Chapter 1255: New Property

Chapter 1255: New Property

Avia seemed taken aback by Izroth’s words. The Fourth Great Clan she knew would never willingly hand over a treasure that belonged to them. This was even more so to outsiders. So, why did it sound like Izroth was so confident that he could obtain the Fire Ice Heart from them directly?

The reason behind Izroth’s confidence was simple. It had to do with one of his ongoing quests, An Essence of Madness.

One of the rewards for successfully completing that quest was to gain temporary access to the Fourth Great Clan’s Treasure Fields.

Even if the Fire Ice Heart was not located in the Treasure Fields itself, Izroth’s fame with the Fourth Great Clan would be maxed out along with his favor with the Princess of the Fourth Great Clan, Tesselia. Under such circumstances, even if the Fourth Great Clan did want to give him the Fire Ice Heart for free, at the very least, Izroth believed that they should be willing to make a fair trade for it.

’It’s one more reason why I have to pay a visit to the Mother of All Forests soon.’

The SSS-ranked quest Awakening of The Lost Bloodline, the SS-ranked quest An Essence of Madness, the unknown situation with the Seventh Demon Clan and now the Fire Ice Heart required to restore Nomii’s arm—Izroth knew that he had to prepare well for what was to come.

’There’s also still the matter with Gear. Since I have no way of contacting him directly, I asked Nova to look into his whereabouts and send word to the Mystical Realm Palace.’

Gear was infected with a mark of corruption that had plagued him for many years.

Izroth planned to utilize the same method he used to cure Nova of her mark of corruption on Gear. There was even the possibility that Gear could experience a breakthrough like Nova. If so, another formidable ally would be on the side of the Mortal Realm.

More importantly, Izroth felt indebted to Gear. It was Gear who provided him with numerous opportunities that aided in his overall growth in RML. And, Izroth wanted to repay his kindness tenfold.

"There are still things that need to be done before we can depart from Danaharpe. You did not come alone, did you?" Izroth asked.

"Lady Nomii is somewhere in the Darzhan Forest. There was something there that caught her eye. And, given Lady Nomii’s strength, there is no existence in Darzhan Forest capable of threatening her. Not to mention, Danaharpe is currently in a fragile state after the recent attack on the Noble District. Since Lady Nomii does not hold any official rank and her origins are unknown, it would be difficult for her to enter this place. Though, I have already sent word through the relic she entrusted to me that I have met up with you. We can rendezvous near the outer edge of Darzhan Forest whenever you give the word." Avia stated calmly.

"I see. Then, it can’t be helped. I have been busy, so I had not given it much immediate thought. I will make sure you won’t have to concern yourself with something similar in the future." Izroth responded.

’At the moment, Astratis and Nomii have no identity in the Mortal Realm. While it’s good for their strength to be hidden, they still need some form of identity if they want to move through Amaharpe and the territory of its allies. In this matter, the quickest way of securing an identity for them is to have them join my Special Unit. It’s not ideal, but it’s still too early for their true identities to be exposed. That said, I have no idea where Astratis went off to. With his strength, he is more than capable of protecting himself. Still, I should at least have an idea of his whereabouts. If anyone can track his location, it should be Nomii since their ethos is a unique energy source in the Mortal Realm.’

"For now, there’s someone waiting for us by the generous gift we received. Let’s go." Izroth said as he made his way toward the Apothecary Guild building exit.

Avia followed behind Izroth.

...

A few moments later...

After Izroth and Avia left the main Apothecary Guild building, they went straight forward the Central Hub.

Once the two arrived, Izroth led the way to the location given to him by Varuu.

Since Izroth could not technically own property in Danaharpe, he made a request through Varuu to sort a few matters. As a result, Varuu had her people handle the transfer of owner rights of the Duvelle family’s shop. This also helped ensure that the Duvelle family would not try anything unusual at the last second.

’This should be the place, but... It’s a little lacking. Though I can’t say I didn’t expect something like this.’

Izroth arrived in front of a three-story building. The structure itself was solid; however, the outside was left plain as all the decorations and anything of value had been removed.

"Is this the place you mentioned?" Avia inquired with furrowed brows.

The building itself was not bad, but it was severely lacking for a premier property located at such a bustling area of the Central Hub.

"This is it. The location is good and the building is sturdy. It can use a bit of work if we want to attract attention. Thankfully, I have already contacted someone to take care of the details." Izroth replied.

’I won’t let such small tricks get in my way.’

"Ah- excuse me, you are Apothecary Izroth, are you not?" A young man called out as he walked toward Izroth.

Izroth examined the young man who approached him.

The young man looked to be in his early twenties with messy dark amber hair and a pair of dark brown eyes hidden behind glasses. He wore the Apothecary Guild robes with a grade six Apothecary badge attached to his shoulder and had a brown leather satchel at his side.

The young man seemed somewhat nervous and awkward as he walked up with an air of caution about him.

’Oh? I didn’t think I would see two young grade six Apothecaries in one day. This person is not any worse than that Kian guy.’

"I am. You must be the person Apothecary Head Varuu mentioned." Izroth replied.

"Oh, how rude of me. Allow me to properly introduce myself. I am Tarzan, an acting aide of the Head of the Apothecary Guild. I have been assigned to assist Apothecary Izroth in the transference of ownership rights for the Duvelle family property." Tarzan said as he gave a slight bow politely.

He then continued, "I apologize if this comes off as rude, but my schedule is rather tightly packed and this was a last minute addition. I hope that you don’t mind us skipping the formalities and getting straight to business."

"I prefer things that way." Izroth replied without hesitation.

"Then, first-" Tarzan reached into his satchel and removed two scrolls.

"These two scrolls belong to you. One of them is the document that confirms you rightfully own this property. As for the other, it is something the Head asked me to prepare at your request. It was a bit tough on such short notice, but the Head gave me permission to use her name. Needless to say, it sped things along well." Tarzan explained.

Izroth opened both scrolls to review their contents. The moment he did so, the scrolls vanished as he received some alerts from the system and a new window appeared in front of him.

〈System Alert: You have opened x1 «Danaharpe Property Ownership Rights Scroll»!〉

〈System Alert: You can now permitted to own property within the walls of «Danaharpe City»!〉

〈System Alert: You have opened x1 «Danaharpe City Property Deed»!〉

〈System Alert: You are the new owner of «Danaharpe Shop Building»!〉

〈System Alert: All property taxes for «Danaharpe Shop Building» have been paid for [10 Years]!〉

’There doesn’t seem to be any issues with either of the scrolls. Apothecary Head Varuu chose someone competent.’

Once Izroth made sure that everything was in order, he closed out the system window.

"Everything seems to be in order." Izroth said.
