XinYun started putting together the talent show, they were only doing it to drum up publicity for her sister’s new company.
Their goal was to not lose money. Nevertheless, when Zhong Yi started seeing one after another young faces talking about their dreams in a determinant manner and how their eyes beamed when they talked, Zhong Yi started to feel bad for them.
