Rebate King: Every Beauty I Spoil Makes Me a Billionaire
Chapter 463: Two Hours
The almost-kiss sat between the plates. Private-room silence colored every ordinary sentence.
"When do you need to leave for the airport?" he asked.
"About two hours."
Stan smiled, slow and certain. "Alright... let’s make it worthwhile."
He stood. His arms found her with an ease that did not startle so much as gather. He lifted her, and Amelia’s breath caught, not from fear, from the sudden proof of his strength and the way her body softened against it without being asked. He walked her toward the bed and kissed her as he went.
Deep. Unhurried. Full of quiet intent.
Her heart pounded against her ribs as if it wanted out of the cage and into his chest. She kissed him back without hesitation, lost in the heat of his mouth, the taste of the meal they had barely touched still faint between them, the reality of a locked door and no audience. Hotel light held them in a soft, unused gold. Time narrowed to the span of his steps.
Inside her, a storm rose and did not knock anything over.
This was the first time she had ever been in a private room with a man she loved. The knowledge of what came next, her virginity, the line she had never let anyone near, filled her with a dizzy mix of nervousness, anticipation, and surrender. She still found it almost unreal: the woman who had hated men so completely, who had not been able to look at her father without anger because of the bastard he was, now clinging to Stan with trust that felt like a new organ. Before him she would not have believed a man could be this. Now she did not pull away.
She wanted this. She wanted him.
He laid her on the bed as if the mattress were a decision they had already made.
Each passing moment told Stan yes, she loved him, yes she cares for him, yes she loves every moment spent with him...
Despite their urges, the kiss did not rush to become anything else.
It deepened by degrees, Stan’s mouth learning the shape of her yes, Amelia answering with a softness that still shook. His hand found her waist first, then the rise of her ribs, giving her time to feel every station of the journey. When his palm closed over her breast through fabric she made a small sound into his mouth, not protest. Surprise at how quickly heat gathered there.
He eased the clothing aside as if it were a conversation. Mouth followed hand. He sucked her nipple with unhurried attention, fondling the other breast in the same patient rhythm, and Amelia’s back arched before she decided it would. Hotel light made a quiet gold of her skin. The uneaten food cooled on the table, irrelevant.
’This is happening. He is being careful. I can feel that he is being careful.’
Her heart would not slow. Nervousness lived in her thighs, in the way her fingers tightened in his hair when his tongue drew another helpless sound out of her. Desire lived there too, newer and louder. The old hatred of men tried, once, to stand up in the back of her mind. It had nothing to hold. This was Stan. This was the exception that had rewritten the rule.
He lifted his head. Checked her face.
"Still with me?"
"Yes." It came out thinner than she meant. She tried again. "Yes. Don’t stop. Just... slow."
"Slow," he agreed, and kissed the wet peak of her breast once more as a promise.
When he freed himself she looked, could not help looking, and the reality of him made her swallow. He did not joke. He did not hurry her eyes away. He let her see, then settled between her thighs only when her hands on his shoulders said stay.
He touched her first. Fingers, gentle, learning how ready she was, how tight, how the smallest circle made her breath break. Amelia hid her face against his neck for a second, overwhelmed by being known like this. Then she nodded.
He guided himself to her and stopped there, the blunt heat of him a question.
"Tell me if it hurts past what you can take."
"I will."
He pressed in an inch and waited.
The stretch stole her air. A burn, bright and specific, the body meeting a fact it had no practice for. Tears pricked without shame. He kissed them, kissed her mouth, held still until the burn loosened its first grip.
"That’s it. Breathe. I’ve got you."
She breathed. The panic that wanted to arrive did not; his stillness gave it nowhere to land. Another inch, given like a gift instead of a claim. She clung to him, nails careful on his back, the dizzy knowledge turning in her chest: my virginity, given, not taken. I am giving it.
He filled her by patience. When his hips finally met hers he stayed buried and shook with the effort of not moving, forehead against hers, asking without words whether the world was still acceptable.
Amelia’s voice was wrecked and certain.
"You can move. Slow. Please."
He did. Long, careful strokes that taught her body the difference between pain and fullness. The hurt receded into an ache that began, astonishingly, to want. She kissed him through it, lost and found in the same motion, the woman who had sworn off men holding this one as if he were the first true thing the category had ever produced.
Time narrowed to the hotel quiet, the give of the mattress, the sound of her own pulse, and Stan handling her as if she were something he intended to keep whole.
He kept the pace he had promised.
Each stroke was a long, careful question her body learned how to answer. When she tensed he shortened the motion and kissed her through it. When she softened he gave her more of the length and waited for the sound that meant yes. His mouth found her breast again, sucking slow, fondling the other as if attention itself were a way of holding her together.
