Chapter 1964: Chapter 1944:

Despite An Zilan’s enthusiastic invitation to stay for dinner, the boss lady still decided to take Miao Yu back. However, she brought some food with her to avoid complaints at home about not bringing anything back.

But they found it a bit embarrassing, luckily Qin Nuan directly packed some food for her with a good reason—to let them sample the taste and provide some feedback.

Miao Yu was quite reluctant to leave, if it weren’t for the boss lady dragging her away, she might have stayed there.

"Mom, are we going back tomorrow? Tantan said there will be other delicious food tomorrow." Miao Yu, upon returning home, looked eagerly at the boss lady, clearly hinting that if she refused, she might sulk.

Shopkeeper entered the room and hearing this, laughed: "What’s this? My little treasure doesn’t want to come home anymore? Should I ask Forget Worries Tea House if they want a kid and sell you to them? Maybe then you can eat delicious food every day?"

Seeing his daughter’s eyes light up suddenly, Shopkeeper’s mouth twitched—he was just joking, but it seemed his daughter took it seriously, and appeared quite tempted!

"Feng Er, why aren’t you saying anything?" Asked the awkward Shopkeeper, looking at his wife, only to find her touching her face, seemingly in a state of reverie.

"That Big Sister An already has a grandson, her eldest son looks over twenty, but still looks younger than me." The boss lady sighed: "Old Miao, should I go buy a Beauty-Preserved Pill or something?"

Elixir?!

Shopkeeper smiled bitterly, if he could afford elixirs, he would’ve bought them for Feng Er long ago. But since Beauty-Preserved Pills must be consumed regularly, and considering their costs are high even though singularly inexpensive, the price of Stay-Young Elixir is too high, even half-priced could not be afforded.

Seeing Shopkeeper’s bitter expression, the boss lady quickly shook her head: "I’m just mentioning it, don’t take it seriously..."

They just run an inn with a few young helpers, their cooking flavor is poor, not even comparable to one percent of Forget Worries Tea House, so what could possibly attract customers? Otherwise, the boss wouldn’t occasionally stand in as Shopkeeper at the front. Although the young waiter could manage things without him, having more hands indeed makes it easier.

"Oh, I made Xiao Yu an outfit, I saw the bride’s dress today and it was really beautiful, I should give it a try." The boss lady also lit up: "You have no idea, the jewelry pile was so beautiful, I almost asked where to buy them."

Shopkeeper sighed relief, glad you didn’t ask; items affordable at Forget Worries Tea House are out of their purchasing power. Wouldn’t asking be embarrassing?

Anyone who didn’t know might think they were trying to get gifts, and wouldn’t that be shameful?

"You better not make it, just wear normal attire and don’t compete with Forget Worries Tea House’s girls." Shopkeeper finally sighed a bit; recognizing reality is important.

"Dad, Tantan told me to come early tomorrow, said there’ll be red envelopes blocking the door." Miao Yu tilted her head and looked at the table’s delicious food, wondering why it hadn’t been eaten yet.

"Are you even embarrassed..." Shopkeeper was half-smiling, half-sad, this girl—if they said there was food tonight, she’d probably have gone tonight.

But seeing his daughter happy, he also breathed a sigh of relief.

"Big Sister An also said to come early and help out, the more people the merrier." The boss lady smiled and nodded: "I’ll use petals for baths tonight and take out the newly made outfits."

"Fine, don’t idle around, make some handkerchiefs or something; your embroidery is very presentable." Shopkeeper hurriedly nodded, people have said so—it’s not good not to go early.

Being close with Forget Worries Tea House is advantageous for them!

"Today, Big Sister An ordered a hundred handkerchiefs from me, I figured previous embroidery was more than sufficient, using it to exchange—they didn’t want me to suffer." She pulled out a set of underwear...

She had learned to use this but was still embarrassed to wear it...

Even though they aren’t outsiders.

"What’s this?" Shopkeeper was startled, looking at the unfamiliar black item puzzled, yet somehow also felt odd.

"I’ll tell you later." After all, there are kids, the boss lady didn’t elaborate.

Miao Yu also held her small bracelet, which Tantan had given her, taken from a pretty little box with two pieces inside, one for each of them.

Tantan’s had little beads shaped into flowers using a red string—white base with a red edge, especially charming.

Hers was bunny-shaped beads—pink bunnies bound by beige strings.

Tantan let her choose first, saying it was braided by Fourth Sister-in-Law for fun, and Tantan’s little box contained other stuff, yet her now most cherished is the bracelet on her wrist.

Miao Yu affirmed her resolve to be close friends with Tantan, because no matter how, Tantan wasn’t a stingy person; she also wanted Tantan’s delicious and fun items—the closer, the more Tantan would share.

She wouldn’t be foolish to think she could have these things without Tantan’s presence.

"Later, I’ll send the one picked up last time as a gift, since we’re not using it." Shopkeeper thought for a while and said.

The boss lady also nodded.

To establish good relations requires empathy—not just unilaterally taking, or even if things are amiable now, who can ensure it remains unchanged in the future?

Meanwhile, inside Forget Worries Tea House, Tantan was earnestly pleading with Luo Qianqian: "Sister Shiqi, you’re the best, please agree..."

He Wenyu looked over surprised: "What happened? What’s up now?"

Tantan glanced at He Wenyu, and then decisively shook her head: "Nothing."

"Hey, you little girl." He Wenyu was amused and irritated, keeping things secret? Yet even if not said now, later Luo Qianqian would tell her.

She pouted but didn’t press further.

Qin Nuan came out patting He Wenyu’s shoulder: "No need to think, she’s troubled over the gift."

"Gift?" He Wenyu was startled.

"Isn’t it? Originally, there was uncertainty about what to gift—now Shiqi’s picked a screen." Qin Nuan naturally knowing Tantan well.

"It’s useless then chasing after Shiqi..." He Wenyu was somewhat speechless.

"Is she seeking Shiqi’s agreement for something? Maybe adding naming rights?" He Wenyu continued asking; after all, everyone only knew she had Spatial Storage Device, among trusted ones knowing Luo Qianqian had it too.

"Stop guessing, she wants to follow Shiqi back and have An Hao take her fishing." Qin Wen was also speechless, guessing randomly about his sister.

"Following back? Isn’t godmother..."

"An Hao went to plead, securing consent to go back with Shiqi. Then Tantan went off to complain to Shiqi—Shiqi sought Aunt An, Aunt An disagreed, so now Tantan is pestering."
