Chapter 1133: Polkentin’s Elixir of Dreams

Valkyria frowned as she furrowed her brows and looked toward the entrance into the secret underwater base in the distance.

"Palace Master Izroth is still nowhere to be seen. He also has not replied to any of the messages I sent him. Can it be that he ran into some unexpected trouble?" Valkyria said to herself.

Although they were the closest reinforcements to Kifa Karsts, Mariposa would not have sent Valkyria personally if not for Izroth’s presence. The reason she did so was to ensure that, even if something unexpected happened, it could be taken care of at a moment’s notice. This showed just how much trust Mariposa had in Valkyria.

However, with the entrance into the secret underwater base collapsing, Valkyria would have to change her approach.

"Someone prepare the Turtle Breathing Talismans. After the water rises, I will lead a small group down to investigate. If Palace Master Izroth is in trouble and requires our assistance, we must do everything we can to give it. Otherwise, we will have let the guild leader down. "Understood, Commander." Silver Eyes replied as she respectfully cupped her fists.

"That won’t be necessary." A voice suddenly sounded from above.

The abrupt emergence of a voice above them caught the Lotus Guard members off guard as they reacted fast and immediately went on a state of high alert.

However, Valkyria reacted differently. From her expression, she seemed to have recognized the owner of this voice.

"Everyone, stand down!" Valkyria commanded as she looked toward the sky.

She then continued, "Since you’ve said so, then I will not take the initiative. It is good to see you are safe, Palace Master Izroth."

At the moment, Izroth stood in the sky with Empyrean beside him and Selene happily perched on his shoulder.

As for how the three arrived outside of the secret underwater base, even Izroth was not too certain about the methods employed. However, he did know that it had to do with Empyrean.

’He has grown at a terrifying pace in such a short period of time. What exactly happened during my absence?’

Izroth had too many questions. But, before he could get the answers he was looking for, there were still some other matters to attend to.

"Wait here." Izroth said to Empyrean as he descended from the sky.

Empyrean gave a small nod in response as he looked upward to the skies higher above before closing his eyes.

In less than a breath, Izroth arrived on the ground and stood before Valkyria as he cupped his fists together and said, "It has been a while, Commander Valkyria."

Valkyria returned Izroth’s gesture with one of her own as she replied, "Palace Master Izroth, it has indeed been far too long."

Valkyria glanced over at the creatures closing in from the crumbling staircase.

"Palace Master Izroth, this... If it is the loot you’re worried about, rest assured, my Sleeping Gardenia would never take advantage of you. If you need assistance, I can promise that we will provide it at no cost." Valkyria stated.

Izroth shook his head and responded, "Commander Valkyria need not be on guard. Those coming up are a part of my skill. They will not cause any harm to you and the members of your Sleeping Gardenia."

The "monsters" rushing up the crumbling staircase was, of course, the Great Lightning Army let by the Storm Commander Sagarus.

After accomplishing their task, Izroth had already ordered to take their leave from the secret underwater base. If not for Empyrean, he would not have arrived outside before them.

"I-I see. Then, since Palace Master Izroth said that there is no need to worry, I can be at ease." Valkyria said as she maintained her composure.

However, on the inside, she could not help but be shocked. And, she was not alone. Silver Eyes who was next to her was unable to hide her expression of shock.

A creature on the level of a world boss was just a skill? How could she not be stunned by such unbelievable news?

Like many other members of Sleeping Gardenia, Silver Eyes heard several rumors surrounding Izroth with each seeming more ridiculous than the last. Even if he was amazing, she had a hard time believing some of the things she heard from the mouths of others. But, after today, Silver Eyes started to think that perhaps those rumors she heard about him were not overexaggerated. After all, a skill capable of summoning a world-level boss was unheard of.

A few moments later, Sagarus reached the top with the rest of the Lightning Soldiers. Right as they arrived, the remaining staircase collapsed and the water had already filled up well past the entrance into the secret underwater base.

Sagarus, along with the Lightning Soldiers kneeled before Izroth with their fists cupped.

"My lord, forgive this subordinate for being late." Sagarus said.

"You are not to blame, Sagarus. Things just went a little faster than anticipated. You have all done well this time around. In the future, I will find an appropriate way to reward you and the Lightning Soldiers." Izroth stated with a small nod of approval.

’Even though he is a part of the Sword of the Storm, Sagarus has his own consciousness. As for the Lightning Soldiers, while they do not show the same level of intelligence of Sagarus, I can still feel a strong will coming from them. Treating them well will not hinder me and may even help me in the future.’

"You can rest for now. I will count on you in the future as well." Izroth said as he waved his hand.

"Yes, my lord. We live to serve." Sagarus responded before he turned into a stream of lightning energy along with the other Lightning Soldiers and flowed into the Sword of the Storm at Izroth’s back.

At the same time, Izroth received a series of alerts from the system.

"Elixirs are difficult to obtain. Even our guild has only managed to obtain a total of three elixirs. An elixir that can be given out this easily—its effect is probably not all that powerful. But, an elixir is still a-" Valkyria thoughts were racing as she removed the elixir from her inventory to examine it.

Upon doing so, Valkyria’s thoughts cut off as she read over the effects of the elixir.

"I should have brought the entire Lotus Guard with me...!" Valkyria said to herself as she could only let out a regretful sigh.

Izroth had also taken out the elixir to check its effects.

Usage: Upon consuming this elixir, the user will experience the following effect(s):

-Permanently increases Mana by 3,000.

-Permanently increases Magic Power by 10%.

-Permanently increases Magical Resistance by 10%.

Special Note: Consuming this elixir more than once will not provide any benefits.
