Lv Beiguang hadn’t said a word since he came in, and he couldn’t figure out why.

In his heart, he understood Yang Xiuqin’s decision. Being able to leave the countryside and return to the city was probably what all the educated youth wanted.

Since everything was discussed clearly, Old Yang stood up and prepared to leave.

Lv Beiguang also stood up and followed Old Yang out.

Yang Xiuqin packed her luggage and decided to find Jiang Xinyu.

Since she was willing to give, she’d take it. She promised herself that she would contribute when the opportunity arose, and she would definitely not take advantage.

Jiang Xinyu was quite puzzled when Yang Xiuqin came over, but laughed after hearing her explanation.

"Yang, I agree to this, but as for future projects, I’m not sure. I can’t guarantee they’ll be profitable. How about this—I’ll invest this money in the distillery."

"Teacher Jiang, I have no objections, but the thing is, I won’t have the time to come every year. That’s why I’m here to trouble you. Maybe a few years or even a decade later I might come by."

Jiang Xinyu nodded, understanding Yang Xiuqin’s thinking. "No need, I won’t be here for many years either. I’ll give you my address in the Capital. If you can’t find me here, go to the Capital to find me. Even if I’m not in the Capital, you’ll be able to find me."

"Okay." Yang Xiuqin nodded with a smile, feeling deeply grateful to Jiang Xinyu.

"Since you’re entrusting this 10% share to me, let’s sign a simple agreement to give you peace of mind.

I can’t guarantee profit or loss, but your principal will definitely not decrease."

"I understand. Thank you so much, Teacher Jiang." Yang Xiuqin felt really grateful to Jiang Xinyu.

After the two women signed the agreement, each took a copy.

"Yang, are you staying for dinner tonight?"

Yang Xiuqin shook her head, "Thank you, but I won’t stay. I want to leave tomorrow and still need to go to Village Chief Li to handle some paperwork."

"Okay. Then I won’t disturb you, Yang. If you need anything, feel free to come here." Jiang Xinyu had a very favorable impression of this generous female educated youth.

Yang Xiuqin found Li Yungui and expressed her needs.

Li Yungui promptly provided her with the necessary documents. Since the weather was neither too hot nor too cold, taking the train back would be good.

Back at the distillery, Lv Beiguang had already gone home after work. Yang Xiuqin prepared her own meal, determined to take care of her health no matter what, as there was still future Xiwang in her belly.

Lv Beiguang lay at home resting, thinking about Yang Xiuqin. He felt it was a pity for her to leave.

She was a great partner; she could immediately offer what he needed, and they had developed a kind of tacit understanding.

However, he wouldn’t stop her because, after all, this was a matter affecting her entire life.

That night, he rarely had a spring dream about a woman with a particularly good figure, but he couldn’t see her face clearly.

Upon waking, Lv Beiguang sighed, wondering what was wrong with him, feeling a bit embarrassed.

The next morning, Yang Xiuqin went alone with all the paperwork to the educated youth office.

Yang Xiuqin was the first educated youth to leave officially, so many people asked her.

"Actually, I just made some contributions and they’re offering convenience." That’s all she could say.

All the paperwork was completed, and with her home still there, there wasn’t an issue with acceptance. Finally, Yang Xiuqin felt truly at ease.

Instead of lingering in the county, she returned to Li Family Village by noon, just in time to catch Guodong delivering food. He congratulated Yang Xiuqin and brought her meal.

"Thank you, Guodong."

"You’re welcome."

Lv Beiguang and another sat together in silence for lunch.

Finally, Lv Beiguang spoke, "Be sure to stay safe out there. It’s not calm nowadays, and being alone can be inconvenient."

Yang Xiuqin kept her head down, eyes red, and softly responded with a ’hmm’.

After eating in silence, the two parted ways to handle their own tasks.

Yang Xiuqin went directly to the educated youth station. There were ten newcomers, along with two male educated youth who had previously helped her.

Everyone knew she was returning, feeling quite envious.

Then she visited the four families, all wishing her a smooth journey. She gave her remaining furniture to Hou Wenhui.

Lastly, she visited the Tao Family, receiving blessings from the Tao Family Brothers and Sisters.

The final stop was Li Yungui’s place to arrange transportation to the township for the next day, given the amount of luggage she had.

Before work, she returned to the distillery, quietly working alongside Lv Beiguang.

Lv Beiguang didn’t know what to say either, so they worked silently.

In the evening, Wei Kaiyun came over, inviting them to his home for dinner.

"Yang, we’ll count as partners in the future, so come have dinner at my place tonight."

"Okay, thank you, Mr. Wei."

Dinner was quite lavish. Yang Xiuqin was very grateful for their kindness.

Lv Beiguang escorted her back to the distillery and returned home himself. Early the next morning, the carriage arrived. The elderly gatekeeper received all of Yang Xiuqin’s grain, feeling quite grateful to her. He assisted in loading the luggage onto the carriage. By the time Lv Beiguang arrived, everything was already loaded.

"Mr. Lv, thank you."

"Xiao Yang, take care. If things don’t go well outside, come back."

"Thank you."

In the end, Yang Xiuqin never gave Lv Beiguang another glance, fearing she’d lose composure and reveal something.

Upon reaching the township, the carriage driver, Old Fourth, waited by the side. When the bus arrived, he loaded the luggage, watching it leave before driving himself home.

Lv Beiguang felt very unsettled; now it was just him. He felt everything was off. He chuckled self-deprecatingly.

He settled down and continued working. She was heading towards her bright future, so why should he feel out of sorts?

As spring planting started, Han Xiangjun returned with five children, two bodyguards, and Jing Chu.

They hadn’t been home for nearly half a year. The three kids missed their family greatly.

Jiang Xinyu saw them return and was truly excited. This wasn’t the future where you could call your kids anytime.

There was a sense of helplessness; she could only wait for them to return themselves. Shi Xian was especially excited to see his siblings back, eagerly circling them.

Wei Kaiyun held his daughter’s shoulder, quietly inquiring about her experiences while away.

Han Xiangjun felt very envious, especially of his son’s close bond with Jiang Xinyu.

Jing Chu returned and, after unpacking, directly headed to the distillery.

Seeing his daughter’s return, Lv Beiguang’s gloom disappeared. Rarely, he didn’t work at the distillery that day but went home with his daughter.

Jing Chen, in Lv Beiguang’s arms, kept watching Jing Chu, prompting her to take him and shower him with kisses. Her nephew was just too adorable, feeling as if she couldn’t cherish him enough.
