Chapter 119 - Burial Mound, You’ll Die, Run!

Chapter 119: Burial Mound, You’ll Die, Run!

Everyone raised their eyes at Sun Jiezhen’s words. She was in the front, while Wang Xuewen was holding the hilt of a blade behind her and dragging the tip over the ground to create a spine-tingling screech.

Si Yinghua no longer bothered to tear off the rest of the talismans and ran over excitedly. Even Qi Hao and Jian Chongying couldn’t bother with the livestream as they also ran over to take a look. Only Lu Chengfu’s heart thumped fiercely. The talisman in his hand was so hot it felt like it was going to cook it. He finally sobered up completely and the blurry images from before flashed clearly in his mind again.

Lu Chengfu’s face was deathly pale, especially when he saw Wang Xuewen approaching bit by bit in the distance, dragging the blade along. The ghastly smile on his face was identical to the menacing expressions of the stone lions around them, just like in Lu Chengfu’s illusion before.

Lu Chengfu’s face changed drastically and his pupils contracted sharply. Seeing that everyone was mocking him as they ran over, Lu Chengfu’s face grew even more terrified. He was so frightened that his whole body shook. He hurriedly grabbed Qi Hao and Jian Chongying, who were the closest to him, by their arms, and shouted hoarsely at Si Yinghua, “Run… Run!”

Si Yinghua, Jiang Meng, and Chen Bing ignored him, rolled their eyes and cursed, “Psycho,” and continued running in Wang Xuewen and Sun Jiezhen’s direction.

On the other hand, Lu Chengfu had a tight grip on Qi Hao and Jian Chongying’s arms. Perhaps people were especially strong when they were desperate, but Qi Hao and Jian Chongying couldn’t break free of Lu Chengfu’s hold no matter how they shook their arms.

Qi Hao and Jian Chongying were really regretting bringing Lu Chengfu along this time. How could this guy be such a coward? Not to mention a fingertip, his guts were even smaller than the point of a needle.

The two were burning with curiosity over the antique blade in Wang Xuewen’s hand, and they quickly said, “Chengfu, what’s wrong with you? Hurry up and let go.”

Jian Chongying also said, “Chengfu, let go. You’re so strong, so how can you be this cowardly?”

Lu Chengfu shook his head hard, his lips trembling and his eyes wide open and bloodshot. That extremely terrified expression really scared Qi Hao and Jian Chongying.

Lu Chengfu bit his lip tightly and enunciated every word in despair and horror, “You’ll die! If you go over… you’ll die! Run!”

Qi Hao and Jian Chongying looked at each other helplessly, not taking his words seriously.

Why did it seem like this guy had turned into a different person ever since they got here? He kept staring at Xuewen. He had even smaller guts than a mouse.

Great, had he become used to scaring himself now?

Annoyed, Qi Hao couldn’t help but say, “Lu Chengfu, are you a mouse?”

Jian Chongying also advised, “Chengfu, let go. If you don’t want to go over, we won’t make you, but we’ll let you see for yourself if we’ll die when we go over.”

The two looked at each other and were about to break free from Lu Chengfu together, when Qi Hao was suddenly burned by something in Lu Chengfu’s hand. Qi Hao immediately shook off Lu Chengfu’s hand. “What are you hiding in your hand? It almost burned me.”

Qi Hao didn’t think too much, and helped Jian Chongying shake off Lu Chengfu’s hand before they ran toward Wang Xuewen.

Lu Chengfu watched the two leave with eyes that were about to crack open and trembling lips. “You’ll… die. Haozi, Chongying, you really… will…” Before he could utter the last word, Lu Chengfu raised his eyes and saw Wang Xuewen grin sinisterly at him in the distance. Then, Wang Xuewen suddenly grabbed Sun Jiezhen, who was the closest to him, and hacked at her with the blade. In an instant, her mournful scream mixed with the horrified and shocked cries of the group. Bright red blood splashed onto the stone lion next to her and made for a ghastly sight.
