Chapter 1302: Chapter 1302: Ancient Customs

"That’s good." Felix nodded fairly and said, "We can’t be biased against James Reed just because of Ethan Seymour and Charles Seymour."

"We should focus on the matter, not the person, and not look at someone with colored glasses just because of their background." Felix’s lesson made Henry hurriedly say, "Dad, I understand."

"Mm, you’re doing a great job." Felix patted his son, who was as tall as him, with satisfaction, "You’ve finally grown up."

The mutual praise between the Chapman father and son was just something they immersed themselves in, as for Sophie Wilson and Charles Seymour, they didn’t think about the Chapman family’s matters at all.

The time quickly reached October, this month, for some people in the business world, something big was going to happen—Sophie Wilson and Charles Seymour were getting married!

The night before the wedding, the little one lay on the bed, staring with big eyes at Charles Seymour by the bedside.

Charles felt a headache, he had already finished telling the bedtime story, why wasn’t he sleeping yet?

"Where’s Mommy?" The little one gripped the blanket with a small, frustrated hand.

There was always a goodnight kiss from Mommy every night, but not today.

Charles spoke up, "Mommy went back to her mom’s house because tomorrow Mommy is marrying Daddy, so she has to stay at Mommy’s mom’s house."

The little one’s big, black and white eyes started to spin in circles from being confused by the many mentions of "Mommy" from Charles’ words.

However, the good thing was, he understood one point, Mommy wasn’t home tonight.

The little one’s lips pouted, feeling aggrieved, missing Mommy...

"You’ll see Mommy tomorrow." Charles advised with a bit of jealousy.

His wife and son had such a good relationship... inexplicably, he felt a bit unnecessary.

Charles quickly shook the thought out of his head, how could he have such a ridiculous idea?

"Tomorrow, Mommy will beautifully marry Daddy, then we’ll be a happy family." Charles’ voice unconsciously revealed tender anticipation, and the little one was infected by his emotions, nodding vigorously, "Mm!"

"All right then, be good and sleep, you’ll see beautiful Mommy tomorrow." Charles coaxed the little one.

The little one immediately lay down obediently, softly saying, "Goodnight, Daddy," and then quickly closed his eyes, trying hard to sleep.

As for Charles, he only left after the little one fell asleep, and as for tomorrow, he was definitely more looking forward to it than the little one.

Charles stood by the window, looking at the villa next door, where he couldn’t see anything, let alone see Sophie.

Alas... it looks like he can only wait until tomorrow.

"Sophie, did you try on the wedding dress?" Clarissa asked curiously.

Why did she have no impression and couldn’t remember Sophie trying it on?

"Nope." Sophie picked up a piece of watermelon to eat, only to have it snatched away by Clarissa, "Eat less watermelon, or you’ll wake up with swollen eyes tomorrow, and that won’t look good."

"Oh." Sophie nodded her head.

Why did she feel like everyone else was nervous but her?

"What if the wedding dress doesn’t fit since you haven’t tried it on?" Clarissa asked nervously.

Charles wouldn’t make such a blunder in the arrangements, would he?

"It won’t happen." Sophie waved her hand, "Anyway, he will definitely arrange everything well, I don’t need to worry."

"The wedding is arranged for the evening, only Charles would do that." Clarissa said with a smile.

"Mom, in ancient times, weddings were at night, it’s an ancient custom." Sophie said earnestly.
