Chapter 1322: Chapter 1322: Driven to Desperation

"Ptooey!" Sophie Wilson spat directly, snorting coquettishly, "Can you be even more shameless?"

He has a face as thick as a wall!

"Definitely," Charles Seymour said earnestly.

In response to him was the sound of Sophie Wilson slamming the door shut.

Charles Seymour touched his nose, sulkily saying, "Isn’t honesty good?"

Sophie Wilson left with a sullen face, scaring the secretary into silence, who could only shrink behind the computer, pretending to be nonexistent.

Actually, the secretary’s mind was filled with countless gossiping thoughts; the boss and his wife actually quarreled?

Why?

That’s not right. With their boss like that, there’s no way he could actually argue with his wife.

It’s always the wife unilaterally "abusing" the boss, so how did the boss manage to upset the wife?

Of course, the secretary was still quite professional, and this secret was forever buried in his heart.

On this side, Charles Seymour and Sophie Wilson were having an "unpleasant" time due to certain matters, but some people were genuinely quite unhappy.

"What did you say?" Felix Chapman was so shocked he couldn’t sit steadily, leaning forward with his butt half lifted, nervously staring at Henry Chapman.

"The doctors in Sophie Wilson’s hospital are experts in various fields," Henry Chapman didn’t even know what his current mood was.

Besides shock, there were many other emotions, but he couldn’t pinpoint exactly what they were. Summarized in one word — chaos!

His mind was a tangled mess!

"Do you know who they are?" Felix urgently asked.

"I’ve already sent someone to the hospital to check," Henry Chapman said in a deep voice, feeling as if a huge stone was pressing on his heart, making even breathing difficult.

"When will we have news, this..." Felix’s words were interrupted by Henry Chapman’s phone ringing.

"Alright, go ahead," Henry Chapman answered the phone, pressing the speakerphone, letting everyone hear the slightly noisy background sound, obviously from the hospital.

The caller began listing names one by one.

With each name, Felix Chapman’s face turned a shade whiter, and by the end of the list, Henry Chapman hung up, yet Felix hadn’t recovered from the shock.

"Dad..." Henry called out, feeling unsure inside.

He himself was a doctor, quite familiar with colleagues from Imperial City, especially experts in various fields, with whom he was exceedingly well-acquainted.

The names behind those people, their achievements and abilities, he could recount them all without even needing to think.

Seeing Felix Chapman’s deeply affected figure slumped in the chair, Henry’s unease deepened.

Could it be that even his father couldn’t handle this shock?

"Dad, they can invite experts, but we can invite them too," Henry said anxiously, "We haven’t lost!"

"You’re wrong," Felix sighed helplessly, saying, "Sophie Wilson’s aim is to force our Chapman Family into a corner."

"What?" Henry couldn’t believe his ears, leaning forward, thinking he must have misheard his father’s words.

"The people you found, they’re considered influential in Imperial City, right?" Felix asked hoarsely.

Henry nodded, naturally; those who could come to their hospital couldn’t possibly be ordinary wage earners.
