Emma chuckled, covering her mouth. "It looks like you and I have the same hobby—a love for fine food!"

"I’m Emma Watson," she said, extending her hand. "I’m English. It’s a pleasure to meet you!"

Wu Yun felt the stares from those around them. Though he felt it was a little improper, he smiled and gently squeezed her fingertips. "Emma! I recognize you! I’ve seen the *Harry Potter* movies many times!"

"I’m Wu Yun, from Huaxia," he introduced himself simply.

’Westerners really are direct,’ Wu Yun thought. The moment he introduced himself, Emma’s expression showed her interest as she asked, "Mr. Wu, do you know Mr. Lucas?"

Wu Yun’s expression remained unchanged, but inwardly, it all clicked. ’No wonder Emma sought me out.’ "Today is actually our first time meeting," he said. "I only came because I received an invitation from Mr. Lucas."

Hearing Wu Yun’s words, Emma’s curiosity about him grew. She said complimentarily, "Oh! You must be quite famous in Huaxia, then. My apologies, I’m not very familiar with it. Are you in the entertainment industry as well, Mr. Wu?"

Wu Yun nodded. After swallowing the food in his mouth, he said, "You could say that. I’ve opened a few companies in Huaxia, including a film company."

Since Emma was interested, Wu Yun didn’t mind revealing a few things. Plus, he hadn’t had a female companion with him for the past few days and was feeling a bit lonely. As it happened, Emma, who had come to him, was very much his type.

Although Emma’s public persona hadn’t crumbled yet, Wu Yun could still perceive the shrewdness revealed in her words and demeanor.

Name: Emma Watson

Age: 25

Height: 165cm

Weight: 48kg

Beauty: 92 (With makeup)

Figure: 89 (B-cup?)

Rating: 82 (Experience: Negligible)

Skills: Master of French, Master of English, Master of Acting...

Affinity: 50 (Increasing)

Emma took small bites of her steak. After swallowing, she dabbed her lips with a napkin and said, "I didn’t expect you to be a business tycoon, Mr. Wu! Do you have a collaboration with Mr. Lucas?"

Wu Yun said with a smile, "Mr. Lucas is very interested in the rights to a novel I hold. I expect we’ll have a chance to collaborate in the future."

Wu Yun didn’t overstate things, but the information he revealed made Emma’s eyes light up. A novel or screenplay that could interest George Lucas, especially if he were to direct it himself, would be at least on the level of a *Star Wars* script.

Ever since playing Hermione in *Harry Potter*, she had been typecast. When Emma was on the street, passersby were far more likely to call her Hermione than her real name.

So, Emma was desperate for a project that could change her current situation. While she’d participated in some movies and television shows over the years, the characters had no defining features and were almost immediately forgettable.

This past January, Emma had signed on for the Disney live-action film *Beauty and the Beast* to play Princess Belle, but no one would complain about having too many offers.

"Mr. Wu, don’t tell me the novel is a science fiction story from Huaxia?" Emma was highly intelligent and had deduced the answer from just a few details.

"Yes, it’s *The Three-Body Problem*, written by one of my country’s authors. I don’t know if you’ve heard of it!"

Emma’s eyes widened in surprise. "You mean the novel nominated for the 2014 Nebula Award for Best Novel! I’m a huge fan! The concepts in it are absolutely brilliant!"

...

Not far away, the small Marvel clique was gathered together, eating.

Elizabeth said with some disdain, "Hermione’s nose for opportunity must be magical. The moment Mr. Egger and the others left, she took her plate and sat right down. Her timing is impeccable!"

The others exchanged glances, amused. It was an open secret in their circle that Elizabeth couldn’t stand Emma.

The reason was none other than that they were similar in age and had both started as child stars. But Emma, who was a year younger, was world-famous, while Elizabeth was still playing relatively unimportant roles.

Scarlett’s expression grew interested. "I’m more curious about who this young man is! For Emma, with her personality, to be chatting so happily with him... he can’t be just anybody."

Robert Downey Jr. casually crossed his legs and draped an arm over the back of his chair. He watched the pair in the distance, then nodded in agreement. "Well, if everyone’s so curious, I’ll go scout things out!"

With that, he picked up his wine glass and started walking toward George Lucas.

...

Apparently having found an opening, Emma discussed the plot of *The Three-Body Problem* with Wu Yun for a while, offering her own opinions.

"Emma! It seems you really enjoy this kind of novel, don’t you?" Wu Yun listened to Emma’s views on *The Three-Body Problem*, recognizing the passion of a true fan.

Emma nodded. "I do! Back then, to play Hermione well, I read the entire *Harry Potter* series several times to really get a feel for the original books."

Emma then gave a wry smile. "But because of that, the image of Hermione has almost become my defining persona. For the past few years, I’ve been looking for good scripts to try and escape that typecasting."

"I just signed a contract with Disney in February to play the princess in *Beauty and the Beast*, but I don’t think that movie will be enough to get me out of this predicament."

But then, Emma’s tone shifted, and she said with a smile, "Mr. Wu, I’m truly interested in *The Three-Body Problem*. If it’s adapted into a film, I was wondering if I might be lucky enough to have a chance to be in it."
