"Your suspicion is reasonable." Jiang Xue nodded, she hadn’t thought much about it before. She just felt that when she wanted to know Jin Hao’s whereabouts, there was news about him, like a pillow appearing when you want to sleep.

Huo Cong saw that Jiang Xue had taken in what he said, and he felt slightly relieved. He also thought that perhaps he was overthinking, otherwise they would be in danger.

"In that case, we’ll stay put for now and see what happens tomorrow."

"Okay!" Huo Cong nodded, planning to let Jiang Xue rest first. However, he reconsidered and felt it would be safer to make a call.

So, he said to Jiang Xue, who was about to leave, "Sister-in-law, wait a moment, I’ll make a call to check the situation first."

Jiang Xue had wanted to call earlier but was worried about disturbing the other party’s rest. However, given the circumstances, she had no choice but to bother them.

Luckily, the call was picked up quickly, obviously, the other party wasn’t resting. After Huo Cong conveyed his thoughts, the person said directly to him, "Jin Hao stayed in his villa all day and didn’t go out."

After getting the information he wanted, Huo Cong thanked the person and then hung up the phone.

"How is it?" Jiang Xue asked eagerly after seeing Huo Cong hang up the phone.

"Sister-in-law, it’s a good thing I called. The other party told me that Jin Hao didn’t go out all day."

"What did you say?" Jiang Xue’s face changed. She remembered the previous news stating that Jin Hao had gone out and even met several people to discuss dealing with her.

Now, with two different pieces of information, which one is true, and which one is false?

Huo Cong apparently thought of this issue too, and said to Jiang Xue, "Sister-in-law, I trust the Boss’s people."

"If that’s true, then the note left in my room was very likely from Jin Hao."

"Sister-in-law, let’s not jump to conclusions. It could be Jin Hao’s enemies too." Huo Cong reminded again.

However, Jiang Xue felt it was more likely to be Jin Hao. But why would he do this? What is he plotting, and is it related to her?

Jiang Xue’s head started aching. She didn’t know Jin Hao’s motives, and this passive feeling was quite uncomfortable.

"Huo Cong, I think the one who left the note must be Jin Hao."

"If it’s really him, we must be extremely careful."

"Mm!" Jiang Xue nodded as it was getting late, she said, "Let’s rest first; we have to go to Ah Li’s place early tomorrow."

After speaking, Jiang Xue left Huo Cong’s room. Shortly after she left, a shadow disappeared at the end of the corridor.

Returning to her room, Jiang Xue temporarily put aside the things she couldn’t figure out, took a bath, changed clothes, and went into the space.

In the space, Little Reunion was holding a bottle of milk and drinking. Seeing this, Jiang Xue felt guilty. She got busy again and forgot about her son.

If it kept going this way, in less than half a month, her son would surely go hungry because of her.

As if sensing Jiang Xue’s guilt, Little Reunion rubbed Jiang Xue’s face, who was squatting in front of him, and said, "Mom, don’t worry about me. I can find food myself and won’t go hungry."

These words made Jiang Xue feel even more guilty. She was an irresponsible mother, not only failing to take good care of her child but also letting such a young child go hungry, which was truly inappropriate.
