Chapter 2611: Betrayals

Shimmy didn’t know what to do.

He already resorted to such cheap and unfair trickery to deal with Sam. It was already beneath him to do it. He was already on the edge of breaking rules...

He was counting on the fact that Hastin village never really had too much of man power..their forces already stretched thin. But Sam used the beasts for his advantage and started dealing with them.

Several places have already been attacked and are still being attacked...

Now the villages are at a lower level too...

He started looking through the forces and reassigned them quickly. But what he doesn’t know is that Sam’s friends are moving at a much faster pace. The only reason it took a lot of time at the first village is because they had to test the device.

Now that they are sure its working, they are not going to waste anymore time...

It didn’t take long before the team already trapped half the villages on the whole planet. Sam even gave them special space gate devices with all the coordinates possible.

The elders at the village were helping Sam manage the internal matters. And Sam kept them updated about the situation.

So, when they heard his next set of plans, they were shocked...

They left Sam’s command room and held a small meeting among themselves...

"Is it really alright? This is against the values of our hastin village?"

One of the village elders was really skeptical about this...

Another one scoffed at him.

"What these other factions are doing is more unethical...they targeted us just because our kids became too strong. They are doing this out of pure jealousy.

I always said our kids are a little too soft on them. They forgave these other factions so many times, that’s why they are biting back.

In my opinion, whatever Sam did is right." A female elder spoke.

"Can you stop calling Yudhi and his brothers kids? They are our village head and protectors."

"So, what? They are kids to me. I was the one took care of them when they were just infants. They don’t mind what is it to you? And don’t side track the issue. If you ask me, not only should we let Sam deal with them... we need to get out of here and help them out."

"Stop it...we are bound by a pact. We are waiting for our death. Don’t complicate it."

"Alright.."

"And still, making the other factions, clean up their own dirty tricks. This guy Sam is extremely dangerous. I wonder how he is gonna impact this war going forward."

Meanwhile, Sam already made his move...

He sent out hundreds of bird puppets. With all the puppets that he already sent out, he created a closed network.

Then he started giving instructions through the crystal tablet. In one of the villages his friends trapped, the beast with puppeting device attached to it, got the instructions directly.

The rest of the beasts started moving...they are acting like they are completely unconscious and fully sentient at the same time. Their eyes are dim, but their actions are delicate...

And just as delicately, they surrounded one particular house in the village, and then dragged the family out, except for one guy.

His complexion, and demeanour are all different compared to the rest of the villagers.

There is a special device attached to his hand. The beast carefully bit into the device and destroyed it. Immediately, the cultivation of the kid surged, reaching pretranscendent level.

He tried to struggle, scream and yell. He even tried to fight back, but the delicate nature of the beasts had gone away by then. Now, they looked just as cruel as they usually do. And he knows that he would be screwed the moment he makes a move.

Similar incidents happened across all the villages that sam captured. That too even before the forces Shimmy assigned appeared there...

While those forces are appearing, Sam started sending some messages...

After a while, he sat back and relaxed...

"Shimmy, oh Shimmy... you are still too green with the way you handle things...You always need to account for your own weakest links."

If Shimmy heard this, he would have scoffed in disdain...but what he didn’t notice is that several consummate stage cultivators from initial stage to middle stage, dozens of them actually left their posts.

Since the battle is not too heated in that cultivation range, nobody noticed their absence immediately.

And Shimmy, responsible for actually organizing and taking care of these incidents, was too focused on Sam to care for it.

Back at the forest where the spirits are being held hostage by consummate stage cultivators...

Two guys are currently incharge of patrol.

"Oy, you know there are some female spirits out there. Particularly in the forest spirits...I heard they are actually really good in the sack. We rarely get a chance to interact with them. Now might be the only time, we will be with them. Wanna give it a shot?"

"Can you only think about this shit?" The other guy was about to scold a bit more, when both of them stopped in their tracks.

"Brother, what the hell are you doing here? Are you not posted at a different spot?"

"I got something to do." The new visitor said and came closer.

The two patrol guards are not tense or suspicious.

That’s when the newcomer made his move...he took a dagger out and stabbed one, and slashed the other.

On the other side of the forest...

There is another guy standing guard...trying to make sure none of the Hastin village people would make a move...

There was no incident, no threat, no situation that he needs to handle.

Someone came to take over his role with the next shift...

He was about to leave...then all of a sudden, that new guy stabbed him in the back, straight into the heart.

In another corner, a couple is about to get intimate...the woman who was on the top, suddenly bit into the throat of the guy at the bottom.

In another spot, there were supposed to be two best friends, who grew up together, one of them snapped the other guy’s neck...

Betrayals all over the place, particularly among the people who were focused on guarding the forest...the factions that united to destroy Hastin’s faction...are now killing each other.
