Chapter 2593: Two fronts
Chapter 2593: Two fronts
Parth was forced into his sea of consciousness and the view he saw shocked him.
It was cloudy. Incredibly cloudy. Black clouds emitting that detestable black smoke are trying to occupy all of his mind.
And on the opposite side his vision, he saw Myrmon drop from the black clouds with a spear in his hands.
Parth frowned.
For the first time since the fight started, he felt like scolding himself. He even had a fleeting thought that he might have made a mistake by not preparing for this. Maybe he should have taken Sam’s advice properly.
Because right now, if what he saw is real... his sea of consciousness is at its absolute weakest.
Being the strongest man on this planet, Parth is the proud owner of the strongest sea of consciousness as well. He trained it, honed it with centuries of training, by putting his body, mind and soul as stakes.
However, right now it became so weak... weak to the point Myrmon the black energy invaded it and even Myrmon entered it without Parth even noticing.
And he was actually forced to bring all of his soul into it, losing complete control of his body.
That means... at this moment, he is officially at his weakest.
"So, this is what this formation truly does.
Attack me from both outside and inside at the same time."
Parth muttered out loud as he looked at the black clouds.
Myrmon looked at the black clouds and sighed.
"I still can’t believe this."
"What can’t you believe? This is the reality in front of you."
"I still can’t believe that we are taking you down, but even for that we needed a help from your own friend. And we have to resort to such tactics.
The deeper we are going through this set up and battle, the more I realized that you have far surpassed what anyone on this planet could achieve.
You know, I have tested that formation myself.
I was so vulnerable, I thought even a late stage consummate cultivator would have been able to kill me, without a fight.
But you were running circles in that formation.
You are truly in a league of your own."
Parth chuckled.
"So, I assume, right now as we speak, Shin must me attacking my physical body as we speak here."
"Not yet. I am going to give him a signal. We are going to attack you at the same time. You mind should be split between saving your body and saving your soul at the same time.
That will give way to this negative energy to invade your systems both physical, and spiritual, wearing you out."
"You must be really sure of yourself, if you are even explaining the whole process to me without any worry that I would figure something out."
"At this point, I don’t care. We already stepped on the tiger’s neck. We either kill it or we die. If you can indeed escape even this... then that means, we were never meant to be your rivals or enemies. So, do what you can."
"I hope you won’t regret it, because my senses are only blurred physically and in here, I can do whatever the hell I want."
As he said, a bow manifested in his hands.
Parth pulled the bow string and let it go, without an arrow.
An invisible force spread all over along with the vibrant sound of the bowstring. These sound waves suddenly, put an immense pressure on Myrmon, and at the same time, cleared the black clouds for a moment.
In that brief moment, Parth felt it, the connection with the physical body and at the same time, the senses to his physical body return, while the black negative energy continued to try and devour it.
Shin who was observing Parth, felt a subtle change in Parth’s body. He had a bad feeling and before it manifests into something worse, he decided that he would make a move.
He wielded his spear, aiming for Parth’s head, with all the strength behind the strike.
At the same time, inside the sea of consciousness, Myrmon manifested a spear strike aiming at Parth’s face.
Parth, just smiled.
*TONG*
*TONG*
A bow string pull in the mind, that blew Myrmon away and immediately as the clouds cleared and he got the connection back to his body, he took control of the body, and did another bow string pull.
Shin felt the full brunt of the attack and flew away.
Before both of them could recover, Parth used another bow string pull to connect with his body again. Without even opening his eyes, he took out an arrow from his storage, nocked it on the bow and shot it up.
The glowing arrow, flew a few meters up and bloomed like a flower before separating into dozens of arrows, all connected through energy strings originating from that bloomed flower.
The arrows fell down, and formed a cage of sorts around Parth’s body, creating a barrier.
The energy from that barrier was being sucked by the surrounding negative energy, but it would still buy a minute or so for Parth...
A minute or so that he could put complete focus on Myrmon, the other opponent in his mind.
"Let’s play, Myrmon. It has been a really long time."
In the sea of consciousness, Parth pulled his bow string, without any arrow or energy manifested on it, and aimed it at Myrmon, who was in awe at what Parth did.
*TONG*
The invisible force sent Myrmon flying away.
Parth looked at the clouds and frowned.
"These clouds are reducing my power in my own consciousness. Otherwise, I would have killed you right away."
But still, he wasn’t discouraged or frustrated. Instead, he grinned wider.
*TONG* *TONG* *TONG*
The invisible force neither spiritual energy or divine energy, kept on hitting Myrmon, who felt his whole soul shake.
He couldn’t comprehend what’s attacking him or how to respond to that. But he took damage with no chance of resistance, as if he was just a mortal in front of Parth...
And he could only breath a sigh of relief, when Parth once again found the necessary connection to his body to recreate the barrier protecting him.
