That one joking remark eased a lot of the kids’ stiffness. So they gathered around Little Reunion again and started discussing the route for today’s visit.

There were some places they’d already gone to yesterday, so they didn’t plan to repeat those. Plus, they had more time today and could visit a lot more areas.

After the kids finally picked a route, they asked Little Reunion, "Little Reunion, what do you think if we go this way? There are tons of animals on this route, and they’re all very special. You’re definitely going to like it."

Little Reunion glanced at the route they’d chosen and didn’t object. Anyway, to him, it was all the same no matter which way they went.

Once the route was set, the kids set off. The parents watched the kids discussing and deciding things together and felt really happy. They followed slowly behind them, only picking them up when the kids got too tired to walk.

Because Little Reunion was younger and shorter, he really couldn’t walk fast, so Mu Qiancheng carried him the whole way. Of course, every now and then Jiang Xue would take over so Mu Qiancheng could rest his arms.

The elders at home also followed along behind. At first they were full of enthusiasm, but after a while they started to feel tired. So they stopped going along with Little Reunion’s group, let them go on ahead, and sat down to rest.

At that point, Lu Jintian stayed behind to keep the elders company, and he kept in touch with Jiang Xue and the others the whole time.

Because Little Reunion and the kids were walking quite far, the elders didn’t plan to walk that much. They just intended to stroll around nearby for a bit and then head back.

Luckily, the scenery in the zoo was very nice and the air was good. After resting for a while, the elders walked around for another hour, and only when they were so tired they didn’t want to take another step did they get on the sight-seeing shuttle in the park.

Meanwhile, Jiang Xue and the others had followed their route and seen many animals. Only when everyone was tired did they stop to take a break.

While they were resting, the kids all brought out the snacks they’d brought and laid them in front of Little Reunion, wanting to share with him.

It was just that Little Reunion was still too young and couldn’t eat a lot of things. So he turned them down with a smile. Jiang Xue had brought some food too—little breads and small cakes.

Niu had thrown these together at the last minute when she found out that Little Reunion and the others were going to the zoo again the next day.

There wasn’t a lot, but if they divided it up, every child could get a bit. Little Reunion happily shared his snacks with the other kids.

After they’d eaten and rested enough, they set off again. The whole morning went by quickly, and it was time for lunch.

Since they were going to keep walking around in the afternoon, it wasn’t convenient to leave the zoo and come back, in case they had to buy tickets again. Fortunately, there were restaurants inside the zoo, though the prices were on the high side. So Jiang Xue discussed it with the other parents and suggested they just eat lunch in the park.

The parents were thinking the same thing; none of them wanted the hassle of going in and out again. Seeing that all the parents agreed, Mu Qiancheng then called Lu Jintian to ask where they were.

Although the elders were tired from walking around, they hadn’t left the zoo; they were resting inside. When they heard they were going to eat together in the park, of course they had no objections.

There were three restaurants in the zoo. After talking it over, Mu Qiancheng and Jiang Xue decided to go to one called "Country Dishes." Word was that all the ingredients there were home-grown and the food was very tasty, though not exactly cheap.
