Rebirth in Famine: She Thrives by Lucky Space
Chapter 1440: Life at 1440
This made Liu Tongtong lose the last bit of caution in her heart, as this would be her home from now on.
She understood that she would only be a member of the Tao Family from now on, without a family of her own.
In fact, it wasn’t that she was cold-blooded, but she had never felt a sense of belonging to the Liu Family since childhood, never received their care. To expect her to do anything for the Liu Family now was impossible. The three women of the Tao Family, seeing Liu Tongtong being so relaxed, finally felt at ease.
This is almost like turning against one’s family on the wedding day. They’re just afraid that she might feel uncomfortable.
Both sides got the results they wanted to know, so each was reassured.
The dinner became even more sumptuous, and the men of the Tao Family said a few words to encourage the young couple.
The events and results of the afternoon at the Liu Family were all told to Liu Tongtong.
"Grandpa, rest assured, they are just passersby to me, I won’t be affected by them."
Now everyone was genuinely relieved.
"Xiao Chun, when will you leave?"
"Grandpa, I already asked, there’s a train on the third day of the New Year, we’ll leave on the third day. We are heading to the Capital which doesn’t leave much time, so I’ve already called Jin Erlin, and he will find the village head of Li Family Village."
The men of the Tao Family nodded. Leaving on the third day is pretty good, letting the children stay at home for the New Year. The three old people were indeed quite lonely.
After dinner, everyone went back to their rooms.
Today was Tao Chunhe’s big day, though there weren’t many guests or red candles, from tonight onwards the two are truly husband and wife.
Liu Tongtong was still very nervous. She knew what she had to experience tonight.
The two were very harmonious. Tao Chunhe is, after all, a young man, experiencing intimacy between a man and a woman for the first time, naturally losing control later.
The next day, Liu Tongtong forced herself to get up. After all, she is a new bride, although she doesn’t need to do anything, the attitude of a new bride should be demonstrated.
Tao Chunhe was woken up. Seeing his wife’s delicate back, he was still a bit cheeky for a moment.
"It’s already this time." Liu Tongtong was very embarrassed. It was already more than an hour past morning.
Tao Chunhe tightly held onto Liu Tongtong, not letting her get up.
"It’s just us two at home now. Why bother getting up? Sleep a little longer."
Liu Tongtong, resigned, simply closed her eyes.
When she fell asleep. Tao Chunhe didn’t sleep anymore.
He was a man with a strong sense of masculinity, and he was very satisfied with a wife this obedient.
Although they had only known each other for more than ten days and had only met a few times, Liu Tongtong in his heart held the place of a wife, so he cared.
Hoping she would remain unchanged in the future, always like this.
The two didn’t get up until noon, and lunch was just the two of them.
On the day of returning to her family on the third day, the two brought gifts to the Liu Family. The home was without Song Ping, and Liu Tongtong didn’t feel much about it, after all, her concept of this place was a home she had never lived in.
The two still stayed for a meal, because for these simple matters, the Tao Family would never leave a grip for others.
Liu Mingming saw her sister’s smile, knowing she was not implicated, and her days at the Tao Family should be quite good. In this way, she felt reassured.
"Tongtong. When are you leaving?"
"Leaving on the third day, going to the Capital. My sister-in-law wants to go to the Capital to meet her in-laws."
"Hmm, with this trip, who knows when we might meet again." Liu Mingming felt quite sentimental, having been separated from her sister since childhood. Although the emotional bond wasn’t deep, nonetheless being blood sisters, she was still worried about her.
"Sis. Don’t worry about me. I originally grew up in the countryside. Returning to the countryside doesn’t pose any adaptation issues for me."
"Tongtong, make sure to get along well with Tao Chunhe when you’re outside.
Though my marriage is unhappy, I understand that the most intimate should be one’s spouse, and sister hopes you can be happy."
"I understand, don’t worry, I definitely will." That is the home I will live in for the rest of my life, the man I will rely on, so, of course, I will wholeheartedly manage my life well.
The men of the Liu Family and Tao Chunhe chatted quite comfortably. It was just about insignificant topics.
But how could Tao Chunhe let it go at that, the Liu Family isn’t utterly wicked, but wanting the Tao Family to care so much in the future is impossible.
But Song Ping would definitely not be let go, and arrangements over there had already been made, before leaving, arrangements for Liu Changshan’s future wife had been made, and one would surely see Song Ping’s outcome.
The days passed steadily, Liu Tongtong received a notice to return home once, so the young couple, always sticking together, simply returned together.
Seeing that there was an additional woman at home, Liu Tongtong understood. She was indifferent about these. But seeing the young man’s disheartened look, she felt somewhat sympathetic, without children it wouldn’t matter, but if this new mistress of the Liu Family seriously got pregnant, birthed a son, Liu Yunting would know having a stepmother means having a stepfather.
Of course, it would be better than her, after all, a boy having a grandpa around would still suffer, but not too much.
The two did not stay for a meal, they just got to know each other. Liu Tongtong did not harbor any negative feelings, knowing well that Dad was a cold-hearted person. After exchanging pleasantries, they left.
"Xiao Chun. About that woman?"
Liu Tongtong wasn’t naive. Song Ping was definitely someone with tricks, being so calm after a divorce, she must have had a contingency.
"She was caught, just last night, with a married man, caught by the wife, so both were taken away."
"Hmm. Was it because of this, that Dad brought one home?"
Tao Chunhe shook his head "No, this one was brought home three days ago, and they had already registered their marriage that day."
Liu Tongtong now didn’t know what to say. All that talk about being on the same boat for ten years, same pillow for a hundred years is all nonsense, just within a week, there was a newcomer.
Perhaps Song Ping was out of unwillingness?
And Liu Tongtong had guessed it right. Actually, Song Ping and the man really had nothing going on. She was settling accounts with that man, and inexplicably got caught by that man’s wife.
The two did not ride back, but slowly walked back, and Tao Chunhe spoke softly about the matters concerning Song Ping.
It was almost the New Year. The streets were crowded, although everyone was hurried, it was much more lively.
The two didn’t go home, rather went to the supply and marketing cooperative to shop.
"Tao Chunhe?"
The couple turned back to look at the girl who called them.
She ran over, "Tao Chunhe, you’ve returned?"
"Mm, returned to get married, after all, we’re not young anymore."
"You got married?"
Tao Chunhe nodded.
Liu Tongtong saw the cheerful girl’s smile suddenly freeze.
