The company name was displayed in large, golden characters on the sign at the main entrance. The construction hoarding that had once surrounded the factory grounds, and the gate that had displayed the construction company’s name, had been completely dismantled.

The trash at the entrance had also been cleared away.

"So? It looks pretty good, doesn’t it?" Wang Gang asked with a smile, standing beside Wu Yun.

Behind them stood representatives from the construction and supervision teams, with Bai Yang prominent among them.

Wu Yun gazed at the integrated office building to the left of the gate, its two- and three-story sections standing tall. Its off-white exterior walls looked like marble.

The construction project manager explained that it was actually a type of colored, real stone paint, which was both aesthetically pleasing and lacked the safety concerns of a stone curtain wall.

Wu Yun took a white hard hat with the words "Jinshan Environment" printed on it from a staff member. After putting it on, he saw everyone was waiting for him to speak.

So, Wu Yun said with a smile, "Well then, let’s all go inside and take a look."

The construction company’s project manager, Xie Xin, acted as the guide for the tour, standing diagonally in front of Wu Yun and Wang Gang to lead the way.

Wang Gang was already very familiar with the site, as he had visited it frequently.

Therefore, Xie Xin’s main objective was to explain things to Wu Yun.

"President Wu, according to the blueprints, our office building is to the left of the entrance. To the right is the employee and visitor parking area."

Following the direction Xie Xin was pointing, Wu Yun saw that the parking lot was already about a third full.

"Due to the constraints of the construction land plan, the designated parking area isn’t very large. So, in consideration of your company’s future growth, we made modifications to the green belt outside the perimeter wall. Now, cars can park perfectly between the trees."

"This was the result of a design change we made after an internal discussion."

Wang Gang, who was beside them, nodded. "That’s right. I signed off on that at the time."

Wu Yun looked toward the office building and said, "Let’s check out the office building first."

The group entered through the spacious main doors of the office building. As they walked, people kept moving ahead of them to take pictures of the group.

Wu Yun gave them a single glance before paying them no more mind.

Instead, he began to survey the interior decor. The floor was laid with common non-slip ceramic tiles, and the overall design gave Wu Yun an impression of simple elegance.

"Over here is the Quality Inspection and Process Control Center planned by your company. We used double-paned, hollow tempered glass for the partitions!" As soon as they entered, Xie Xin led them to the right.

Through the glass, Wu Yun could see all sorts of equipment inside the Quality Inspection Center. It was all brand new; some pieces still had their factory protective film on them.

Wu Yun said with a laugh, "I hear the cost of all this equipment is almost as much as the cost of the building itself, is that right?"

Behind him, Zhang Cheng explained, "President Wu, only a few manufacturers in the country can produce this equipment, so our options were very limited. There was nothing to be done."

Wu Yun nodded, showing no intention of going inside for a closer look.

Seeing this, Xie Xin immediately led them on a tour of the offices and other functional rooms on that side.

Xie Xin then led them to the other side. As they passed a glass partition under a suspended ceiling, Wu Yun pointed and asked, "What’s this?"

Xie Xin smiled. "That’s a fixed glass smoke baffle. It’s designed to prevent smoke from spreading along the ceiling during a fire, which helps to slow the fire’s advance."

Afterward, under Xie Xin’s guidance, the group toured the first-floor activity room, cafeteria, and break rooms, among other areas.

Only then did they head up the stairs to the second floor.

The layout of the second floor was similar to the first, but with more rooms. Most of them were empty, while a few had been set up as offices.
